Introducing "Endless Mode" in Deep Sixed 1.20

Hello everybody,

Two months have passed since the release of Deep Sixed, and during that time we have released many small updates with bugfixes, usability improvements and new features.
With the latest update (1.20) we bring you a new game mode that many people have requested. The "Endless Challenge" mode is a game without the main story line and without an ending. The gameplay is stripped to the basics and there are no story missions or cut-scenes. You explore the nebula, complete missions, upgrade your ship and try to survive as long as possible while the game gets increasingly harder.
This mode is for experienced players only - those who want a real challenge. It doesn't end until you die, and when the game is over you get a score based on the reputation points you have earned in your playthrough.

We hope you like the new game mode and all the other little improvements we have added. Check this forum topic for a detailed list of changes.

Thanks again for all your support and the amazing feedback!

Deep Sixed 1.10

Hi everybody,
we have been working hard to improve the game and fix all the glitches, typos, bugs and inconsistencies you have reported. Your feedback has been amazing and we're delighted that you enjoy Deep Sixed and that our game is getting so much love from players.

We've uploaded many updates over the last few days and we're now at version 1.10. Here are some of the most important fixes and changes since the release:

  • Some of the early "find and retrieve" and "find and kill" missions have been re-balanced to be less frustrating.

  • Some of the maintenance tasks have been rebalanced.

  • Permadeath is now disabled in Easy Mode. That means you can continue from the last save point when you die.

  • Many small glitches and a few serious bugs have been fixed.

  • Problems with the Mac version have been fixed.

These days it's hard to get noticed among the dozens of games that are released on Steam every day - but the overwhelmingly positive feedback we're getting keeps us motivated.
If you enjoy Deeps Sixed, please consider leaving us a review on Steam and help us spread the word.

Mac issues

Hello everybody!
First of all, thank you all for the amazing feedback we got! Many of you seem to enjoy the game a lot, and we couldn't be happier about that.
Keep the feedback coming, tell us what you like and what you don't like - and if you find any bugs, please report them so we can resolve these issues quickly.

Some people have reported problems with the native Mac version crashing or freezing during startup - this has never happened during our beta test, so we're currently trying to figure out what is causing this behaviour, and why it doesn't happen on Linux or Windows. Stay tuned, we'll do our best to fix it as quickly as possible.

UPDATE: The Mac issues should be fixed in the latest version.

Deep Sixed Release Day Is Here!

Phew, the game is finally released! Now everyone can experience the dystopian space survival nightmare that we have unleashed upon the cosmos.

Thanks to you all for your patience, we'll be hanging around the community as much as we can to answer any questions, or comments, suggestions etc.

In the meantime, have fun!

Deep Sixed NEW EARLY RELEASE DATE!

Usually, when a developer updates their fans about a game's release date, it's to deliver bad news. This isn't that kind of announcement.

You guys have given us all so much momentum these past few weeks, and the feedback we've received has been uplifting. We want you all to finally be able to play this game, and to be honest...we just can't wait anymore! So we've bumped our release date by a couple weeks to February 12th. We're looking forward to seeing your adventures as you explore the mysteries of the MG251 nebula. Good hunting!

Deep Sixed Release Date Set

We're excited to announce that Deep Sixed will be in your hands in just nine weeks. Our release date is set for February 27th, 2018!

We're really excited to be at this point. If you're just joining us now on this journey, Deep Sixed is a truly one-of-a-kind space survival game that will keep you glued to your heads-up-display as you try to survive mapping deep a mysterious nebula. While other games might have you play the role of the stalwart space-captain righting the injustices of the universe, Deep Sixed is a love-letter to the Scotty’s, Geordi’s and O’Brien’s who are out there with just a space-wrench and a roll of duct tape trying to keep the radiation scrubber from falling apart.
