Directive Nine will be removed from Steam in the near future.
Unfortunately we have not been working on Directive Nine for some time, and it is now clear to us that we won't be doing any more updates.
We want to thank all of you who supported us and played Directive Nine.
Special shout out to those of you who gave us feedback and suggestions along the way.
We are not completely sure of the date yet, but we are submitting the game to Steam for removal, and when they approve, it will be gone

Update 0.2.1 : The Enlightening
Update 0.2.1 patch notes
- Switched entire lighting pipeline and light model to pre-baked GI for soft lighting.
- Major performance increase due to no real-time lighting cost incurred.
- More accurate colliders on several props like Triangle Table and Medical Scanner
- Bugfix : Fixed Drone death sequence not triggering
- Bugfix : Fixed Credit Boxes re-appearing when entering a previously cleared room.
Update 0.2.0
Item updates:
- You will now get many many more items. You can pick an item each time you clear a room, instead of at the end of each mission.
- As a consequence, several items have have their stats reduced, so their stacking % are lower.
New Items:
- Explosive Knockbacks : Chance that enemies explode when they are knocked back into somethin (stacking)
- Stunning Knockbacks : Chance that enemies are stunned when they are knocked back into somethin (stacking)
- Stocking up : Chance that you gain 1 magazine when a room is cleared (stacking)
- Lucky Medic : Increases Healing Drop chance (stacking)
- Healing Fountain : Restore up to x% health on Room clear if health is below x% (stacking)
- Payback : Increase chance to launch grenades when taking damage while below 50% health (stacking)
- Shock Therapy : Chance to inflict Stun to nearby enemies when an enemy dies (stacking)
- Pyro Nanites : Chance to inflict Burning to nearby enemies when an enemy dies (stacking)
Enemy updates:
- NEW ENEMY : Drone - A flying bot who can mess you up good
- Most enemies have had their damage output reduced
- More enemies can now spawn in after a room has been cleared
- Most enemies have had their audio reworked
Leaderboards:
- Due to the big balancing changes, Leaderboards will be reset.
Level:
- Made the "Big Red Button" easier to press
- Rooms now contain shootable goodie-boxes
Weapons
- Weapon Unlock costs have been increased, as a consequence of more loot now dropping.
New WeaponMod:
- Chance to spawn plasma projectiles in random directions after landing a headshot
UI:
- Improved EndScreen UI with better statistics and Item overview.
Device:
- Improved Device Detection
Fixes:
- Fixed bug where magazine gets stuck when reloading and quickly swapping weapon
- Fixed bug where weapons wouldnt shoot
- Fixed bad hand orientations on some devices
- Fixed VR rendering bug where the view inside the headset would be "offset" sometimes.
