DeepLands

Going to Full Release soon, and update about updates...

Please read this before you buy DeepLands or if you have already bought it!

DeepLands is the first game that I have ever made, I started working on it when I was fifteen years old. While I was making this game I was really just starting to discover how game design worked and I didn’t have a clear vision of what the core mechanics would be, or what type of game it would become, I just made some levels in my own fictional world named Aris and added the mechanics way later on. I have made multiple updates, and fixed a lot of bugs, but because my coding and game making from back in the day is now so unclear to read and hard, to basically impossible to work with I have decided to go from early access to full release, and do very minimal updates from time to time. It is now 2020, I am almost nineteen, and I fear that any updates I will make to the game will only result in more bugs and ultimately in a endless amount of fixing, to the point where I basically have to remake the entire game, this means that most bugs currently in the game will likely remain, though from the feedback that I have had, I hear that it is still definitely playable at this stage. Please keep this in mind before you buy DeepLands, I still like to play it myself, even though it is not the best game out there, obviously, and I believe that you can certainly still enjoy playing this game.

Thank you to all those that have already played DeepLands, I hope you enjoyed it, and to all those that will buy it I also hope you enjoy it and I thank you as well!

Update 1.2 is out now, and news on future updates.

Update 1.2 is the first big update for the game.
In 1.2 all reported bugs are fixed as well as bugs found in live streams and Youtube videos.

In 1.2 the first chapter "Chapter one The New House" has received a lot of polishing and newly added instructions making Chapter one more of an introductory level as originally planned. And making it more understandable.

Chapter Two has also received changes. It now has more instructions and dialogue "with your little helper", to get more of an understanding of what is suppose to happen and why you should take the dwarf gold and why you can use certain mushrooms to heal your self etc. this update also removes most of the invisible walls when running away from the first enemy, adding a new option to escape from the enemy. The first enemy has also received a couple of changes, as it can now sprint after you ( and walk). His attack is now also more dynamic.

Wierd collision or invisible wall problems caused the player to sometimes get stuck in the middle of a path or on a small edge. all the discovered collision problems have been fixed.

Player mechanics have now had their first changes and will receive more in the next update.

More animations for NPC's have been added as well as for "the wife character". the main character will receive more animations as soon as possible.

Gold disappearing when loading a new level has been fixed.

Other levels that have been changed are:
*Chapter three the lonely caves
*Chapter four Dwarfs!
*Chapter five Troll land

Updates in the near future

Future updates will include:
*making the story clearer and more understandable
*battle mechanics. You will be taught how to fight by the dwarfs in chapter eight "giants of the deep" and from this level on the battle mechanics will be featured until the end of the game.
*More bug fixes ( if more bugs get discovered, and surely the will ).
*A system making it a possibility to upgrade your: stamina, health, hunger, With training and potions from the dwarfs, for gold making the gold more useful.
*More animations for NPC's as well as for the player.
*Better AI.
*More levels and chapters.
*And probably many more things, including possible requests from players.

Thank you for reading through this update on alpha version 1.2
