New Ways of Moving: Gamepad support, Lots of new gun upgrades, OST, Concept art

I've been hard at work on the game and wanted to share some updates with you:

  • Integrated a dash ability; use the shift key.
  • Added a super jump feature, activated by pressing down.
  • Implemented gamepad support.
  • You can now adjust configurable controls to fit your play style.
  • Introduced a significant number of gun upgrades, roughly between 32 and 48. They alter the gameplay considerably.
  • Upgrades have transitioned to deitycoin instead of player level.
  • I've also shared some concept art to give insights into my design journey.
  • A new OST is ready, and it's available for a free download.

Your feedback helps me refine and improve. Thanks for being on this journey with me. I think I added alot more lol.

Finished the 8 guardians and new saving features

i'm excited to announce that all eight guardians have now been fully developed. During playtests, I noticed that these guardian fights are a bit challenging, occasionally proving even tougher than some of the starter bosses. While I want to maintain a level of difficulty to keep the game engaging, it's crucial that the challenge is balanced and fair. So, I'm currently refining and balancing these guardians to ensure they provide a tough, yet enjoyable challenge for you.

More excitingly, I'm thrilled to introduce a new feature in the game - stackable damage upgrades. This mechanic allows you to voluntarily reset your gun's level for a permanent increase in damage. This not only adds a new dimension to the gameplay but also encourages strategic thinking about whether or not to lose your progress for a perm upgrade. The more you choose this option, the more powerful your attacks become, albeit at the expense of your current gun level. I'm eager to see how you'll utilize this feature in your gameplay strategy and the new depth it will bring.

Each new boss creates a very different scenario.

New guardians and new weapon upgrade

I have added in the final guardian of the 8 as well as you can upgrade your gun for a perm damage upgrade. As well as this saves now apply when you die.

New Stages, New Filter Options, Save / Loading Fixed

Hell everyone, sorry for the delay in updates. I've had some emotional issues I had to work through that I succeeded in overcoming as well as freelance work that took up my time.

I've added the following content into the game...

  • New boss called the devils devourer which features new scenes and interactable content.
  • New Arena Mode that has multiple rounds of waves to fight in the later game.
  • Players can now trigger the filter on and off, and are given a choice at the start of the game.
  • Audio can now be turned up and down at the start of the game.
  • Stage Select that shows the new character portraits of whats to come. In the future I hope to have all of the stages done. For now its just the one boss: Devil Devourer.
  • Bosses no longer get stuck in side of the screen.

As always if you have any ideas on what to add let me know. I have added in many features that were suggested as well as fixed the bugs.

Audio Settings, Ammo Indicator, Better Gun Stats: Minor Quality of Lifes

The game now has an indicator that tells you how much ammo you have, and how long until you reload.

You can now change the audio settings in the main menu setting.

There is now a stage select at the end of the game that goes no where, but foreshadows the new future areas / bosses you will fight.

Guns now have more descriptive information about what they do as well as the stats now present actual numbers instead of word descriptions.
