So, before, Dead was split into the default branch and the beta branch.
The default branch 5.0.0.6 meant the alternative dodge function did not work.
The beta branch 5.0.0.7 meant the alternative doge worked but the full screen function did not.
As a society we can all agree that this is dumb. Well, hopfully, this is fixed now with update 5.0.0.9!
Please let me know if this doesn't work for you or if you experience any issues.

Big think going on here. Working on fixing this fullscreen bug and it's proving to be way harder than it deserves to be.
For this reason, I'm going becoming corrupt.
Version 5.0.0.6 of Dead is now the default.
This means the alternative dodge will not work on diagonals but the fullscreen function will work. I feel this is a better trade off for the time being as I feel more people use fullscreen than the alt-dodge.
Version 5.0.0.7 is available as a beta branch under [beta].

5.0.0.6 Rollback Option in Beta Branches
Some users have reported issues with the latest version 5.0.0.7.
Issues include having a development mode unlocked and the fullscreen option causing stretching.
If you are having similar issues you can now roll back to v5.0.0.6 in Steam. Simply right click on Dead in your Steam Library, navigate to Betas and choose "previous."
Thanks to everyone reporting these issues. This is only a temporary fix until I can figure out a real solution.

Yes there is. Only a small one.
Alternative dodge now works on diagonals This somehow got through all these years. But yes, if you're the sort of person that uses the alternative dodge option then you can now dodge on diagonal directions.
Unlock All Bosses If you have completed the game once then, included with new game modifiers, is the option to simply unlock all the bosses at once. This may also automatically give you the achievement for killing the bosses so er...be careful. Let me know.
For those that play Dead
I just want to say thank you for every one that gives this game a go! I wish I could give a hearty message to each individual that leaves a screenshot or a review. Heck even if you didn't like it, it's just good to know someone has played it.

Poorly Drawn Hands and Dead 2 Concepts
Thought I'd share something with you. This is not an announcement for Dead 2 but one can't help but think about what it'd be like. I had an idea for it a while ago and here's some dumb drawings I did in my work book.
What would make Dead 2 different from the first? HANDS! THEY HAVE HANDS NOW.
Something to note. These bosses weren't just drawn up willy nilly. On another page is their move sets and backstories all detailed out. Their designs are out of functionality and what is fun to play against, instead of what looks cool.
In other news we'll be releasing a new game soon! By "soon" I mean, like, no more than a few days from now. We've been working on this one for a while and it'll be free! It's pretty neat. Keep watching.
