DAB'S NOT DEAD RELEASE NEWS

Hi everyone!

We want to share with you news regarding the development of DAB'S NOT DEAD and it's release.

There has been a lot of going on in the past few months that our tiny 2 person team could not really predict. We did magage to finish up Adventure mode, complete the game's soundtrack, improve Arcade mode, and overall polish the game in many ways that surely bring us closer to the release.

However, due to personal and work circumstances we were forced to slow down with the development and it's now sure that DAB'S NOT DEAD will not be released in 2021.

We want to get back on track asap and the good news is that we've secured additional budget for the development, so the whole thing is going to be way less stressful for us and we'll be able to spend more time working on the game!

We're really sorry about the delay and we very much hope to release DAB'S NOT DEAD in 2022!

Thank you!

Tiny Teams Festival Update

Hi everyone!

We're happy to announce that DAB'S NOT DEAD is going to be a part of Yogscast's Tiny Teams Festival! For this occasion, we've updated the demo with many tweaks and improvements we've been working on recently, so be sure to give it a try and wishlist the game if you enjoyed it.

Release news

We also want to announce that we have to postpone the release of the game which we orignally planned to happen during this summer. Although a big part of the game is now finished, we still need more time to fine-tune everything and create the best experience we possibly can. Although there's only 2 of us, we don't want to cut any corners here. We still very much hope to release DAB'S NOT DEAD in 2021, so expect release date news soon(ish). Thank you for your patience!

Demo changes:

- Added new map music to each chapter in the demo
- Added a new feature to the player's avatar - cutesy eyes which react to what's going on in the game.
- Added new art assets into the game
- Added a revamped version of the player's map avatar
- Part of tutorial in Chapter 1 has been rearranged and 1 new tutorial has been added
- Change Blocks in co-op have been altered. Now, both players can collect Change Blocks and Change Blocks with higher power take priority.
- Added new settings into the game, such as performance mode and shader rendering. Also, settings have been rearranged more logically.
- Improved effects in some of the dialogues
- Added revamped bloom effect - better performance & better visual appearance
- Added photosensitive warning on game start
- Added new welcome screen when game is started for the first time
- Other small bug fixes

(Demo update actually went live a few days ago, so we're sorry for not letting you know right away)

Thanks!

DAB'S NOT DEAD DEMO released!

Hey everyone!

We're happy to announce that we have released the demo version of DAB'S NOT DEAD as a part of Steam Next Fest! The demo includes 3 chapters from the full game, so you can groove to some of our tunes, try out different mechanics, and meet our Cyberspace heroes!

Something about us:

Paulina & Patryk, just a normal couple who love making video games! We made a lot of small projects and game jam thingies, and we decided that it is time to finish something much bigger. Our collaboration with AceMan, an awesome demoscene musician, made this possible, so here you go. A hacking rhythm game!

If you enjoyed the demo, you can wishlist the game (it is really helpful!). You can also join our discord server if you want to talk about the game, share your feedback, ideas, or report some nasty bugs.

Thank you!
