Hit the fairway and the zombie hordes with Frank West in Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf out now
“You said we were gonna play mini golf!” – Frank West, Dead Rising 4.
Frank West was promised mini golf and he’s going to get mini golf, as Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf launches today on Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam.
Bringing three modes of zombie stroking play to the tee (Online Multiplayer, Local Multiplayer and Single Player), we’ve constructed a challenge for the most avid undead golfer. With Frank in the announcer’s box offering the most colorful of color-commentary, players will take control of Connor, Isaac, Jessa and Jordan as they compete on six different courses each with four holes. Armed with an arsenal of 3 clubs, players will have a Driver for long range shots, a Wedge for shooting over obstacles and of course a Putter for putting the ball in the hole.
Players will also be able to use the Ball Buster, a wheel of misfortune that allows them to randomly select a player (including themselves) and add a status affect that can change the game such as; bouncier balls, reduced shot power, a sped up or hidden shot meter and new obstacles on the course. Truly screw over the competition for extra hilarity by playing cheap and dirty.
Of course, a Dead Rising game wouldn’t be complete without the ability to pulverize zombies in a unique fashion, and driving the ball through the undead hordes will give players Zenny, the Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf currency. This earned currency can be used to buy awesome character customization options that will let players outfit their character with a variety of new skills and looks including:
• 8 unique club sets; higher level clubs have longer range and larger sweet spots to get you closer and more accurately to the hole
• A variety of golf balls that can have explosive effects when you get the perfect shot
• 20 Exo Suits to purchase, with a variety of different colors to fit your style
• Over 10 unique helmets to add flare to your character
Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf is included as part of the Dead Rising 4 Season Pass for $24.99 (USD) / €19.99 / £16.24, which is available for purchase in the Microsoft Store and on Steam. Players can also get the pack as a standalone purchase for $9.99 (USD) / €9.99 / £7.99, or get the game and Season Pass together in the Dead Rising 4 Digital Deluxe Edition which is $79.99 (USD) / €79.99 / £54.99.

Dead Rising 4 swarms to Steam on March 14th
Dead Rising 4 is unleashing a new kind of undead plague on PCs this spring when it arrives for Steam on March 14th, 2017.
It’s time to get gory as photojournalist and zombie outbreak survivor Frank West returns to Willamette, Colorado sixteen years after the events of the original Dead Rising. Frank finds the town under siege from another zombie infestation and the rebuilt Willamette Memorial Megaplex Mall stocked with bloody entrails and all sorts of consumer goods.
Frank will not only be pitted against the zombie horde but also two new and dangerous kinds of undead creatures as he comes across spry and energetic freshly infected zombies and the dangerously intelligent Evo threat. He will also face a shadowy para-military organization and some not-so-friendly survivors who have their own opinions on how to make it through the zombie apocalypse.
Can Frank uncover what’s behind this latest zombie outbreak? Can he get out of Willamette alive? Just how many selfies will he take? With intense action and an unmatched level of weapon and character customization, Dead Rising 4 delivers a heart pounding experience as players explore, scavenge and fight to survive in an open world sandbox on the brink of the next undead outbreak.
The digital Steam release is available to pre-order starting today at a special faaantastic 20% off price of $47.99 (USD). After launch the game will then become $59.99 (USD).

Improved DirectInput game pad detection.
Mall music now loops in sequence and without repeating the same track.
Reduced VRAM usage (currently 1,300MB ~ 1,800MB) that may have contributed to performance degradation for certain video cards with small VRAM.

Patch #2 Now Available
Change log:
Following issues have been addressed in this patch:
- Black screen and crash upon launch
- Game resolution resets to default after relaunch
- Cliff's (the machete boss) damage rate scales up with increased frame rate.
- Missing audio under certain Windows configuration
Investigation continues on a potential memory leak some users have been experiencing, which may also be a contributing factor for the framerate degradation.
In the meantime, please try disabling DSR (downsampling) and avoid Alt-Tab task task-switching if you experience frame rate problems.
Frank's Files: Frank West
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Dead Rising franchise, and the release of Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record on PS4, Xbox one and Steam we are taking a look at some of the characters who play a major role in the early games in the Dead Rising series with "Frank's Files".
Today we begin with Frank West himself.
Not much is known about Frank West’s life before he arrives in Willamette Colorado looking for the “scoop of a lifetime”. He admits to having covered wars as a journalist, though he’s not specific about which ones. What is clear is that West works freelance, doing whatever it takes to get to the bottom of the story in hopes of reaching not only the truth but fame and money when he sells the truth to the highest bidder.
Hiring a helicopter and pilot Frank flies beyond a military blockade to Willamette Colorado, believing that something is going on in the small town. There he finds America’s first zombie outbreak and a handful of survivors that have barricaded themselves in the local shopping mall.
Now working with Jessica McCarney, Brad Garrison and Otis Washington, Frank is trying to help those who have survived while uncovering a government conspiracy and dealing with more than just the zombie menace. Frank must manage to uncover the truth behind the outbreak, stop the zombie infection from spreading.
