Hotfix 1.02 🛠️
🏗️ Good day to you, Constructors
A few days ago we published the very first Hotfix to the game, and we’re keeping up the momentum! 🤓 Based on your feedback, we managed to prepare another update in which we are improving several important gameplay elements.
A word about controls and camera options
However, before we dive into the Hotfix Notes, we want to assure you that we’ve heard your thoughts on control and camera operation issues loud and clear. We are currently carefully analyzing your feedback and collecting every bit of useful information in order to plan and implement appropriate changes 👷♂️
Today's Hotfix is the first step to improve these aspects and make the game even more intuitive and enjoyable. That is why it's full of changes developed based on your requests. We really hope that you will like all the novelties we have prepared for you!
If you would like to support us in our mission to further improve D&B3, please share your suggestions and ideas on our Discord server, or simply describe your experiences in the comments of this entry. Any input will be greatly appreciated! And now...
Hotfix 1.02 Notes:
• Adjustments to the mini-excavator arm rotation speed to make them more precise
• The new 3rd person camera system: - Camera now always turns along with the vehicle - Fixed jittering - Camera no longer goes below ground level - Smoother zoom operation - When in operator mode, each attachment has its own camera focus points - Camera Y axis is no longer inverted by default (requires setting change in the Main Menu) - Camera is now generally more responsive and intuitive
• When entering the vehicle, the position of the 1st and 3rd person cameras and the driving mode are reset
• The mini-excavator and excavator grappler can now be used to demolish less durable kinds of materials
• Changed default key bindings in excavators, the up arrow now raises the arm (requires setting change in the Main Menu - set default)
• Improvements to the controls options: - when in options, you will see options of the last used controller - when in escape-menu, you will see options of the vehicle currently in use - new shortcuts for better navigation - new option to assign different inputs to positive and negative axis poles (for ex. right pedal to move forward and left pedal to move backward)
• Hand tools now meet the requirements of assets assigned to a mission before starting it; a section with recommended tools has been added to the mission details window
• Changes to the missions: - Dig Out Old Wires - the number of cables has been reduced, the ground is now deeper and easier to dig, the cables are now easier to grip - Demolish a Single Wall - removal of the penalty for damaging furniture, the protective board removed
• Fixed low FPS issue (due to too many messages) when in the laptop screen
• Minor fixes to the physics (collisions between broken fragments, fragments sinking into the ground)
What's next? 😉
As you can see, Hotfix 1.02 introduces many important changes, but our work is still in progress. In subsequent updates, we have planned to implement improvements such as the option to import additional assets after starting a mission, resetting the player character, and further extensions to the keyboard binding option. More info on this topic coming soon!

Demolisher's Handbook #4 - Controls and Camera Options 🕹️
🏗️ Hello there, constructors
Welcome to the fourth (and last pre-release!) part of our new series, in which we will tell you all about the most interesting, engaging and surprising features of Demolish & Build 3. You can treat "Demolisher's Handbook" as an introduction to some of the game's mechanics, as well as a helpful guide full of tips and tricks.
Today, we’ll provide detailed answers to your questions regarding the controls and camera options that you will be able to use during your work. Good visibility, precise control of machines and using all possible maneuvers may prove to be crucial, so put on your hard hats and take notes, builders! You're about to learn some really important skills...
Authentic controls based on real machines 👷
The moment you sit at the controls of an excavator, bulldozer or other vehicle, you will immediately notice a set of levers, pedals and buttons in front of you. Make no mistake - each of them actually serves a purpose and is vital to your future work! 🧐
Every control element you'll handle in the cockpit of powerful machines is modeled after the realistic, authentic systems found in their real-life counterparts. Naturally, in order to successfully perform assigned tasks, you must understand and master them all. And although at first glance the whole thing may seem a bit tricky, we are sure you will become proficient in using all the options in no time!
Machines and their attachments can be maneuvered in various planes and angles, giving you access to even the most hard-to-reach areas. Each of the vehicle's tracks can be operated independently of the other ↪️ The excavator arm or bulldozer boom can be freely raised, lowered and rotated, and the attachments themselves can be replaced with others, so it's entirely up to you to choose the right tool for a given task.
As you can see, the possibilities are almost endless, especially since the mission scenario in no way suggests ready-made solutions, but only assumes a goal that you must achieve. We can't wait to see if you decide to utilize brute force, exact precision, or some other method! 😁
Accurate control like never before 📐
All the features mentioned above ensure highly accurate and precise control over every part of the vehicle you operate. But hey, there is more! Were you aware that you can easily change the camera angle from inside the cabin to an adjustable outside perspective? To do so, simply use the "C" key!
You can also center the view on the attachment mounted to your machine, allowing for even more precise operation. In such a scenario, the camera will follow the arm of your machine and its attachment, for example a saw or bucket. This perspective provides even better control and view of what is happening while performing crucial activities 👀
Did we mention that some attachments have a built-in camera that will display the image on the screen in your machine's cockpit? Yeah... camera options are a powerful tool - once you master them, no job will be beyond your reach!
Set the controls the way you see fit 🕹️
Another good news is that you can freely assign any function (meaning each lever, pedal, button, etc.) to the keys of your choice. The same applies to all types of controllers and joysticks. All elements can therefore be controlled separately via buttons you assign. How cool is that? 🤩
Keybinding is one thing, but your options don't end there. During your adventure in Demolish & Build 3, you can configure any number of controllers, pads, steering wheels, customized handles and other devices, which means you can create various combinations and sets that best suit your needs. Two joysticks and steering wheel pedals? Sure! Pad knobs and keyboard? You got it! There is only one rule - as long as they are recognized by the Windows operating system, you are good to go!
Although it may seem like a trick at first, this solution offers a lot of possibilities and ensures authentic, deep immersion. We encourage you to explore all the options and types of controls until you discover your favorite setup. There's a lot of work ahead of you, so it's important that controlling the machines is clear and simply fun!
Coming in just 8 days 🥳
The big countdown will begin soon, as there are only 8️⃣ days left until Sep 11. It's like you can already catch the distant rumble of engines and the thud of crumbling walls... the hype is on! As always, we remain at your disposal on our Discord server, Social Media channels and Steam Discussions, so take a moment to drop by!
Be sure to let us know your opinions and suggestions regarding the Controls and Camera systems 💭 Your voices are always very appreciated, as thanks to them, we can better understand your expectations and hopes. Thank you everyone for your continued support and enthusiasm. We will see you in the next entry!

Demolisher's Handbook #3 - Digging and Soil 🕳️👷
🏗️ Hello there, constructors
Welcome to the third part of our new series, in which we will tell you all about the most interesting, engaging and surprising features of Demolish & Build 3. You can treat "Demolisher's Handbook" as an introduction to some of the game's mechanics, as well as a helpful guide full of tips and tricks.
And so, it's time to focus on one of the most important activities you will perform during your work as a demolisher and a constructor 🤓 As you know, our title emphasizes the most realistic and genuine simulation of tools, machines, the environment, and... the soil. In a moment you will see how fun and engaging this seemingly simple element is, along with the numerous opportunities it offers.
Let's get straight to work and tackle the tasks assigned by our clients. Today, we're plunging our shovels, excavators, and buckets deep into the ground 🚜 to learn all about Digging and Soil mechanics!
Everything you need to know about digging 👷
In the first part of the Demolisher's Handbook, we introduced you to the general physics you'll encounter in Demolish & Build 3, but we mentioned that the digging process is so complex and extended, that it requires a separate entry. You see, every piece of ground you will set your foot on is carefully simulated and behaves in an authentic, specific way. This may turn out to be a hindrance... or an opportunity to earn extra money. And this is just the beginning!
With the use of mentioned shovels, excavators, buckets and other tools at your disposal, you can dig deep into the ground and, if you feel like it, form a large mound of soil 🏗️ Remember, that earth can be moved, leveled, excavated, relocated and... well, that's just up to your imagination and invention! Just as with other activities in D&B3, there is never only one path to the goal, and the task itself can be completed in several different ways...
And here are some of them:
🚧 Digging
It might seem like one of the simplest tasks, but digging involves a variety of techniques, each unique in its approach. Some assignments will require you to dig narrow, precise trenches, while others will call for large, deep excavations.
Digging holes in a quick, efficient and safe (!) way is an art that every constructor must master, as it will often appear on his to-do list. Needless to say, each of them will require different specialized equipment and planning. Will you be able to stay within the marked lines? Can you go deep enough and choose the right tools? ⬇️ Time will tell!
🚧 Leveling and shoving
Due to the fact that the soil is carefully simulated, it is subject to pushing, moving and leveling. For example, if there's a massive mound in your way, you can simply push it into a ditch with a bulldozer... if you reach the right speed and tilt the bucket at a right angle, of course! 🤔
This may be a useful skill in cases where a customer asks you to backfill an excavation. Shoving for sure will prove to be much more efficient than moving earth over the hole in the traditional "scoop and pour" way. Soil can also be moved in other ways, such as with the side wall of a bucket mounted to a giant excavator... although this is cumbersome, it is doable 😅 Once again - it all depends on your needs and preferences.
🚧 Mounding and piling up
The soil you pour out of the bucket will not magically dissolve upon contact with the ground, but instead will begin to form mounds. The same applies to shoving! If your client wishes so, you will need to remove excess soil from the construction site or level it to a flat surface. It is worth remembering this before starting work in order to allocate the excavated soil wisely.
The formation of sand hills and holes can be tricky, as you may fall into them or get stuck! ⚠️ On the other hand, smart vehicle operation will allow you to drive up such a hill and increase the reach of your excavator's arm. It is said, that an experienced constructor sees opportunities where others see problems 😁 We’re curious to see which one you’ll turn out to be!
Now you know that the digging and soil mechanics are definitely more extensive and addictive than it might seem at first glance. But don't worry, we're sure you'll master all the digging-related skills in no time and prove that no job is beyond your capabilities. Speaking of which...
We are just 2 weeks away from the release 🤩
We can’t wait for September 11, when D&B3 will be released on Steam, and we hope you're as excited as we are! As always, we remain at your disposal on our Discord server, Social Media channels and Steam Discussions.
Be sure to let us know your opinions and suggestions regarding the Digging and Soil system 💭 Your voices are always very appreciated, as thanks to them, we can better understand your expectations and hopes. Demolisher's Handbook #2 - Building 🏗️🧱
🏗️ Hello there, constructors
Welcome to the second part of our new series, in which we will tell you all about the most interesting, engaging and surprising features of Demolish & Build 3. You can treat "Demolisher's Handbook" as an introduction to some of the game's mechanics, as well as a helpful guide full of tips and tricks.
With the first part of our series covering the topic of a Destruction System behind us, we can now move on to the next crucial feature. Crushing, ramming, cutting and smashing are a huge part of D&B3's gameplay, but demolition alone is not everything! 😁
You will soon learn, that building skills are just as important... and that is what we will tell you all about in today's Demolisher's Handbook. Grab your hammers, everyone, it's time to build some new awesome structures!
Getting your construction site ready 🧐
Depending on your client's specifications, you will either build on a clean, empty plot or one where existing buildings need to be removed first. In both cases, thorough preparation of the construction site is the initial task you will face. An experienced constructor always remembers to take a good look around their surroundings and plan their work wisely!
When you are sure you are ready to kick off with your work, check out the task list on your smartphone. Your phone is an extremely useful device, thanks to which you can always check what activity you should do next. And so, since we're talking about the task list, let’s examine the challenges you'll confront on our sample construction site!
Step by step - from ground level to the shiny roof 🏛️
🚧 Preparation of the construction site
- Luckily, we're already done with that!
🚧 Digging ditches for the frame
- The next step is quite precise work, because you will have to dig even, often narrow ditches, that will be used during the next activities. May your hand be steady, constructor, as digging narrow trenches requires a lot of accuracy! A vehicle such as the Elevate EXC-12 Compact Excavator will be just perfect for this task.
🚧 Wooden frames
- Once the excavator has done its job, it's time to build frames along the excavations. For this purpose, use a hammer 🔨 but before, transport heavy boards with a suitably powerful machine, for example Elevate ES-12 Skidsteer.
🚧 Concrete pouring
- Now we will get our hands dirty! When the wooden frames are ready, we need to fill them with concrete. Thanks to this, our building will have a solid foundation and will be much more durable. Unscrew the valves and here we go!
🚧 Floor and wall construction
- Now that our building has a proper foundation, we can move on to constructing the floor and walls. Special flags with activity symbols will show you which tools you should use to efficiently build them. Depending on the type of building, these may be wooden or brick elements 🧱🌲 Remember that external and internal walls are built independently of each other and are separate fragments of the whole construction.
🚧 Ceiling and roof
- The culmination of our work will be the construction of a ceiling and then a roof. Thanks to them, our building will become a cozy, safe place, protected against wind, rain and other weather conditions that our client may encounter in the future. At this stage, a ladder would come in handy—let's hope you're comfortable working at heights! 😁
Sounds like a plan! 🤓
Of course, every construction site you set foot on will be different from the previous one, and the construction process itself may be different from what you've seen before. Well, the job of a builder is very varied and full of surprises! It's entirely up to you what tools and machines you use and how you approach the next construction order, as you are your own boss.
What's more, after construction tasks are completed, there may be unused materials left on the site that will still be of value to your customers. They may ask you to store them in a designated place... for an additional fee! Such bonus tasks often appear among varied orders, so keep your eyes peeled for potential additional earnings 🤑
The money you earn in this way can be used to develop your vehicle park, which over time will be filled with shiny machines, tools and attachments! Sounds like every demolition company owner's dream, right? Every day is a new opportunity!
September 11 is just around the corner 💥
We hope you are as excited as we are and are looking forward to September 11, when D&B3 will be released on Steam. As always, we remain at your disposal on our Discord server, Social Media channels and Steam Discussions.
Be sure to let us know your opinions and suggestions regarding the Building System 💭 Your voices are always very appreciated, as thanks to them, we can better understand your expectations and hopes. Thank you everyone for your continued support and enthusiasm. We will see you in the next entry!
