Tower Defense Challenge!

Hello, Death Warriors!

In honor of the Steam Tower Defense sale, we'd like to invite you to participate in a little challenge. We've made a special map in the spirit of Tower Defense, on which you will survive against hordes of enemies. On this map you will not be able to build farms, but you can get gold from defeated enemies.

  • You'll receive points based on how long you can survive. The best players will end up in the leaderboard.
  • The top 3 leaders will get the Steam keys to the next DLC - Demon Campaign for Death Crown as soon as it comes out!
  • Challenge will continue until the end of the sale (May 4), the winners will be announced the next day!


If you like this mode, maybe we'll leave it in the game, or move some of its ideas to the main mode!

New Bot AI, Death Campaign Update and something else

Hello Death Warriors!

Today we have prepared for you several innovations.

First of all, I want to tell you that we threw our bot into a pit with snakes and he got out very angry from there. Now he is not so stupid and will be able to avenge you for all his defeats. The bot has become less susceptible to exploits. Yes, yes, now you can no longer force the bot to build towers at the beginning of the party and all that.

One of the innovations is that you have to break ALL the enemy Citadels to win. This fundamentally changes the gameplay of some missions.

We also added some of the mechanics of the Human Campaign to the original Death Campaign.

In connection with all these changes, we did a little rebalance of the original Death Campaign. We also tried to make a more adequate complexity curve. It is important to understand that the balance is not final and we will still work on a new balance.

Unfortunately, we did not have much time to redo the Domination mission, but we are going to do this soon. Once we are done with this, we will begin season 3 in Domination.

We also prepared a small surprise for you - a small demo of the new campaign!

Warriors Update

Hello Death Warriors!

Today's update changes the gameplay a bit, and also fixes some bugs.


  • Your warriors no longer need to die if they have no purpose.
    We changed the behavior of warriors leaving the barracks/crypt. Now, if the barracks/crypt does not have a suitable target for an attack, then the warriors just stop and wait for further instructions. New warriors do not appear. As soon as the barracks/crypt has a target, the warriors begin to move towards it. If you simply switch the soldiers from one target to another, then already released soldiers will run to the original goal, as it was before.


  • Now warriors move a little more randomly, rather than running clearly along the line.

  • A bug was fixed when, after loading a campaign, or retreating on a campaign map, a character returned to an incorrect mission.

  • Fixed a rare bug that breaks save after retreating in practice mode.

New Practice Mode and Trading Cards!

Hello Death Warriors!

I am very glad to tell you that Death Crown passed Valve's verification and we got Trading Cards! Now you have access to emoticons, badges and profile backgrounds! In addition to Trading Cards, Death Crown is now displayed on your profile and now you can show off your achievements in Death Crown to your friends.

And so that you have a reason to return to the game to get Trading Cards, we updated the Practice mode! Now, in Practice mode, all maps available in the game are available to you, and you can choose any map, and you can also choose a race (Human or Undead)!

Do not be alarmed by the disappearance of the Versus mode from the main menu, just Versus mode has become part of the Practice mode, which seemed more logical to us.

Free DLC - Human Campaign

Hello, Death Warriors!

Today, we are finally happy to present you our first full-fledged DLC - Era of Human!
Era of Human is a prequel that takes place 100 years before the original campaign. You have to learn the history of the King, cleanse the primal lands of evil and unite humanity.



The action of the new campaign will unfold on a new map. The Primal Islands is the cradle of the first people. Mankind, torn by internecine wars, does not notice the growing darkness. The Deadlord, commanding the hordes of the undead, destroys human settlements one by one and poisons the earth.

Cleansing the Primal Islands from corruption, you will encounter new evil bosses: the All-Seeing Tree, the Black Sphere, the All-Devouring Worm, and the Dead Citadel.



20 new missions are waiting for you! Passing each new mission is graphically presented on the global map. The land cleared of spoilage will be filled with new settlements.

Fighting the Deadlord, you can take advantage of the new strategic opportunities of the landscape. On the battlefields you will encounter such landscapes as Forests, Swamps, Hills, Wheat Fields, Villages and Dead Lands. Each of them has special properties.




  • Buildings cannot be built on the landscape with the Forest, but warriors can pass through the forest.

  • Building on Swamp landscapes will cost you more.

  • A landscape with Wheat Fields will bring additional income if you build a farm on it.

  • The villagers will help you resist the undead, so building on this landscape will be cheaper. Also, residents will provide you with additional warriors, and if you build a Barracks, the Barracks will produce warriors more often.

  • Buildings on the hills will have extra durability.

  • All these features work only for Humans. Undeads troops turn all landscapes into Dead Lands. For Humans, building on a landscape with Dead Lands is more expensive. For Undead, building on Dead Land is cheaper.




In addition to the new campaign, in this update we have added some tips and explanations to the original campaign. Now that you have improved your Citadel, you will know what exactly you have improved. New tips will tell you about such “hidden” features of the game, like demolition of your buildings, and an indication of the custom path for your warriors. The same tips will await you in the new campaign to explain the effect of landscape features.

We also fixed many minor bugs, and probably made a bunch of new ones.

Thanks to our friend ligh tn ing and his studio CKZ, we got a cutscenes sound acting, and a couple of new battle tracks for this update. By the way, all the music and sounds in the game is also their work.

Today I would like to share with you some news about the upcoming update for Death Crown!

Firstly, in the upcoming update, a new campaign awaits you. It will be a prequel, where you have to play for the King of people and unite human lands and fight against the terrible Dead Lord. The action will take place on the islands on which the original campaign ended, but 100 years before them.



In addition to new missions and bosses, we plan to rebalance the races. Undeads and Humans will differ not only in appearance, as it was before, but also in balance, and even by some mechanics!


Another innovation is the various landscapes that will affect your buildings. For example, making a building on a hill will increase its health, and making a building on a swamp will cost you more. Each race will have their own bonuses from different landscapes.


If everything is cool, then the update will be available at the end of autumn. Details of the new features will be available closer to release.



Also, you may have noticed that Valve added Remote Play Together to Steam and it works with Death Crown too! You can play with your friend if he has a gamepad. Your friend doesn’t even have to buy a game for this. Just invite him, launch the desired mode, and when the game asks to press the button for the second game, your friend should press something on his gamepad. At the moment, the Remote Play Together function does not work brilliantly, but it's still a good opportunity to enjoy the game with friends.

New in Death Crown — Domination mode!

Today I want to present you our new mode for the game - Domination!
In this mode, 30 new missions will be available to you.

Missions are arranged in increasing order of difficulty. 10th, 20th and 30th - missions with bosses. For killing bosses, your Citadel will improve, as in the campaign.

Passing missions you will receive black stones, as in a campaign. Black stones can be spent on the enhancement of the buildings, as in a campaign.

You will have three lives to complete all the missions. If you lose three times, then you have to start from the beginning.

But that's not all! For each completed mission you will receive scores. Scores will be awarded according to several criteria:


  • Mission time
  • The number of buildings destroyed by you
  • The number of buildings you built
  • The balance of gold at the end of the mission


Scores for completing the mission will be multiplied by the progress rate. It means that for each next mission you will receive more than for the previous one. Then these scores will be added to the rest of the scores.

After completing 30 missions, or after three defeats, all your scores will be entered in the Steam leaderboard.

New achievements will be added for completing 10th, 20th and 30th missions.

I also want to warn you that the mode is not designed for beginners, and it is a real challenge. Be careful!

We also make a new balance of the Towers. Towers shoot more than once 12 seconds, as it was before. The Towers now fire once every 6 seconds. Improving the Towers reduces their cooldown by 1 second per level.


Also, we finally added a notification that your Citadel has been improved after defeating the boss in the campaign.
