The Price: As we have noticed the community, we have previously adjusted the price from $14.99 to $16.99 USD and the final price will remain the same.
About Dark Light 1.0 – Content Update During the 2.5 years long journey since our first EA release in 2020, we have delivered three major content updates. With this final content update, our world is now 5 times bigger than the original. The estimate play time for normal players should be around 20 to 30 hours.
The New World: The Host Towner of Celestial
On top of our existing 5 worlds: Under city The Sewer City of Flesh The Old Ruin The Lost Kingdom
We finally be able to deliver the last world “The Host Tower of Celestial” to make Dark Light a solid and completed game.
We now have 6 unique worlds, each of them is a biome. The last world will be the most challenging one. There will be more to explore and you will encounter stronger enemies.
New Bosses
Old players, please be expected stronger faction bosses and of course, our final boss. For new players, we now have 14 major bosses and numbers of elite enemies waiting for you to challenge.
New Enemies
We will introduce 2 more categories of enemies, and there will be normal and elite versions of each category, so we now have more than 23 types of enemies.
New Weapons We will introduce 2 more powerful weapons in the final release.
We now have 7 Range weapons, 8 Melee weapons and 3 throwable weapons. Player can upgrade the weapons and customize the weapons elementally.
Factions and Skills In the early stage of the game, players are able to gain temporary skills from variable totems from different factions. After you are familiar with the skills, you can decide which faction you would like to join and develop their skills by complete quests. We have 40+ powerful skills in total for players to develop.
Dark Hunter’s Origin & Multiple endings In the process of exploring the new world, you will be able to discover Dark Hunter’s origin. During the interaction with the faction leaders, derive different endings, which means every decision you make matters. We have 8 different ending titles for you to unveil.
More Achievements: We have added 8 more steam achievements.
Other Improvement On top of the final content, we have also tried our best to accomplish some of the tasks on the refine list, which include:
-Added high light to interactive objects like doors, breakable objects and informative objects.
-Added currency exchange and vault access on portals.
-Enabled trade for health and skill fuel orb with gems (you need to find Gem Smith)
-Improved navigation maps, added more signs.
-Added interactive sound for navigating world map.

-Fixed droids did not recognize friendly faction troops which could accidentally turn the faction hostile.
-Fixed mutant troops couldn’t detect the player when the player jumped up to a platform.
-Improved hitbox on large melee weapons “Blue Sorrow” and “Death Wind”.
-Fixed droid slow detection during dragon boss fights.
-Fixed laser trap in Sewer section shares damage with droid.

Major Refine Update V0.94
Hello Dark Hunters,
After our last major update, we received a lot of feedback. We are gratified that more and more people are enjoying the game, which means our effort has paid off. We also understand there are still flaws in the game. After analyzing community feedback, we have been working very hard in the past 3 months to polish the game, and come out with this refine patch before our final release.
Here is the detail on what has been improved:
World Map Interface
We have redesigned the world map interface and combined the current four major worlds into one big map. Players will now have a clearer vision of the whole Dark Light world, also a better direction on portal travelling, boss locations, re-spawn points, keys and activate quests locations.
Skill Selection Interface
We have added skill selection interfaces on each faction side. After developing the skills, players can utilize the selection interface to assign favourite skills to skill slots. During the game, players can quickly swap between four selected skills. Also, players can still use the quick keys to replace the assigned skills.
Player attack and combat hit impact refine
Added hit-stop system in melee combat, which will give players a dynamic on-hit experience, depending on the use of different weapons to attack different enemies. The newly designed visual effect and improved sound effect add extra layers of impact.
Other player refine and bug fix
-Refined player double jump that when the character is in the air, there is a buffer time for the player to do 2nd jump.
-Run to stop behaviour on ledge preventing the character from falling from platforms.
-Refined climb animation that the character now has a smooth action when climbing passable floors and ledges.
-Refined camera shake system -Refined dialogue text animation
-Player will no longer take damage when using the teleport skill
Game balancing:
-Less currency is needed when upgrading health and stamina levels.
-More Gem/Stone reward when defeating certain bosses.
-Healing orb is now increasing your health by percentage instead of actual value.
What’s Next…
In the next few months, we will be concentrating on developing the content for final release. We are currently working on the last area of the map, also designing the final bosses.
Price adjustment notice
As we have mentioned in Early Access notes, the price of Dark Light will be increased slightly upon game completion. We'd like to take the opportunity to make this notice that our price will change from $14.99 USD to $16.99 USD (Or your regional equivalent) by 8th July 2022.
Here are the reasons we are making this adjustment:
- To keep our promise and to be fair to the players who supported us during Early Access stage.
- As required by Steam platform, to be able to run discount promotions when launching the final version, we need to adjust the price at least 30 days before the final release. We will have more freedom to set the release date once adjust to the final price.
For people who would like to wait until the full release, there is no need to be hurry as there will be a launch discount during when we leave Early Access.

Update V0.92 Introducing Ammo System
Hello Dark-Hunters,
It has been 1.5 months since our last major update. During this period, we have evaluated your feedback and extracted valuable advice. Based on that, we’ve been busy working on refining the game, hoping to provide you with a better experience.
Here is the detailed information about the changes and improvements:
Introducing Ammo System
-Ammo system has been separated from the energy system. Firing guns no longer consume energy but consume bullets. Players can loot ammo from enemies or buy it from the weapon vendor.
-Along with upgrading your weapon in general, your weapon’s damage rate and ammo clip size will increase, which means you’ll give the enemies more damage on each shot and be able to fire more shots for each reload by upgrading your weapon.
-You can choose to manual-reload your weapon or wait for the character to do auto-reload every time you empty the ammo.
With the new Ammo System, player will have a much smoother combat experience in combination using range and melee weapons.
Improved in-air attack
Range
-The in-air time has been extended, so you won’t fall when shooting in the air.
-The air shoot animation has also been improved.
Melee
-Added new animation for melee in air attack also adjusted in-air timing.
Players will have a much better experience making an in-air attack. Fighting air enemies is also made more accessible.
Bugs and issues
-Fixed robot sharing damage with player issue.
-Fixed ‘attack music doesn’t stop after killing Colver boss’ issue.
-Fixed ‘permeant quest mark on Cargo-bay soldier’ issue
-Fixed ‘spike trap doesn’t hurt enemies’ issue in the Great Swamp map.
-Added quest UI tutorial loading screen when getting the first quest.
-Fixed ‘infinite loot box’ issue in the Underground Chamber map.
-Increased item drop chances on each enemy
-Increase stone carrier enemies in Underground – Sewer. People who need more gems and stones can explore the area and loot from enemies.
-Reduced charging time for Death Thunder’s Edge (melee weapon).
-Reduced charging time for RX400 Anti-Matter Beam (range weapon).
-Balanced melee weapon energy consumption.

Hi All,
Just a small follow up patch after ‘The Lost Kingdom’ major update to fix some bugs:
- Fixed issue that passive faction skills could accidentally attack friendly soldiers.
- Fixed dragon interaction with player melee attack issue.
- Fixed issue that droid is not following the player when changing scenes.
-After killing a faction boss, if the player missed picking up items, you can now go back to the boss room to pick up leftover items.
- Fixed bug in ‘Old Chancellery’ map when the player dies in the scene, the faction-soldiers-fight cinematic was not triggered.
