We have a beta branch to test out the changes (outlined below) we have made to Dangerous Golf on PC.
We would love for players who are particularly affected by these issues to opt into the beta branch (instructions below) and test these out for us. We will then push the beta into a patch for all customers on Monday 13th June.
We believe the beta will fix a number of issues but would like to see that confirmed with a wider test before we push the build live as a patch. [UPDATE : almost everyone who had reported the audio bugs to us have confirmed this update fixes the issues they were seeing].
Changes that are included in the beta branch include:
- Fix for audio corruption issue (CONFIRMED FIX)
- Fix for no audio issue (CONFIRMED FIX)
- Mouse and keyboard support - note that this is very much in beta at this stage (see below) though mouse sensitivity has now been added
- Settings and How to Play have been moved to the Main Menu
The mouse and keyboard support comes with the following caveats: - The game IS completely playable with mouse and keys.
- There may be places in the game where the UI does not switch to show the correct hint. We believe we have changed 95% of them but there may be some remaining which we need to identify and fix.
- There is no support as yet for remapping your controls. This will come as soon as we can get to it.
- There is no support as yet for localized keyboards. This will come as soon as we can get to it.

Instructions for opting in to the beta:
To get the beta you will need to 'opt in'. You can do this by right clicking the game in your Steam Library and choosing "Properties". From the properties window select the tab titled "Betas". From this page select beta Patch 1.2 from the drop-down menu.
WE DO ADVISE THAT YOU BACKUP YOUR SAVE GAME BEFORE TAKING THE BETA JUST IN CASE YOU HAVE ANY UNFORESEEN ISSUES.
