ROADMAP
Since many of you were asking - what are our plans? are we going to update the game? add more content? The answer is yes and yes and below we are presenting our first Roadmap for the next few months of the development of this project:
We are now working on the next Patch which will include even more fixes and improvements. For the next patch we plan to fix freezes experienced by some people, improve controls and translations even more.

First Patch on Public Testing Branch
Dear Fossil Hunters!
Thank you for participating in the game launch with us, watching the stream and sharing first feedback. We noticed that some of you had issues with the game which most of the time are related to 2 reasons:
It's possible you've played a demo, prologue or beta version before and that there are some configuration files left on your PC from previous version of the game which interfere with the current version. To solve this please do the steps from FAQ Question #7 (here).
Another reason might be related to non-standard hardware of your PC. We are a small team and we couldn't test the game on all the different monitors and GPUs available on the market, but we will try to fix those remaining issues as fast as we can.
In fact we have already prepared a Day 0 Patch which is currently available for all of you to test on our public_testing branch on Steam.
If you want to test if the game works better on the new version - just open the game's properties on Steam and switch the beta branch to public_testing:

P.S.1. Remember to backup your save files before switching to public_testing branch. You can find your save files here: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\PyramidGames\Dinosaur Fossil Hunter (just copy the whole directory into a safe place before switching Steam branches - just in case)
P.S.2. There's also another branch called previous_build which may be useful to streamers who started working on their museums before the game launch.

After 4 years of development, we can finally hand over this game to you. It has been a long journey and we hope you’ll enjoy the results of our work. We’re looking forward to your feedback, so don’t be shy and share your suggestions with us on Steam forums and our other social media. The upcoming days will surely be busy for us, but we’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can!
Rest assured that this journey is not over! We’ll be taking your suggestions into consideration while planning future updates for the game. In the next few days, you can expect to see a roadmap with details regarding first updates after the launch.
Take a look at some of the pictures taken during the development of this game as well as during events we were participating in. During those 4 years a lot has happened – some team members got married, others had children, some of our former team members have left while we’ve welcomed a lot of new faces in our ranks. Most importantly, during all this time, each one of us learned a lot!
Our journey took us to many places and we met many wonderful people along the way. We visited natural history museums, as well as real excavation site.
Our stops also included various gaming events and even though not everything worked out during difficult times of COVID pandemic, Dinosaur Fossil Hunter traveled around Poland and even made its way to some of the events overseas!
Let’s not forget about our team mascot - The Dino who cheered up a lot of people. 🦖
