Termination of Early Access, and more

Hello, PsychoFlux Entertainment here, and we hereby inform you that the Early Access period for Deep Dark Dungeon has officially ended.

However the development of this game is not complete yet, we just thought the Early Access to the game was too long that it was practically meaningless. So we decided to end Early Access for now and continue the update. Sorry for the confusion.

In the meantime, the developer was in a difficult situation to proceed with the development because he was engaged in his work for livelihood. Here's the developer's message to everyone:


Hi, I'm Yurikiti, developer of GlassCats.

Basically, Deep Dark Dungeon was being developed by two people, including me. However our another member had to leave to study abroad. It was not easy to continue developing on my own, and I couldn't afford to focus on the game anymore for couple of reasons. So I got a new job. That's why we have hardly been involved in development for a while.

I sincerely apologize for for the discontinued development in the meantime. But now I'm in much better situation since I got a new job, so I think it's time to return to development. I know it's late, but if you allow us a little more time I will improve the game in a better way.

I'm sorry.


On the other hand, it is entirely our fault that we have hardly communicated with you, the players. We promise that we will also improve our customer services, and do our best to assist the developer.

Please post your suggestions on our Steam Community Discussions, then we will apply them as much as possible.

Once again we apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you very much.

Features

Bug Fix


  • Summoning Enemies now actually summons enemies when they perform the action.
  • Fixed the error of pause menu not working, when exiting key settings using the Esc key.
  • Fixed some broken text.

Changes


  • Improved control reaction speed.
    • Character stops more quickly when you release the stick.
    • The character always moves at full speed regardless of the stick tilt.

  • We've made a new default key setting. But for those who have their own, customized key setting, you must restore the key setting back to default to try the new one. To restore to default key setting, look for the "reset to default" button in key binding preferences.
  • Nerfed Quarterstaff.


Bug Fix


  • Fixed the door that wouldn't open even after wiping out all the enemies on floor 2.
  • Fixed the quarterstaff evading animation that was moving characters in the wrong direction.
  • Fixed how dodging while walking moved the character further.

Features


  • Key Rebinding: You can change keys in the game at any time in Preferences.


Changes


  • Attacks using Quarterstaff is now faster.
    • The quicker you hit the Combo attack button, the faster the attack.
    • You can move during finishing a Combo attack motion.
    • Combo Attack 1 and 2 are weaker, and 3 are slightly stronger.
    • Pre-attack delay of Charge attack is reduced, but charging time is increased.

  • The movement speed of the player character is increased by 12.5%.
  • There are more skeletons on the first floor. Instead, the skeleton's health decreased by 33%.
  • On the second floor, the number of goblins spawned per Igloo is limited.
    • Bomb goblins are spawned up to 2.
    • Snitch goblins are spawned up to 1.

  • Bomb Goblins throw less bombs after the first bomb. Instead, the bomb deals 33% more damage.
  • On the third floor, Lizardmen's health decreased. Instead, there is more lizard man warriors. (the green ones)
  • The Gold flash before it disappears.


Bug Fix

Key binding feature is under development.

We're currently in the process of developing The Key Binding feature. If you're feeling uncomfortable with our present key layouts, please feel free to participate in the beta program and preview the new features.



To participate in the beta program, use the BETAS tab in the game properties window. The beta key is ineedkeyrebind. If you can not find "keybinding" in the drop-down after you enter your beta key, restart your Steam Client.

It's still under development, so it doesn't look good and you'll probably find new bugs.:dddcrying: Let us know on Steam discussion page!
