Since Mac OS and Linux debugging are taking quite a bit of my time, I will be focusing on finishing the story for now. I will post an announcement if I manage to add a Mac version. Update + Cursed Trial Demo
The updates brought by version 2.00+ are now included in the latest Mac OS build. Also, the Mac build is now signed and notarized by Apple.
We also fixed a few issues on all operating systems:
Achievement Touchy Fingers should work again (when you click on the demonspawn's amulet in the main menu you should hear his voice.)
The mouse cursor should no longer change to the default arrow at the edges of the screen.
The updates introduced in v2.00, now included in the Mac OS build, were:
The conversation UI can now be hidden by middle-clicking with the mouse, and restored on any click.
Right-clicking closes menus, as is common in some visual novels.
Added an in-game screen with achievements progress.
Exploration mode now shows where the explorable objects are. (Also, its whole implementation had to change due to the engine change.)
Clarified the anagram minigame message in English - that you need to drag the letters.
Steam Overlay and screenshots should work without having to enable anything.
Slightly restyled some parts of the UI. Increased font size.
If the new version doesn't work for you for any reason, you can use Steam's Betas functionality to revert to version 1.65 (the branch name is v165.)
In other news, the demo for Demonheart: The Cursed Trial is coming to Steam soon!
It's scheduled to come out on June 20th.

I usually post progress updates on Twitter and Discord, so follow me and join the Discord if you haven't yet. Some players suggested that I post more news on Steam, so I'll try to do that.
I'm working on the plot and script, and commissioning two artists, for the characters and backgrounds. The sprites are finished for all eight non-player characters, and we have concept art for the main character. She will probably not appear on screen most of the time, as there are so many others to fit there. :)
Next to do, other than the main character's full version, are the CGs or special illustrations, mostly the romanceable characters and the demonspawn.
Here are some of the newer screenshots, one of them featuring a beautiful dungeon background that the artist just delivered. (At least I think dungeons are beautiful - do you? :'))

Update v2.01 + Cursed Trial
This update fixes some visual glitches introduced in v2.00. Characters sprites should now fade out and come from the correct sides.

Huge Engine Update v2.00
This update should upgrade the game engine to v2.00 for Windows 64-bit users. MacOS and Linux updates are in preparation. We're trying to rule out any issues with the code changes first.
We switched the underlying game engine, so this is mostly a technical update, but it comes with a few UI additions as well.
I hope everything works as intended - If not, please post bug reports in discussions.
When your game updates to v2.00, you should get the following changes:

A new Demonheart game in the making!
I've posted the news on social media, but in case you didn't see it there, here it is! After finishing the VN Demonheart: The Ice Demon, I started working on a new visual novel in the Demonheart world. This one is set after the original Demonheart. One of the old characters will make an appearance, and now we have art of him!
