Happy Anniversary

Another big year has come and gone. We joined the Justice League Dark to stop threats of a dark magical variety, and then faced down even darker threats from the Dark Multiverse and the Dark Knights.

It's time to lighten up a little as we head into 2020, staring with the anniversary event and...the threat of complete annihilation at the hands of the Anti-Monitor.

Alright, well, we'll start lightening up a bit soon. For now, it IS time to celebrate. Enjoy the Attack of the Anti-Monitor anniversary event through January, and because it is our anniversary, make sure to log in now to claim your anniversary gifts!

As always, your support through the years is invaluable. Thank you for spending your 2019 with us. Now, on to 2020!

New Episode: Metal Part II

Earth is sinking into the Dark Multiverse, Batman and Superman are missing, and the planet Thanagar has a world-destroying gun aimed at Earth. Team-up with Hawkgirl, Martian Manhunter, and Batman to battle the Dark Knights: twisted alternate versions of Batman!

Journey through Batman's nightmares, Atlantis' Silent School, and Oa's Sciencells before diving headlong into the Forge of Worlds at the heart of the Dark Multiverse. Only you can save reality from crumbling, but first you must defeat Dawnbreaker, the Drowned, and the Bat God Barbatos, leader of the Dark Knights!

To play this content your character must be level 30 and have a minimum Combat Rating of 264.

For a limited time, special “Event” versions of all content in Metal Part II will be available to all players level 15+ as well! Look for these Event versions in the Events tab of your On Duty menu.

New Duo: Batscape

Players arrive to the Oblivion Bar, one of the few seemingly safe places left after the events of Metal Part I, under the pretense of meeting with the last of Earth's resistance to decide how to respond to the Dark Knights and the sinking of our universe into the Dark Multiverse. Together, they will delve into the depths of Batman’s mind to free him from Barbatos’ influence.

New Open World Missions: Thanagar

Hawkgirl, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern T’Larto are coordinating efforts with the hawk planet’s authorities to push back the Dark Knights advance on Thanagar.

New Alert: Damage Control

Batman knows what the Dark Knights are going to do next, because he knows how they think. The heroes and villains need to get to Atlantis and the Oan Sciencells to stop the Dark Knights. Dawnbreaker has taken over the Sciencells; freeing prisoners and sending them to the front lines on Thanagar. In Atlantis, the Drowned has invaded and slaughtered or mind-controlled most of the Atlanteans, who are still recovering from recent events.

New Raid and Elite Raid: The Phoenix Cannon

Batman, with the Key of Atlan in hand, meets Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, and players on Thanagar. They plan on using the key along with the Phoenix Cannon to venture into the Dark Multiverse.

New Raid and Elite Raid: Into the Dark Multiverse

Batman, Wonder Woman, and Hawkgirl meet players in the Dark Multiverse. They are determined to take the fight to Barbatos as well as find and rescue Superman.

Dark Knights Time Capsule

Dark Knights Time Capsule

Evil will soon be on the move in Episode 35: Metal Part I. Get a head start on your nightmares with the Dark Knights Time Capsule, and spread the fear. This capsule, like all Time Capsules, can be unlocked with Stabilizers or purchased directly in the Marketplace. Stabilizers can be earned in-game or purchased in the Marketplace.

If you’re looking to learn more about how to get, open, and use a Time Capsule - or what is in previous Time Capsules - check out our helpful guide!

Dark Knights Gear Styles

Batman. Joker. The Dark Multiverse. When combined, these three conjure up terrible, twisted reflections of our world. Inspired by The Batman Who Laughs, the Laughing Knight gear styles should provide plenty of sleepless nights and horrifying dreams for you, your friends, and anyone who has the unfortunate luck to bump into you in-game.

You will receive a random gear piece in your loot selection window in every Dark Knights Time Capsule you open. When consumed, the gear will become level-appropriate to your character. The Enhanced version of the gear will also appear (less commonly) in the loot selection window, and when consumed will also become level-appropriate to your character.

Dark Knights Collection Styles

It is unclear if the Dark Multiverse is rising into our world or if our world is descending down into it. Either way, chaos and dark visions await. Embrace the power of what's to come with the Orange Flux Fire Aura, be the twisted monster you were born to be with the Minotaur Helmet, or become the darkness itself with the Ink Material. These styles are earned through collections, which will appear in the loot selection window for every Dark Knights Time Capsule.

Dark Knights Classics

The Dark Knights Time Capsule features many classic, fan-favorite auras in all-new color variants and new chroma materials. Like everything else, these will randomly appear in the loot selection window when you open a Dark Knights Time Capsule.

Dark Knights Comic Covers

Finally, open 15 Dark Knight Time Capsules to complete a feat and receive six comic book covers from the Metal story arc. These come as base items, in both a regular movie-poster sized version and a large there-goes-my-whole-wall version.

AVAILABLE AUGUST 22, 2019!

The Dark Knights Time Capsule will launch on August 22, 2019. Log in and unlock yours!

Game Update 94 and Spring!

Springtime Seasonal Event

Poison Ivy is back to wreak havoc on the people of Gotham City! We’ve added three new Feats, new Spring-themed Base items, a new Spring-themed suit and a Blossoming Spore pet. Collect Seed Pods and purchase Spring items from “Arborist Louis” next to Swamp Thing in the Watchtower or “The Misgiving Tree” next to Poison Ivy in the Hall of Doom.

Villains can learn more about Poison Ivy’s plans by speaking to her in the Hall of Doom’s Pit, while Heroes can speak to Swamp Thing in the Watchtower’s Aquacultural Area to help bring down Ivy and her minions. Speak to Veronica Cale (Villains) or Doctor Sarah Charles (Heroes) to find out more about taking on Swamp Thing. Level Requirement: 10

New Feats:

Character Updates and Skins

Wonder Woman, Batman, Circe, Lex Luthor, and the Joker have had their NPC models and comm-heads upgraded everywhere except for Legends. Additionally, three new human player character skins have been added for both for male and female player characters. These new skins can be found in character creation or at the skins vendor in-game.

Navigation Diamond

The navigation diamond is a new UI display that helps player’s get to their next mission destination. It appears as a colored diamond on screen during gameplay, points directly to your destination, and shows how far away the destination is. This feature can be disabled in the UI settings under the “Show Navigation Diamond” option.

Source Marks and Universal Tier Vendor

A new vendor is available in all safehouses. This vendor automatically offers players tier gear appropriate for their Combat Rating, to alleviate some of the confusion experienced when it is time to find the next vendor. The vendor currently lists gear up to Episode 31. Additionally, a new set of Level 25 introductory gear has been added.

Marks of Victory have been converted to Source Marks (1:1 conversion rate). Source Marks are earned in the same way (as Marks of Victory previously) in content and respecting relevancy, and stack to 999999. Costs for tier gear, now purchased with Source Marks, have been standardized and made more consistent.

Leveling Content Updates

We have made a large amount of updates and quality of life changes to early leveling content across the game. The main focus of our work was to streamline the early leveling content help players stay on track. Several changes include reducing mission objective counts, reducing damage from enemies, removing counter attacks from enemies, decreasing NPC density of combat areas for missions, better enemy placement, cleaned up text messages in missions and in instances, and adding waypoint markers to many boss instances.

These changes apply to the following story arcs up to their boss fight instances:
