Hi Adventurers,
This update brings the addition of the automatic server selection system. To streamline the matchmaking process, players will no longer need to select their server region and instead will be automatically placed in the closest server based on the region of the party leader. Early Access Hotfix #83

Hi Adventurers,
This update prepares for the start of the new adventure rank season. We have also decided to remove the Fog of War to enable players to make more high-level strategic decisions weighing the risks and rewards of POIs and extraction points. Although we enjoyed the feelings of exploration added by the Fog of War, the feature led to lowered engagement from newer adventurers who we had hoped to protect with this mechanic. We’ve also added two new artifact weapons, the Catice and Bloodthirst which introduces some spectacular new effects. Now that we have our main game modes set, we plan to focus on adding more content for the dungeons in the upcoming season. We thank you and see you in the dungeons!

General Balance Updates

  • The Armor Rating curve has been modified to give slightly less PDR in the early part of the curve.
  • Cooldown time reduction bonuses are limited to a maximum cap of 65%.

Class Balance Updates:

  • Casting a spell with Time Distortion equipped now applies a -30% Action Speed debuff.
  • Sorcerer’s Stone Skin duration changed from 10 seconds to 15 seconds, and its physical damage reduction bonus changed from 10% to 15%.

Item Balance Updates:

  • Random modifiers have been significantly modified.
  • Weapon damage for most weapons have been updated.
  • The weapon animation for the Club has been improved.
  • The draw speed of the Crystal Sword has been slightly improved.
  • The gear score of items have been readjusted. Helmets, gloves, and boots have had their gear score slightly increased. Weapons and crafted items have had their gear score normalized.

Early Access Hotfix #81

Hi Adventurers,

This hotfix makes some adjustments to the Continuous Match Making system and the Dark Swarm settings to tweak the tempo of the dungeons. We’ve also made adjustments to the Fog of War by doubling the view size and testing its inclusion in the HR dungeons.

All MMR ratings have now been reset to test the new MMR formula along with MMR range restrictions for teams. The MMR difference between the highest and the lowest member in a party can no longer exceed 390 MMR. To encourage more people to test the new Arena MMR system we’ve removed the item loss penalties for losing an Arena match, meaning you will no longer lose your items upon a loss. We have also updated the Arena map pool for this test season.

We also intend to hold a special Arena event for the final week of this season after Arena Test Season #3, as an end of season event. During this event, we will remove the Legendary item limit, allowing participants to bring in their unique and artifact items. Thank you and see you in the dungeons!

Migrate Epic Games Account to Blacksmith


Due to the end of game support on Epic Games, we have decided to migrate Epic Games users to the Blacksmith platform.
Please migrate by following the steps below, you will be able to play the game on Blacksmith.

1) Open the Epic Games client and click on the "Get Migration Code" button to generate a migration code. Then, click "Copy" to save the code.
2) Launch the game on Blacksmith and click "Transfer My Account". (You must use a new Blacksmith Account to make the transfer)
3) Enter the migration code and click "Link Account".
4) Click "Done", then the game will close itself. Please restart the game.

Early Access Hotfix #80

Hi Adventurers,

This update continues the expansion of the Random Dungeon system. The Random Dungeon system have now been applied to both the Ruins and Goblin Cave dungeons. We have also added numerous new modules to various locales. This update also adds more class content as we flesh out of the Sorcerer class with new perks and spells.

In our quest to make the game more accessible we feel we have made good progress with the current Normal game modes. However, we also feel that we have lost a lot of the hardcore edge we originally intended. In the past we had pursued the strategy of pushing the High-roller mode as the definitive end goal for ALL players and tried to press players into that mode by retaining a high level of consistency between the Normal and HR modes. Recently, our thinking has changed and we now look at the High-Roller experience as a uniquely separate experience from the Normal mode.

Our goal for High-rollers is no longer broad appeal or high participation, but a return to a true hardcore playground that serves as a high-end test for only the strongest willed players and parties. We believe that the original versions of DaD with the dark swarm circles and random portals are more aligned with this vision, and we will be testing the return of that system for the HR dungeons.

Please understand that there will be growing pains as we tune this system to properly work along with the new random dungeons and continuous matchmaking system. We will also need time to better adjust the rewards for surviving the much more brutal HR dungeons. Unfortunately, our internal capacity has limits in finding the correct balance for the new HR dungeons, and our goal is to fine-tune this system along with the hardcore community so we can properly release a “Return to the Hardcore Dungeons” by the start of the next season.

We also like to notify players that the current Arena Test Season #2 will be ending soon in March. Please see the timer in the Arena leaderboard for the precise date. We’ve collected good data and will be making some adjustments for Arena Test Season #3 which will begin shortly afterwards. Please note that for the shortened Arena Test Season #3, we plan to temporarily allow players to keep their items after a loss, even if the item does not have the “Found by the player” designation. We also plan to update the map rotation for the next Arena season including the addition of new modules.

Finally, players will now be able to see their ban/report data for the cheaters they have reported. The data is displayed for a rolling reporting period (currently set at the previous 30 days.) We plan to utilize this data to make large improvements to the reporting system and build a cleaner experience for everyone. We thank you for your continued support and see you in the dungeons!

  • Improved the visibility of players affected by the Cleric's Divine Strike buff, which previously obstructed too much of the screen.
