Public Beta | 1.1.33b - New crab species & wheelhouse
Hello, first of all - thank you, everyone, for your support and patient. Today we are releasing beta build for Deadliest Catch.
Due to Covid-19 situation, our Q&A team is unable to fully help us in finding new bugs. That is why we decided to update the beta branch and ask you to test it until November 8, 2020.
Here is the changelog:
Version: 1.1.33b
added a functional wheelhouse,
added monitors to the wheelhouse,
added control panel in a wheelhouse,
added new crabs species:
Blue king crab (Paralithodes platypus)
Golden king crab (Lithodes aequispinus).
Scarlet king crab (Lithodes couesi)
Snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio )
added ship engine start/stop,
player can move around a wheelhouse (press Q to leave chair),
fixed a bug with highlighter outside of the ship,
fixed bug with closing letters in a bottle,
can see as many crabs in the pot as there are actually,
improved processing factory window.

Pre-release Update Notes
Hello everyone! It will be short today but I wanted to inform you that we are working on next features from our roadmap and of course about bug fixing including Crew.
New Crab Species
We are preparing 4 new crab species that will be available to catch. 3 of them will give you money, and one will be without value. Right now we are discussing making it possible to make a bait from crabs without value but we didn't decide yet.
So here are the new crab species:
Blue king crab (Paralithodes platypus)
Golden king crab (Lithodes aequispinus).
Scarlet king crab (Lithodes couesi)
Snow crab (Chionoecetes opilio )

Captain / steering room
As many of you are waiting for this feature - I want just to confirm that we are preparing it. Here ar EARLY renders of how it looks. Please note that it will change, we are preparing new 3D monitors models, etc.
You will be able to turn on/off lights, turn on/off ship engine, use dynamic monitors, etc. In the feature, you will be also able to use the radio and receive in-game notification about the ex. storms.
If everything will go fine - the update will be available in the next 1-2 weeks.

Game Update | 1.1.25
Hello everyone, the new developer is working hard on fixing everything that you are reporting and on new features. Taking over projects is never easy and takes some time, but we are on the right track and you should see the first results soon.
For now here is the newest update, which mostly contains bug fixes.

Not this time...but we are working on the long-awaited captain room. You will be able to use monitors and other stuff that real Captain should use.

Game Update | 1.1
Hello everyone! Today we are releasing a long-awaited update for Deadliest Catch: The Game.
Changing the developer is not that easy - the road was bumpy and full of surprises, but we managed to overcome a lot of adversity and today we're releasing Update 1.1 which brings some changes.
New Ship
Since today you can play and control the crew on a new ship - F/V WhiteStar. It's a FREE DLC available for everyone so be sure to assign it to your account: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1278700
Port changes
We have been struggling with this for a long time. Should the player choose ship only once or let them change it just when they want?
We decided to create a new building which is some kind of "garage". You will be able to change ship in the harbour n the building called "Ship change"

Future updates
As you saw we had some delay but I hope that work on the game will speed up and we will be able to deliver many new fixes and features in the coming months. In addition, we would like to rebuild/improve some of the currently existing functions, such as the crew, to make their work more dynamic and natural.

New developer! New features! New Roadmap!
Hello everyone, today I would like to inform that Deadliest Catch: The Game will receive a new developer who will provide further support for the game including debugging (including existing bugs) and adding many new features!
It will not be fast or slow - the speed at which fixes will be made will depend on the amount of work that awaits us all. We would like to provide you with everything as quickly as possible, but we do not want to repeat the mistakes.
If you are curious what awaits you, below you will find a full list of planned features called Roadmap. Please remember that dates may change - some things may be earlier and others later!
Roadmap
MILESTONE 1 (EST 30.06.2020)
Analyze the source or output code and organize it for easier and faster implementation of new features.
Increase the performance of the Game.
Added a 3D F/V Northwestern ship model to the Game in the form of a free DLC.
Adding the ability to select a ship in the port (currently it's only on the campaign creation screen).
Remove any bugs in the game that will be revealed during the milestone development.
MILESTONE 2 (EST 31.07.2020)
Eliminate bugs detected by QA PLW/ULG teams and make appropriate adjustments to allow players to play smoothly.
Adding to the Game a fully functional wheel-house (currently only partially made):
Adding radio and radio support from the port e.g. "WARNING, A storm is coming" or "MEIDEI MEIDEI and coordinates concerning the ship which calls for assistance);
Add interactive monitors to show your current location on the map and water temperature/depth
The ability to walk around the control room (currently the player is closed and glued to the chair),
Addition of other controls.
Improving the system of the randomness of the occurrence and catch of crabs, so that the player despite the use of the best baits does not always catch the same amount of crabs, ie: Crabs occur randomly on the map relative to environmental parameters:
Water temperature,
Depth,
Type of substrate.
Remove any bugs in the game that will be revealed during the milestone development.

Improving crew performance:
Animations,
The smoothness of tasks performed,
Added the possibility of switching off the engine in the boat.
Adding to the Game other animals that appear randomly in the environment, i.e.: Whales, orcas, seagulls, albatross or seals.
Adding to the Game, fish or other animals that:
can be caught in cages,
can be converted into the bait,
may be thrown overboard.
Remove any bugs in the game that will be revealed during the milestone development.
Adding ship damage to the Game:
the possibility of the ship overturning during a storm,
the possibility of entering the shallows,
the possibility of sinking the ship by hitting another ship/iceberg.
MILESTONE 4 (EST 30.09.2020)
Adding the ability to walk around the port and visit all the points i.e. shop, office, processing,
bar. The player can get off the ship himself and enter it .
Adding objects at sea in the form of icebergs, shallows (shallows) and coastline visible during
swimming, to which the player can sail.
Remove any bugs in the game that will be revealed during the milestone development.
Addition of competition ships based on the ship models currently available in the game:
Ships are to be visible by the player while swimming,
Ships throw their buoys and cages into the sea,
The player can interact with ships, i.e.:
damage, sinking the ship;
pulling out not your buoys/pots (theft = penalty);
towing the damaged vessel.
