Recently it has come to my attention that a lot of users have been posting spam maps into the workshop in order to fulfill the achievement. This has lead to the unfortunate side effect of the Doodler workshop having many maps that are for lack of better words spam. In an effort to improve the community and allow players to get the most out of the workshop I have gone through and removed most of the spam levels.
Unfortunately, I did not realize that this would cause some of you to receive a temporary ban from uploading to the workshop. This was not my intention and I would like to apologize. I have reached out to Valve and am trying to remove these temporary bans from your accounts.
In addition, to prevent this in the future I am working with Valve to remove both 'Upload' and the 'Community Leader' achievement. I want people to upload maps they want to share and not maps they feel they were forced to make for an achievement.
I sincerely apologize if you received a temporary ban from uploading to workshop due to this.
Doodler 1.4.0 Adds ability to remap inputs
Why?
The default configurations will work for qwerty keyboard and Xbox controllers.
If you use a different keyboard layout or wish to use a non-Xbox controller this menu will allow you to remap controls for Doodler.
Open Configuration Window
Hold the "Alt" key
Click the "Play" button from the steam library
Let go of the "Alt" key
Click on the "Input" tab
From the "Input" tab you can double-click any control and remap it.
[H1]Control Breakdown
Move Keyboard (+) ~ Move Right
Move Keyboard (-) ~ Move Left
Move Controller ~ Used for joystick control of movement
Jump ~ Jump
Use/Grab ~ Activate levers and grab boxes
Start ~ Open pause menu, Close various menus
Move Camera X Keyboard (+) ~ Move camera right
Move Camera X Keyboard (-) ~ Move camera left
Move Camera X Controller ~ Used for joystick control of camera
Move Camera Y Keyboard (+) ~ Move camera up
Move Camera Y Keyboard (-) ~ Move camera down
Move Camera Y Controller ~ Used for joystick control of camera
[H1]Controller Mouse Mode
In order to provide compatibility to play with a controller Doodler attempts to emulate a mouse with a controller. If you launch the game with a controller plugged in you will see the following popup.
"Move Camera X Controller" and "Move Camera Y Controller" will be used to move the mouse.
"Jump" will "Left Click"
"Use/Grab" will "Right Click"
Note: The mouse will continue to function at all times.
There is a known issue with certain configurations that causes this system to lock the cursor to a corner of the screen. If this happens simply hit the Esc key and Controller Mouse Control will be disabled for the remainder of the play session.
Doodler is now Free!
That's right Doodler is now 100% free.
No need to worry, no loot boxes or microtransactions, just a free game. We hope that this change will vitalize the community and bring even more value to the workshop. Have fun and enjoy and don't forget to upload your creations for the rest of the community to play!
Previously owned the game?
Don't worry we have a special DLC in the works.
This DLC is an exclusive free gift for the original supporters.
Expect this DLC to appear in your accounts in the next few days.

TICGN Review
Check out the new review from Ryan Silberman over at TICGN

"Doodler is an easygoing game for its genre, but it is robust and carries a hefty stage editor to boot. Without the editor, it’s a decent puzzler that is enjoyable to stroll through; even if the player doesn’t necessarily need to think too hardly about the puzzles on display, they still demonstrate a sense of cleverness. With the editor, it’s ripe with potential for a surplus of user-made stages with unique challenges of their own. It can even be exciting just making the stages! All in all, check this game out when it arrives onto Steam!"
