v2.0 - New Character: Evelyn

Meet Evelyn, the Crescent City’s secret weapon against the things that go bump in the night. Once Vince’s sharp-witted secretary, Evelyn’s talents have always gone far beyond filing papers and answering phones. Born and raised in the heart of New Orleans, where the air is thick with jazz and mystery, Evelyn was steeped in the arcane from an early age. Her grandmother, a revered manbo, passed down the secrets of voodoo, teaching Evelyn how to commune with spirits, banish ghouls, and send zombies shuffling back to their graves. It didn’t take long for Vince to notice that Evelyn had a knack for predicting trouble long before it hit—and she wasn't just good with office supplies, she was deadly with the dark arts.

Trading her typewriter for a standard issue revolver, Evelyn now faces down Tenomes and spirits with the same cool confidence she once used to manage Vince’s calendar. But instead of booking appointments, she’s scheduling one-way trips for the undead straight back to the underworld. With her pearl earrings and necklace, inherited from her grandmother, Evelyn is armed with more than just bullets—she’s got gris-gris for protection, intuition to unmask the hidden, and determination to turn the tide of any supernatural showdown. When ghouls come a-knocking, they’re in for a rude awakening because Evelyn’s got the power of the bayou backing her up.

Now, when the Task Force is facing a problem that’s more than just skin-crawling, Evelyn is the one they turn to. She’s not just fighting monsters; she’s using her heritage to fight for the good of all. Whether it's sending zombies back to their dirt naps or banishing a spirit that’s overstayed its welcome, Evelyn’s here to remind the forces of darkness that they’re outmatched. So the next time a Tenome decides to eyeball the team, remember—Evelyn's not just seeing the unseen; she’s sending them packing.

v1.8 - UI Items & Animations

Our latest update brings animations so slick they'll make a zombie do the moonwalk! The map screen now has more animation than a Friday the 13th marathon, while your journal screen practically writes itself with its new, lively movements. And don't worry, your notes won't be left out—they're bouncing and jittering like they've seen the ghost of games past! Dropping items now comes with a dramatic flair, as if they're diving off the set of a horror flick. Those gun cabinets? They've got custom animations so smooth, even Dracula would be impressed with their finesse.

We know new players can feel like they've been tossed into a Wendigo's lair, so we've added a guided tutorial to hold your hand through the horrors. We've also tweaked the minion settings to be as clear as a vampire's reflection (or lack thereof). Fall damage is now a little less punishing—think of it as landing on a pile of soft, fluffy bat wings. We've adjusted sprinting so you can run like you're being chased by Jason Voorhees himself, and torches and flashlights now last longer, giving you more time to light up the dark and less time to feel like you're in the Blair Witch Project. And for those who love dropping their twigs into blight trunks (you know who you are), the process is now smoother than a ghost's glide.

We've exorcised some bugs and optimized our spooky setting with Unreal Engine 5.4—because even our code needs to look like it's straight out of a horror masterpiece. Kiyoshi's animations no longer look like he's been possessed by a poltergeist, and we've fixed various issues that were haunting our Dirgelings' experience. So, whether you're reloading in the heat of battle or just admiring the eerily beautiful landscapes, expect a smoother, scarier, and more thrilling adventure. Gear up, Dirgelings, and dive back into the darkness—your next spine-tingling encounter awaits! Don't forget to follow us on social media and check out Dirge on Steam for more ghostly updates! 🎃👻

v1.7 - Injured Animations

👻 Dirgelings, get ready for Dirge 1.7! 🩹 We’ve got some spine-tingling updates that will make your characters... limp? That’s right, investigators will now limp when their health drops below 1/3. Because nothing says "I’m in trouble" like dragging a leg through the eerie shadows! 🚶‍♂️💀

We've added a setting to mute the game when it’s in the background—perfect for stealthy coffee breaks. 🕵️‍♀️☕ And minions can now hear gunshots, so be careful where you point that thing! 🎯🐾 Thanks to Rageful Riot, we’ve fixed the Wendigo devour/stun bug, ensuring the Wendigo 'releases' before getting stunned.

PSN Account NOT Required! PC Game is for PC.

Attention Dirgelings, we have an important announcement: After careful consideration—okay, maybe not that careful, more like a glance over our shoulder—we've unanimously decided that requiring a PSN account to play Dirge is about as sensible as trying to fight off a horde of Revenants armed with nothing but a flashlight. In other words, it's downright silly, and we wouldn't dare subject our players to such unnecessary hoops to jump through.

We're all about inclusivity here, so if any other dev out there decides to take that plunge into the murky depths of PSN exclusivity, fear not! We'll gladly welcome their players into our own community with open arms and a wicked grin.

So, grab your friends, sharpen your stakes, and join us in the battle against the darkness—PSN account not required, but a healthy dose of bravery definitely recommended. Stay tuned for more updates and remember to check out our game on Steam for all your horror fix needs!
