Update 10 Available
Update 10 is out currently. There are no new features, but lots of bugfixes and polish work in order to help support the IGF build on Steam.
Fixes are :
- can now ban users for all time
- users can reported for bad behaviour or cheating (/report)
- playlist game modes now contain 'required' game options
- co-op playlists vastly improved
- matchmaking queues now have accurate statistics for players in queue
- clock time issues with in-match time not matching server game time
- ball reset UI fixed
- post game voting now contains your initial game mode
- auto login with long lived tokens (when not on steam build)
- drop down menus now work with a controller
- new game mode options supported (player v ball)
- controller driven mouse now has exponential movement, much smoother
- music plays when match actually starts
- game server names now show up in menus
- chat line improvements with direct user messages
- party join / invite fixes
- crash reporter submit button now not covered by steam
- uptime fix in UI
- mission tuning in many missions (including training missions)
- velocity and user direction reset when respawning
- back button on web login screen
Update 9 Available in Early Access
Dearest BrackenSackers,
It's been a while since update 8 but that's because update 9 is a game changer (literally). We've been working on this one for about three months, and when you see it, we're sure you'll see why it's such a big deal.
Apart from the huge UI overhaul with enhanced performance, functionality, audio and actual depth, we now have multiplayer matchmaking and parties! You can queue for online BrackenSack matches with friends! Once in the match, you can chat in game, team, party, or whisper.
Steam integration is in progress!
Right now you use your Twitch login to play Dashkin online, but as we ramp up for our Steam launch, we're working on Steam login.
Join us on 9/30/2018 at around 8-10 PST on twitch.tv/chluaid or just open Dashkin and follow the update prompts. Bring your friends. Also maybe a drink and some finger food. Pets welcome.
Important Reminder
As this is Early Access, you'll need to reset your user data (that terrifying button at the bottom of the Singleplayer menu). I know it's painful to lose high scores, but starting over between updates is necessary to avoid clashing between old and new versions of challenges. In the future, there'll be an in-game prompt for this.
