1.1 Update and New Price!

Today we're excited to release Dimension Jump 1.1!

This update brings improvements to the level editor and in-game experience. In addition to the update, we're also permanently lowering the base price of the game to $10 USD, based on customer feedback.

Dimension Jump Patch 1.0.118 now available and only 24h left on launch discount

We’re proud to announce the first patch release for Dimension Jump. This is primarily a bug fix release, focusing on fixing issues that players have experienced during the game.

There are only 24 hours left to claim our 10% off launch discount, so be sure to get in quick!

Below are a list of changes in this patch:

  • The level end screen now progresses to the next level, instead of the level select, when you press the Z key. You can still press Esc to return to level select. 
  • Fixed an issue where the game would not appear in the Windows task bar when in fullscreen mode.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred in some circumstances when leaderboards were loaded in the level select screen.
  • Usernames are now cropped in the leaderboards, so that long names do not appear over times.
  • Added diagnostics to be used to further diagnose issues on high-resolution (4K) or hi-DPI screens. If you are experiencing issues on hi-DPI screens, please log a support case: https://support.redpointgames.com.au/portal/newticket

The first feature update for Dimension Jump will occur in mid-to-late April, and will bring improvements to the level end screen, level editor and user levels section of the game. Stay tuned for more news on this in the coming weeks!

Dimension Jump Demo v0.32 Released

First off, we’d like to thank everyone who’s been playing the demo since our announcement last week. We’ve been watching the Let’s Play videos and are thrilled to see people enjoying the game!

Off the back of this, we’ve updated the game to better communicate mechanics and improve the layouts of a few levels. You can play the new version (0.32) straight away at the Dimension Jump website, but read on if you want to know the details!

Game Updates

  • When the player is Dimension Locked, the game now makes it visually clear that this is the case, with additional feedback if the player attempts to Dimension Jump.
  • Dimension Lock blocks now better indicate that you will be locked to a certain dimension and have been improved visually.
  • Gamepad support has been updated and now allows dimension jumping by using bumpers.

Level Updates

  • Some levels have been re-ordered to better reflect their difficulty level.
  • Move and Leap have now been merged into a new Move level. If you’re coming back to the demo, this level will be marked as unplayed.
  • Learning has been removed.
  • Flip Flop star has been updated.
  • They Change simplified to reduce confusion and changed star requirements. If you’re coming back to the demo, this level will now be marked as unplayed.
  • Lockout has been changed so players cannot accidentally complete the level. If you’re coming back to the demo, this level will now be marked as unplayed.
  • Hop Hop Hop now has a clearer layout.
  • Teleport has been remade to better communicate the teleport mechanic to players.
  • Current Teleport level has been renamed to Shortcuts.
  • Corridor has been updated to be less confusing.
  • Time It Right has had the first dimensional kill zone removed, to improve the fairness of the level.
  • Advanced Tactics bonus teleport moved to reduce confusion (as it is only for use only on star).

Below are some changes that are only applicable to the full game, but we’d like to share anyway.

Game Updates

  • When pushable and falling blocks are destroyed by grills, this is now visually communicated with an animation.

Level Updates

  • Accelerator has had it’s star greatly simplified.
  • Gravity Jam has seen minor tweaks to the layout.
  • Push now has more area to move.
  • Stack has been simplified to better communicate the mechanic to be learned in the level.
  • Vault has been simplified.
  • Bridges has been updated so that it is less likely for players to accidentally destroy one of the pushable blocks.
  • Prisoner has been updated so players cannot accidentally destroy the pushable block.
