It’s been quite a while since we spoke to you all last. We’ve been really busy here at the studio these last few months. We launched Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics on all platforms and we’ve launched a Kickstarter for a new card game.
But that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about Dark Future… far from it! We’ve been busy beavering away on the game so we thought we’d share a few updates with you;
Date
The big question everyone wants answered is, when is it being released. The answer, “soon”.
We know this answer isn’t as accurate as it could be but that’s for secret reasons we can’t go into just yet. Rest assured things are moving on at a fast pace now and we are getting closer and closer to finalising the release date, and as soon as that’s something we can talk about, we will!
100% related to this, here’s a photo of half of the Dark Future team somewhere in Nottingham the other day… you might be able to guess where, and from the looks on our faces, probably why...
Screenshots
So how about an image or two? Or four?

What’s next?
We’re going to refresh the Steam page soon with new video, new screens, and so on, so look for that in the coming weeks.
Also, if you have any questions about the game get them in now and we’ll do our best to answer them, and make sure you’ve signed up to our email newsletter for more.
Speak to you soon!
New screenshots added
We've added a selection of new screenshots to the Store Page showing off the mysterious Car Corpse Valley and the T-Birds Gangcult territories.
Stacks of burned-out vehicles and long-abandoned outposts highlight the danger of this crumbling world.
We'll have more to show off soon, including some gameplay footage and more of the Big Empty!
New screenshots and video added!
Today we added a selection of new screenshots from in-game. While still pre-alpha, these screenshots better demonstrate the aesthetic of the game, powered by Unreal Engine 4!
As well as this, we've added a video detailing the science and research that has gone into the game's design.
A major part of the creative process while developing Dark Future: Blood Red States has been the implementation of real world ideas, keeping the fantastical setting grounded in a feasible environment. The original Dark Future board game was set in the distant future of 1995, and as such, we have had to examine what threats the world now faces, compared to those posited by Games Workshop in 1988.
We consulted with scientists from the University of East Anglia, as well as noted games writer and Dark Future author James Swallow, to help establish the settings and themes that you as the player will experience...
Steam page launches!
Today, we launch the Dark Future: Blood Red States Steam page!
This is a big step in the development of the game, as people can now wishlist Dark Future: Blood Red States so that they're kept up-to-date with information, release dates and promo for the game!
The Community Hub also launches as part of this, so keep your eyes peeled in the Steam forum for discussions about the game, development updates, competitions and more. We'd love to hear from you so don't hesitate if you have any questions, want to show off your old Dark Future miniatures, or have any thoughts on our adaptation.
