Escape the webs of destiny spun by the Spider Priestess from the northern tribes, where she has woven her domain of arachnids throughout the caverns of death. Alternate Art – Force Multiplier (A.T.A.C.R)

Congratulations to Majstor, the top Champion of the world! After numerous hard-fought battles, we celebrate all players who joined the Grand Tournament with an alternate art card of Force Multiplier, the trophy card our champion has chosen. All contenders will receive a code through Discord to unlock this special prize in-game.

New Matchmaking Settings

New matchmaking options are now available in the options menu, allowing players to control the type of queue they wish to enter for PVP. These settings will override existing conditions and matchmaking rules.

Clans Feature

Clans are back! After this update, all players can create their own clans and gather members into their team. Players can also leave their current clan and join another one if they choose. All controls will remain accessible within the clan leaderboard tab from the top bar.

Battle Stage Customization

A new feature allows players to customize the appearance of the battle stage during combat. Over 10 backgrounds from across the game have been added to the library of selectable battle stages, including some new ones as a special treat.

Card Balancing

Lee – Like the Wind and Like the Wind X
The “Like the Wind” mechanic enhances Lee’s flexibility for combos, providing both resources and driver options. However, these benefits weren't always worth the slot in the deck compared to other cards. To make this card more special and enable its use, the action point cost has been removed:
• Action Point Cost: 1 > 0

Taj – Ethereal Projection and Ethereal Projection X
This powerful card in Taj’s kit gains the most benefits when running a 3-worship deck, translating into significant damage. To balance this, we are reducing the base attack damage by 1:

Card Cache
Get ready for new combos to the most familiar faces in Death or Glory! We are releasing a card cache of 10 exciting new cards for the 10 champions released across early access. Gain access to new combos from a variety of new mechanics ranging from Lee’s transforming Upper and Lower strike and Tori’s permanent Blessings. Every one of these new cards will also come with their upgraded X versions, introducing a new dimension to experiment for the best choices in your deck.

How do we unlock the cards?
All 20 new cards (normal and upgraded) will be available immediately after the card cache is acquired without the need to grind levels and challenges.

How much will it cost?
Card Caches will cost 150 Diamonds. Founders will automatically unlock access to the Card Cache.

What will happen if I don’t have all the champions yet?
Even if you don’t currently own a certain champion, you will still unlock it in your collection and be playable immediately after you unlock the champion.





Infinite Rank
New visuals and UI elements have been added to Infinite Rank, the top rank for champions in Death or Glory. Fight to the top to gain the most scores in Dueling mode to become the best at what you do.

We are making changes to the perpetual ability of Mercy X due to the introduction of Permenant Blessings.

Removed Card Text : If you have a Blessing, consume it, this attack becomes Perpetual and you are granted Forcefield until the end of turn.

Character Balancing

Roxxor the Giant
Roxxor falls behind other champions in his diversity of playstyles with a narrow range of playable upgraded cards. As one of the earlier characters which we designed upgraded cards for, we admittedly started off rather conservatively with the power levels of his cards that can change up the pacing of his strategies.

Spine Pull X
This grapple was designed as the fastest but weakest one out of Roxxor’s kit. But as an upgraded card with a high rate of failure, it doesn’t make the cut unless it has more of a set up potential to boost other cards. The added Momentum can make Roxxor’s playstyle faster as it is only for a single action point opening up a more aggressive rate of play.

Monster Pummel X
This is a small but rather important stat buff as usually champions will have access to blocks with a value of 7. This buff makes Monster pummel essentially a 50% health check where as long as his set up cards has chipped away half or he plays pummel twice, it will be a sure kill.

Head Twist X
Momentum is decreased to make the card more playable earlier into the game as choke is a damage mechanic that is stronger the faster it is played.

Trunk Whack and Trunk Whack X
Trunk Whack is an interesting reaction card where it is not designed as your typical answer to your opponents, but instead it is a punishment for forgetting that it exists. The nature of Trunk Whack is to be a sabotaging card where the damage it can deal could potentially be game winning with one big strike. This attribute was probably too hidden with a rather generic damage value so we increased the damage and replaced determined in the upgrade version with a damage boost that can further this mechanic to bigger extremes.

Character Balancing
Redeye the Werewolf
Redeye has been at the top end of the meta for a long time now and the proprietor of the aggressive pacing that the meta needs to answer in order to stay competitive. Redeye by design is a boom or bust character where he either wins quickly or struggles to recover from bad turns. We’re toning down Howl to limit the amount of damage that can be dished out in a turn and making it easier for the opponent to regain control through reactions to stop the rampaging werewolf.

Ardelean the Vampire
We are making several more changes to Ardelean in this balance patch to limit the amount of flexibility his deck has access to. From consistent draws to powerful blood feast effects, the combination creates a very stable experience with the vampire where as long as he gets his resources going, he quickly snowballs to become unstoppable in both offensive and defensive aspects. We are targeting these 3 cards to limit the snowball effect on good turns when he has all the pieces at once.

We are changing the effect of this card because of the changes to LifeSteal and Fortune Reversal not being affected by the bonuses and limitations of Healing effects. As Ardelean already has many survival options, we opted to change the effect to an offensive tool to help Ardelean land attacks and blood feast generators more reliably.

Lifesteal and Fortune Reversal clarifications
We have updated the keyword text of these two mechanics to clear up confusions and change their interactions with Heal enhancers and limiters. These two mechanics will not be affected by bonus heal effects moving forward nor will they be affected by mechanics that will prohibit them as they are considered a Steal and Recovery. We will be designing and balancing cards under this philosophy moving forward when Ardelean and other champions receive changes.

Life Steal : At the end of turn, take X lives from your opponent
Fortune Reversal : You will temporarily lose 5(X) lives to draw X cards. For X turns, you will recover 5 lives at the end of turn.

  • Fixed a bug that causes the splash art in the character selection screen to not reflect the selected skin

  • Fixed a bug that disables the flashing function when a missile is intercepted with an attack with daze

Character Balancing


Ardelean the Vampire
The launch of the dark lord has been an amazing one. Learning from our previous mistakes, we’ve carefully designed the interactions of Blood Feast and Blood Rush to create a new Monster experience. Due to the mechanic, Ardelean is atypical in his playstyle where he has to first collect blood then choose what abilities to upgrade with strategic card ordering. With a high ceiling and potential, we felt we had made certain elements of his set up a bit too easy. The following changes will lower the floor of Ardelean to balance out his potential compared to other champions.

Vampiric Familiar and Vampyric Familiar X
Unleashed cards are non-interactable for the opponent and generally balanced as a turn-by-turn win condition where the benefits don’t typically spread to subsequent turns. However, the almost inevitable lifesteal this card applies for just 2 blood feast, essentially sets up Ardelean for the whole game. We are adding in an additional condition for lifesteal to activate to require Ardelean to make more daring and bold plays to set up.

Vampyric Familiars
New card text : If you have already dealt damage this turn and you have Blood Feast, consume it and you are granted Lifesteal(1) and Cure.
Vampyric Familiars X
New card text : If you have already dealt damage this turn and you have Blood Feast, consume it and you Heal 5 lives, granted Lifesteal(1) and Cure.

Ulterior Motive X
Similarly, we felt that a powerful mechanic such as lifesteal should be conditional and require timing to play out.

New card text : If neither you nor your opponent has any cards in play, attack speed is increased by 2 and you are granted Lifesteal(1).

Breathless Embrace and Breathless Embrace X
We’re tuning down the damage of this card to make it easier to stop and reducing the base amount of blood feast that can be gained.

Crimson Mist
Dodge is the best type of reaction in game and normally its speed value is the major inhibiting factor of it. We’re removing the second tier of speed buff to limit its effectiveness and all rounded capabilities.

Removed card text : If you have Blood Feast(3), consume it and your reaction speed is increased by 2 instead.

Tori the Paladin
Some small changes across cards to balance out the card choice in decks.

Lee the Dragon Master
Lee’s only interrupt card is on Dragon Pounce, which is a 2 action point card, making it hard to be effective against spells. We’re adding interrupt to one more card in Lee’s arsenal.

We’ve restructured the card text of this card to make it more playable by making the card more powerful at base.

Although niche, when used properly these cards are extremely powerful and perhaps too punishing to opponent’s that relies on smaller cards to set up.

Crystal the Ice Faerie

To make this card more flexible, we are decreasing the Mana requirement for a little damage to allow aggressive Crystal playstyles to be able to start doing damage earlier.

Enryu the Gargantusaur
Feral Defienace and Feral Defiance X
Feral Defiance is defined by it’s strong defences capabilities but has been often overlooked due to it’s health restriction. This has made it a dead card in many decks when it is drawn early on. We have added in a Level Up mechanic to the card so it can get stronger and stronger when drawn early on, making it almost the ultimate reaction card in the late game.

Team Up, Duel, Win!

Greetings Champions

We are very excited for the launch next week and we want to share with you the cool events that will be happening at launch!


Clan Wars
Team up with your favourite creators by joining their clans to rise to the top. During the 24th of September to the 10th of October, every point you score in duelling mode will count to the score of your clan. Bonuses from win streaks and protection from score shields will also be in effect throughout the event. All players will earn an exclusive commemorative card back when they join a clan and the top 3 clans will be gifted a bronze, silver or gold card back respectively.



But it doesn’t end there, the winning clan will be choosing their favourite champion to design a new skin and alternate art! We will be working closely with the winning clan leader to bring to life their designs and dreams of what their ideas of a perfect champion is. We can’t wait to start working on the new skin and you will be the one to decide.
