New Feature Announced!



Hello, engineers!



We know you're waiting for more news about the upcoming patch 1.1.0 and so, we prepared a special treat for you: two new features instead of one! We hope you're as excited as we are!

Firstly, something big. We implemented a function that allows the players to add structures in the Battle Simulator mode! Previously, you would have to either make use of pre-existing structures that are already on a map or create an immobile vehicle to act as a structure. You can still do that, of course, but you also have the option to add some of the buildings that you've seen on our maps.

And that isn't all! Adding buildings is fun but what's even cooler is an ability to specify targets in Battle Simulator. And by targets, we mean key objectives that have to be achieved. Additionally, you can designate a vehicle to be a player vehicle by default - meaning that when you start a battle simulation, you will immediately gain control of that vehicle. So you can easily create complex scenarios and play them out. Pretty cool, right?



Secondly, a quality of life improvement that many of you have asked for. You now can control rotors with your mouse instead of using a keyboard! It might be a small thing but improving the controls is something we've been doing ever since Dieselpunk Wars was released. After all, we don't want the controls to get in the way of either building or destroying your opponents.

The AI Upgrade is almost here!



Hello, dieselpunk constructors!



It's about time we talk about the next feature to come with the long-awaited patch 1.1.0 and the exit from Steam Early Access. There are still a lot more features to cover so we're going to start posting these updates more frequently from now on. Make sure not to miss any of them!

This time around we need to talk about the "invisible" things that every patch needs. Fixes and improvements. They often go overlooked, hidden under the hood, but they are quite essential. Patch 1.1.0 will, of course, include a number of important improvements, big and small. Aside from reported bugs and issues detected by our QA team, the upcoming update will also improve the translations and AI. Thanks to our wonderful community we were able to track down certain inconsistencies in our translations that were previously unnoticed. Additionally, we calibrated the targeting AI, meaning that vehicles should have fewer issues shooting each other.

In the next update, we will talk about a new feature that was highly requested by our players! Stay tuned to find out what it is and discuss the upcoming update with other players on our official Discord channel!

Another feature thats coming in with the final release - Detachable blocks!



Greetings!

It’s time to show our next feature available in patch 1.1.0! We are thrilled to bring you this one as we're getting closer and closer to the final countdown. Now, let's get to business.

As we mentioned in the last update, we've prepared a joint block that will be added to the game once it leaves Early Access. What's so special about this particular block is that it can split your vehicles into two separate machines or join them together whenever you want to. This creates a whole plethora of possibilities!





What makes this feature even cooler is how well this feature synergizes with the "auto-aim" function of certain weapon types. For instance, you could design a part of your vehicle that acts as a deployable turret. Just leave it somewhere on the side and lead your enemies to it - and then open fire on them from two separate directions! This is, of course, just one of many possibilities that now exist, thanks to the joint module. We will let you discover the rest once the update is live ;)

Another new feature! Hop in!



Hello everyone! Today we are coming with another announcement regarding our final release update. We’re proud to show you a new feature that will be added to the game with a May 13 release! You’ve been building lots of amazing stuff, some of which you demonstrated in the screenshot contest. This is why we provided you with additional blocks to make your machines look and fight even better!

Some of new blocks are Detachable Joints, View Towers, View Front, View Sphere, View Front Side. They get really crazy. You already know that you can mess up an entire army once they’re on your favorite vehicle. Just add the two side windows and you gain extra view and extra swag.
The joint feature will be very special so we will talk about it more in the next update. For now, it joins our family of dozens of blocks that can revolutionize your gameplay.

The new final release feature! Check it out!



Alright, alright! Last time we’ve dropped you big news regarding the upcoming full release and now it’s time to update you guys with another big game add-on! We’re thrilled to let you know about the changeable physics.

With patch 1.1.0 you will be able to adapt physics to your needs. Gravitation, Weight, Lift, Float, Drag, Power you may do whatever you want with them. Your personal game style is one of our main focuses. That’s a great thing to test out once you play the game. Just hop on the creative mode and explore it yourself! The sky is the limit.

Stay tuned for more soon-to-be-shown updates. Every couple of days we will let you know about new add-ons of 1.1.0, the final release patch. We put a great focus on delivering the product you have and we have wanted.

It's official - Full Version of Dieselpunk Wars is coming to steam on 13 May!

Dieselpunk Wars full release will make its way to Steam servers on the 13th of May. It is our most awaited project of quarter one 2021. Time to battle with our tanks, airships, and submarines! We have never been more ready to supply you with the most interesting machine parts you can find on market. Big, big thanks to our loyal backers from Kickstarter. This game would not be made if not the support from you. ːgemː

Something for you from us



So far we've made many changes in the game. The campaign mode has been improved and many bugs have been patched. Without your suggestions, the game would not run as smoothly as it does now. From now on we will publish additional information about the upcoming premiere every couple of days, starting today.

The first feature of the full game is improved physics! We've been listening to your feedback regarding our machines. You've said that they felt not heavy enough so we changed them. That was a very hard task as that feeling is usually subjective so we've done our best to make them feel as real as it gets. The game never felt that good.



The game only gets better



We do want to spoil you too much so the Final Release upgrades will be shown every couple of days. The 1.1.0 patch will be the biggest of all updates we've made so far. In few days we will update the infographic shown above.

Your voice helped us maneuver Dieselpunk Wars towards becoming a better game. Our final production has been fueled by your ideas and suggestions. We are certainly looking forward to publishing the final part of our production on the 13 May.

Just to remind you, the theme this time was crazy racing machines! We wanted to see machines that can ride on the ground, soar through the skies, or cut through the waves.

New update!



We are also happy to inform you that we released patch 1.0.5. Our main focus was improving the Endless Mode which we still weren't quite satisfied with. Check out the changelog below:

💥 The number of enemies present in the Endless Mode is limited to 5 at a time. If more than five enemies are meant to spawn during a single wave, these enemies will wait until the player destroys one of the opponents. Thanks to this, the player will not be instantly destroyed by a swarm of powerful enemies on higher levels.
💥 It's no longer possible to trigger a double wave spawn by repeatedly pressing the button to start the next wave.
💥 Enemy waves are more consistent. Before, it was possible for more enemies to appear in wave 4 than in wave 5. Now, this shouldn't happen.
💥 We increased the probability of new weapon unlocks after defeating each wave.
💥 If the player is destroyed in the Endless Mode, they will no longer keep access to their previously unlocked parts after restarting the mode.
💥 The module selection hotbar is now reset after the Endless Mode restarts.
💥 We also made various other improvements to the Endless Mode's code so there shouldn't be any further issues with enemy waves not spawning in later stages of this mode.

In the next patch, we will focus on YOUR suggestions. We've been listening to your feedback and we're working on implementing some new mechanics into the game, as well as improving some of the old ones. Stay tuned!

Patch 1.0.4:



💥 Fixed an error that would cause the enemies to stop spawning after wave 6 of the Endless Mode;
💥 Improved Great Tracks module behavior;
💥 Camouflage blocks now properly receive shadows;
💥 Text Plates can now be saved;
💥 Added a new Exhaust Pipe module;
💥 Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause Steel, Hard Steel, and Titan modules to spawn, save, and load in their damaged state.
💥 Enemies spawned in Creative Mode now always despawn after destroying the player.
💥 Toolbar improvements, module selection panels 2-4 will no longer be overwritten by panel #1.

Dieselpunk Wars Patch 1.0.3



Hello everyone!



We’re not slowing down - check out the latest update to Dieselpunk Wars. As always, thank you for your support and feedback, you really help us improve our game. NOW, without further ado, let’s cut to the patch notes 😉

💥 Added huge variants of mechanical legs! Both a regular and a spider mech leg can now support bigger vehicles;
💥 Improved one of the Golden Balustrade models to make it symmetrical;
💥 Added a sloped version of a Golden Balustrade module;
💥 Added two new deck modules;
💥 Added extra-long quad triangle modules (in 3 variants);
💥 Fixed a bug where the command block location of a saved vehicle would change on its own;
💥 Improved Battle Simulator stability; after resetting a finished battle, vehicles should no longer move when the player is still setting up the next fight;
💥 Fixed an issue that caused Creative Mode to reset blocks assigned to its toolbar;
💥 Changing block material to a material with a higher base HP will no longer display the block as damaged;
💥 You can now see vehicle names above each vessel while in Battle Simulator;
💥 Endless Mode will now always start with empty slots in the toolbar, making it impossible to "smuggle" extra parts from Creative Mode to Endless Mode.

Hotfixes - a short list of minor updates which we already added to the game during the last week:
💥 Fixed an error that caused the build limit in the Campaign Mode to reset to 300
💥 Fixed an issue preventing the player to add new parts around the lower part of two turrets
💥 Improved the model of the Long Inverse Triangle module, which was slightly curved
💥 Added missing colliders to the Turbo Charger and Super Charger modules
💥 Fixed an issue, where some of the sprites wouldn't display white colors properly
💥 Long blocks can no longer be clipped into other blocks while in Build Mode
💥 Added support for 2560x1080 and 3840x1600 resolutions
