Thanks to the work of a dedicated collection of serial adventurers, Desktop Dungeons is now playable in Simplified Chinese. We salute their tireless efforts by making all generated dungeons extra hard (not really) for the next week.
We've also added a couple of bugfixes, see the community for a detailed list.
Desktop Dungeons patch 1.57
Half-Dragons are no longer infinite Tikki Tooki piety fountains if there are plants around. Sorry if you needed that to win, or something. Stop scumming and get better!
We've also nuked a couple of bugs around the daily dungeon leaderboards and generally just winkled out some even MORE obscure issues that were bothering us (and you, yes, you... We noticed, thanks).

Desktop Dungeons patch 1.56
Did you know that you could attack Evolvia (the Shifting Passages shape-shifting boss) after drinking a Reflex Potion and sometimes just straight up DIE as a result? Long story short, sometimes Evolvia could shapeshift to a Deathgaze form before hitting you. Yeah I know, roguelikes, right? That can't happen anymore...
We've knuckled down and spent some time tracking the obscurest of bugs these last few weeks. Many things have been fixed and we've even cleaned up some of the niggling or weird gameplay things that were still lurking below the surface.

Desktop Dungeons patch update 1.55
Quick set of bug fixes and some tweaks to stability when syncing over poor internet connections.
Changelog:
Added recovery of quests and items if a crash is detected between reaching the Score Screen, and loading the Kingdom Screen
Fixed a bug where restarting a dungeon could cause the game to get stuck in locked state.
Fixed a bug that prevented potion information from appearing when selecting potions in a potion shop that you didn’t already have in your inventory.
Fixed a crash bug in Cursed Oasis
Desktop Dungeons patch 1.53
Polishing up the game post-mobile release, fixed a bunch of mobile and crossover issues as well as chasing down some niggling crashes. The Pactmaker has received a bit of love this patch, as has everyone that wants to play Desktop Dungeons on touchscreen PCs:
You can now run the game with the "-t" switch via the command line to play the game in touch mode, perfect for schmancy laptops and surfaces.
Thanks for helping to make the Enhanced Edition free update a huge success! We hope that you're enjoying the new classes and the Daily Dungeons, and we'd like to keep making sure that you can have as much fun with Desktop Dungeons as possible, so we've updated the game to deal with some bugs and frustrations players have reported.
FREE GAME UPDATE! Desktop Dungeons: Enhanced Edition
The Desktop Dungeons: Enhanced Edition has arrived.
Now with new content and quests, new classes (that's 21 total now if you've been keeping count) and a new way to play: For the first time ever, compete against your friends (or the world at large) in the seeded Daily Dungeon.
Secretly despise friends for already beating you on the Daily Dungeon leaderboards.
Unlock a terrifying new building for your Kingdom.
Discover the Rat Monarch and Chemist classes... and their reasons for visiting the Kingdom.
Click through new quests and ignore exposition as it streams past you.
Gleefully and accurately sling spells from the player-requested drag-to-cast and radial menus.
Pages and pages of optimizations and bug fixes that are awesome but don't sound cool when we put them in lists like this one.
Now available for Linux!
Desktop Dungeons brings goats and penguins together as it the award-winning puzzle roguelike heads to Linux. Tell your friends, tell your enemies, but do NOT tell your strangely dangerous farm animals. That would be a bad idea.
Desktop Dungeons Update
Added fullscreen filtering options to alleviate complaints of blurriness.
Fixed some issues with specific Steam Achievements not unlocking.
Laid groundwork for future interop with Linux and mobile versions.
Desktop Dungeons Steam Cards Now Available!
A strange new monster has appeared! First sightings say that this "Artiste" doesn't have a normal trophy, instead leaving behind strangely compelling cards and a new form of sorcery that our wizards have been calling "emoticons".
Bezar has been grinning in a most disquieting fashion. We're taking this as a good sign.
Steam cards should now randomly drop as you're playing Desktop Dungeons, enjoy!
