The game is developed by 2Dogs Games, a Canadian ensemble of game industry veterans who all share the passion for scifi and deep, immersive storytelling.
The scenes of the game and the handling of emotional fallout of warfare has been consulted with physicians and war veterans. The advisory the team has received has been invaluable: it has enabled the game to be as close to real life situations as possible.

A Leader is Wanted: Destiny’s Sword Lands on Early Access
You have already been the hero. Now is the time to be the leader.
You know the drill: start a campaign and kick off the first mission. You’re ordered to take your team of peacekeeping soldiers and handle a series of riots as cleanly as possible, without any civilian casualties. But when the action starts, everything goes sideways and now you must decide whether to shoot or talk your way to get back in one piece.
Sometimes the worst wounds are not visible – surviving the mission is only the first challenge. In Destiny’s Sword you manage your team through the highs and lows of combat, making sure your troops are in the right frame of mind to bring peace to the planet Cypris.
Destiny’s Sword is a living, graphic adventure with rich narrative gameplay in which empathy is your most powerful tool.

The story is written by New York Times bestselling author M. D. Cooper, and the studio has been consulting with psychologists and war veterans to make sure the characters’ personalities and reactions are realistic and respectful.
The studio behind Destiny’s Sword is 2Dogs Games from Ontario, Canada. The studio is run by long-time game industry veterans, who all share a passion for deep, story-rich adventures and sci-fi.
The game is fully feature-complete, but will receive new content and new chapters in the full release in Spring, 2023. “Including the player community and their feedback in the story’s evolution is very exciting for us. The story is a living one, so this is the perfect opportunity to let our fans jump into the development process from the first steps onward”, says Sami Mikkola from the game’s publishers, Bonus Stage Publishing.

Playable Alpha Demo Update
Exploring our playable alpha build just got easier and more fun!
We've added a brief tutorial session to the build to help guide new players through the core functionality and we've also added some early story content to give a flavour of the eventual experience.
While this is predominantly still a technical systems demo, it does start to offer a tantalizing glimpse of the breadth of the content that will be available in Destiny's Sword.
We're grateful to all of our community who are joining us through the early development stages and who have been so supportive and given us such valuable feedback.

Judgement calls and last minute victories are not exclusive to the battlefield, Destiny's Sword puts the lives and well being of your troops in your hands, whether you are planning the next battle strategy or forming a team of highly skilled medical officers, each choice will have a lasting impact.

We believe that your choices should have long lasting, dynamic impacts within the game world.
Your Troopers can have one of three specializations, each one matches a core element of the game:
- Combat Troopers are most often found on the battlefield, either going head to head for resource control, or holding the backline as the first line of defense. As the commander your job is to assemble and operate the right team for the job. Your choices before, during, and after each engagement counts.
- Medical Troopers are there to catch you when you fall, that is to say when something doesn’t go to plan, troops do go to Medical. Bandaging a cut, setting a broken bone, it takes a team to save a life. In Destiny Sword that team is there for your entire guild, you will need the right skills and preparation if you plan to keep your Troops for the long haul.
- Engineer Troopers are there to make sure you never need that trip to Medical. Whether it is developing new upgrades for the entire guild, or salvaging mechs for the battlefield, Engineers are at the ready to provide the tools needed to get the job done right. Customize your specializations to build a squad as unique as your combat strategy.
The mixture of Infinite Dynamic NPCs personalities gives Destiny’s Sword a living narrative that will be unique for every player, every time. Every choice, and every lesson in the game will leave a mark on your experience. Our Steam Wishlisters are invited to Create a Character and we will add their character to the next phase of the game!
