New Demo for Deep Dark Forest – Available During Chinese New Year Sale!
Hi everyone!
After a long development cycle, numerous adjustments to the game systems, and further refinement of gameplay, we are excited to announce that Deep Dark Forest will be available for a brand new demo during this year’s Steam Chinese New Year Sale event!
Throughout this development phase, we've made various optimizations based on player feedback from previous testing sessions. We’ve introduced a range of exciting new mechanics: a new Council system, a revamped reveal-and-hide mechanic, interactions with primitive civilizations, the Ark mechanism, and a more strategic endgame scoring system. These additions aim to offer a more engaging and dynamic gameplay experience. The new demo is now available, and we welcome you to try it!
Lastly, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you for your continued attention and support. Here's a little sneak peek: the full release is currently in its final stages of testing and is expected to launch sometime in Q1-Q2 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!

Grow your civilization in space, explore the unknown, and become the last surviving civilization in the survival-of-the-fittest universe of the "Dark Forest."
We originally drew inspiration for "Deep Dark Forest" from the "Dark Forest" theory in the novel "The Three-Body Problem." Throughout development, we aimed to enhance gameplay, evolving it into a strategy game where space civilizations battle each other. The release has faced some delays over the past few years due to various reasons, but we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Release information will be confirmed and announced soon, so stay tuned!
