Our friends at Asmodev (creators of Priest Simulator) have also just released a special Steam Next Fest demo for Mercyful Flames: The Witches.
The main inspirations for this dark documentary game - that we're co-publishing with them - are the classic movie Häxan (think witchcraft, devils and dark arts) and Dagon, so give it a peek - it might be something up your alley!
It will only be available during Steam Next Fest (till 17th June), so don't miss your chance to delve into the diabolic arts!
Tha Asmodev Team would really appreciate your feedback, so feel free to drop it on the game's Steam forum. Thanks!
Devils, witchcraft and dark arts: Mercyful Flames, a game inspired by Dagon and the classic movie Häxan - limited-time DEMO OUT now!
Asmodeus called to let us know that the demo for Mercyful Flames is now out!
The game is a dark documentary based on the classic movie Häxan, and delves into the history of devils and witches. It will only be available during Steam Next Fest (till 17th June), so don't miss your chance to delve into the diabolic arts!
One of the main inspirations behind MF is Dagon, so if you enjoyed our adaptation of the cult H. P. Lovecraft story, there's a high chance this collaboration between Bit Golem (publisher) and Asmodev (developer) will be right up your alley.
Tha Asmodev Team would really appreciate your feedback, so feel free to drop it here on on the game's Steam forum. Thanks!
Our latest eldritch baby has a new limited-time demo!
Connoisseurs of all things eldritch!
Our new game-jam-spawned eldritch baby, Pool of Madness, has a brand new demo and it's only available for the duration of the Endless Replayability Fest, so make sure to give it a spin!
Pool of Madness Endless Replayability Fest Demo - major updates:
updated graphics, visibility & high resolution
rewritten physics
new feature: ability to freeze the ball (check Help), making the gameplay more dynamic and unique
new phase, power bar, explosion & blood marks and other smaller changes!
The first demo was a huge success, resulting in 11,000 wishlists and a very enthusiastic response from players, which was an awesome surprise, as it was a very early build of the game created within a month since the internal game jam that spawned PoM. We've used your feedback to introduce some updates to Early Demo #2 and plan to do the same with the current demo, so we'll really appreciate all your opinions (here on our Steam forum, Twitter or Discord!).
Please note that Pool of Madness is very much a work in progress and we're working on improving every aspect of the game. We're sharing an updated demo so we can continue gathering feedback from players early and shape the game together.
So... grab the demo and let us know what you think!

Steam Awards 2023 Nominations Now Open - Vote For Dagon!
Fellow scholars of forbidden lore!
Our Lord Cthulhu has awakened from his death-like slumber and commanded us to participate in Steam Awards 2023.
If you enjoyed Dagon, we’d really appreciate it if you nominated it for the “Labor of Love” category! We tried our best to develop the project and release new DLC and updates for the past 2 years.
The Great Old One promised not to haunt our dreams if we relay this message, so each vote brings us closer to sanity.
Thank you in advance!
