Patch News and Connection Issues

First off there is a connection issue that we are working on the patch for that will be released in the next 12 hours. It kind of caught us by surprise and started off as a very rare occurance then got larger and larger of an issue as some data came in. It can cause lack of connection, or a shakey connection. We dont know why some folks have no problem and others have a problem we do however know what the problem is and have it fixed we just need to double check, compile, test and patch. This will be done most likely as i said 12 hours. Along with that there will be some performance updates to game load speed yay :)

We still plan to be testing and if no issues a content and other adjustments patch, as well as some changes to Ai and ship stats.

Hang tight folks and will have this corrected!

2.12 Patch Still On Schedule

New patch is coming down the pipe this week as we expect :) will have a list of things going into the patch once we go into testing will get a full list released out.

Server has been doing really well, no crashing no crazyness that we had on launch and were excited to have that stability and we are thankful our early players stuck it out :) We also like all the good reviews and if you havent done a review toss on on there helps us out!

More details coming soon just wanted to let you guys know we were working, quick side note we are adjust ship stats weekely, so feel free to make the case for changes on our steam or ARS website forum.

2.12 Patch Timeline Target Weekend of the 18th

Hey pilots hope everyone is having a good week and ready for a nice weekend of gaming and relaxing.

We will be targeting next weekend for a release of 2.12. This patch will be full of improvements to game speed and performance. Loading the game should be far faster when we are done, so you can start and not look at the pretty wooshy blue cloud as long.

Also Ai Changes by very popular demand we are doing our best to further adjust the Ai so they are less swarmy, they should move more often, mingle less, and will take longer before they respond to you being in the node with them. We will keep tweaking the Ai so its a good happy medium for everyone. Some of the information things and lore may or may not get pushed back a week to 2.13. Just depends on how much we get done and tested by patch time next Thursday. We will be posting closer to Thursday for public trials. The test server is all ready for visitors and there will be a specific download and instructions for that. As always keep giving us feed back and suggestions we are hard at work everyday processing and changing to better your experience in game. 2.11 Release and Server Up :) only down 20 minutes not bad right?

Heres the patch list

- Changed jump range
- Changed AI faction positions
- AI don't notify each other anymore of targets which are not currently in the sector.
- Change Jump Range upgrade name to Galactic Exploration
- Fix trading Spread so it cant be gamed
- Fix Guild Invite language
- Backups will now get deleted automatically without being sent to the bin, apart from the last 10 of them.
- Fix Some Numbers in Upgrades IE Planetary upgrabe cut off price.
- Lower Asteroids Hit points in Gen Zone by 25%, cut jump speed by 100%
- Added tutorial quest leading to purchase chips and rewarding PDC.
- Trading Course 101 quest typo mistake on "Demand" fixed.
- Added display text for the number of parts equipped and maximum slots available on chassis in the Inventory tab of the hangar menu.
- Slightly improved the "CopyFile" method performance.
- Improved auto-fill feature performance.
- When reaching the end or the top of the chat or auto-fill scrolling list, the input will no longer be redirected to other events. (Which will prevent
Zooming in the jump map, or switching your cockpit power bar by mistake)
- When jump range changes during an update, if a player's home planet is no longer within it's Jump Range, the home planet will be switched to GenGrayl without
modifying the current Home planet timer.
- When jump range changes during an update, if a player's current location is no longer within it's Jump Range, the player will be teleported to it's home planet.
- Using the Connect to test server checkbox will now correctly redirect the player to the Test server.
- All calls to the API now goes through HTTPS instead of HTTP
- Replaced "LoginMusic" with "Escape".
- Added multi-account to the list of unlocks on the premium UI
- The mute option now correctly appears in the quick action window (when clicking a player name in the chat, or right clicking a player ship in space)
- Removed small performance hickup during back up.
-Fixed additonal issues with the backup that could cause lag spikes up to 5 minutes which would boot players.

Hey there folks we need to do a little more testing but we are wanting to release in the next day. We will be having some Public testing of the patch and from here on out people will have access to all the new updates prior to release. Testing will be credited in game currency for helping.

One thing folks, if you can set your home planet to a planet right around LM or the Gen Zoe that would be great. We have scripts to move people based on the new range changes but just in case ;)

2.11 Patch - Changes, Fixes, Oh My! We will begin testing today.

We will begin testing soon and we will be uploading to steam prior to bringing the server down so should be waaaaay more fluid.... waaaaaay less down time.

Also to all the players suggesting new stuff in game we will be working on new things and additonal fixes and adjustments the up coming months. Expect regular updates, patches, and content.

Server Will Be Down and Back Up Shortly! Hot Fix

Hey were applying a fix for that annoying problem that doesnt let players randomly connect. This should fix for all players. The game will be going down in the next half hour, and back up shortly after.

Steam users will need to update, it normally takes steam 10 minutes to see that an update is there. We will do another annoucement when patch is applied and server is back up.

Growing Pains and Hot Fixes and next Patch.

Alright so we have some stuff in game we did that would allow people to quickly auto fill names. Super helpful for tracking, emails, lots of things. However with the large amount of players that have been joining it has created a few packets that are sent that end up being to big and failing. In simple terms craps broke it needs to be fixed.

We will be patching this tomorrow early morning probably around 12 or so hours from now. The game is up there's a good number of folks in it. If you can't get in don't rage will get you back in. When we patch we are literally only patching to fix this issue and the server will be back up. We expect a 10 minute down window.

I'm the next week (will give notice when we're close) here are things for sure in the next Update Patch. After this will start adding some additional things in game and be looking for how mechanics for taxes and stock market best fit into the Galaxy dynamically.
