We noticed the patch notes button hung around on the main menu screen no matter which sub menu you were in--so we hide it after you click one menu deep. Which I could have sworn it used to do--so anyway now that minor polish issue is addressed.
Fixed really obscure but annoying bug
Ok here's probably the last of the little fixes--I fixed an obscure bug where the title screen music wasn't using the mixer settings in the game. So if you muted the sound and backed out to the menu you'd get full blast title screen music. Now the title screen uses the mixer settings from the main game.
For some reason though, prefs are getting reset with new versions and I'm not sure why. So sorry for the annoyance but I'll look at that next.
Camera Lock Offset now REALLY fixed!
Ok! So it required a slightly different approach to the fix, but now the camera lock offset works properly when you reset the game. So the camera lock feature should now be totally functional. Thanks for spotting these obscure bugs!! ːSilverBallː
Billionaires Achievement Fix
The Billionaire's Club achievement should be fixed. This may not have been popping due to the fixes we made to the score system in the original patch.
Ok I SWEAR the mouse is fixed now
Ok--the mouse should hide properly now and cause no performance issues.
Yet another mouse 'fix'
Ok--the fix we did for the mouse pointer did more bad than good, so now we reverted to the old broken flickering "hidden" mouse pointer. This bug will probably remain until we do an engine upgrade in the near future.
A tiny update has appeared!
Hey we just pushed out a very small update that was causing performance problems with some graphics cards due to some new mouse hiding code using an invalid texture. It should be fixed now!
FINALLY, A NEW PATCH RELEASE
IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME...
OK! It's been QUITE AWHILE since the last update. But here we are with the latest and greatest build for all DT fans to enjoy.
WHAT'S NEW
* FIXED SCORE BUGS! So EXTREME high scorers may have noticed inaccurate scores, or even scores going backwards?! We made sure all calculations are done with longs now so this should never happen. We've blasted the game with some pretty absurd scores and impossibly high multipliers and not seen any problems.
* VIBRATION If you go into the EXPERIMENTAL panel, you can toggle on vibration. It's under experimental because we can't really guarantee it's great on all controllers, but for most of the ones we tested it's cool. (Also, there's not a lot of room in options to put it elsewhere!)
* STEAM DECK SUPPORT We're not verified quite yet, but I think this update should address the minor glitches Valve found when attempting to get Steam Deck verified.
* INTERFACE FIXES Fixed a bunch of small interface problems such as the score not being accurate in the ESC menu as well as some obscure GUI focus problems.
* AND MORE! Last minute, we fixed the camera lock setting being reset on restart that one of our eagle eyed users found today.
WHAT'S NEXT?
We have more polish and fixes on the way. Stay tuned for the next update!
STEAM DECK UPDATE IS IN PROGRESS!
Right out of the box DEMON'S TILT runs great on Steam Deck!
We're testing the game thoroughly on our Steam Deck dev kit. So far, so good! This looks like the ideal Steam Deck game.
Currently, we're researching ways to make Tate work best on it. We'll probably have a few button configurations for holding it on either end--so you can toggle that set of defaults on and off instead of having to re-bind keys every time you want to try this vertically. (Basically how we did it on Switch Lite)
If you have any ideas for features and enhancements you'd like to see in the Steam Deck update, let us know!
PATCH RELEASE 1.53
THE NEW PATCH RELEASE IS HERE!
1.53 finally drops!
Here's what you get:
Proper rotated interface for landscape TATE
Fixed bug where devotion meter jumps when you max out your ranking
Updated Steam SDK
Fixed minor UI navigation issues
The big deal here is probably the rotated interface for landscape TATE...no more turning your head sideways. We only do it for the in-game interface, not the main menu or loading screen at the moment. But that comes in kind of handy if you need to back out and turn off TATE, I suppose!
Also, we fixed the bug where the mouse pointer wasn't disappearing anymore. That was a weird one. Also in theory if you're using a PS4 controller you should have more sensible mapping.
Other than that, there are some minor UI fixes that perhaps nobody noticed (such as the aforementioned devotion meter jump which perhaps only billionaires have seen), but we discovered in the process of fixing other stuff.
If you see any problems with this build, let us know! ːgoldeː
