This is a fun addition for anyone lucky enough to own some bHaptics gear: You will be able to feel hits aswell as various other effects: The special moves often have different vibration effects, the healing wine one is my favourite I think, and you feel the shaolin finger jab go right through you. Also of course you can feel where you get hit as well as how hard which can be useful tactically as well as adding to immersion.
The feet are more for preparation for the full body tracking which is still a work in progress, but if you use them now you will be able to feel footsteps and the kick impacts. I intend to do a bit more work on the feet to make the impacts more directional.
To use any of the above, just have them switched on when you start the game. Note: Will also work in the demo
Other Changes:
Left Handed Mode - for all your southpaws out there: you can engage left handed mode by holding left trigger on the main menu for a few seconds, or via the options menu. It reversed the hands of the controls e.g. right thumbstick moves you instead of left, laser pointer gets swapped, special moves swap sides so that you can throw ninja stars etc with your left hand instead of right. There is also an option to have right handed controls, buy with left handed special moves.
After its been requested a few times, I have added pressure points to the kidneys as well as the back of the neck. To be honest I find them quite hard to hit, which is why I didn't add them originally, but that may be just down to how I play the game. The back of the neck does double damage and weakens them for a few seconds, whereas the kidneys cause extra 'pain' damage over time. Check them out in the practice room
Made some things clearer in the training chambers
Increased the snap turn angle - adjust this to your liking by changing 'turn speed' in the options menu
Added a sound volume option
Fixed a bug where Ting An's special was sometimes adding more "Can't walk" than it should have + I added a hand vibration effect if you try to walk while you cant, which should make it more obvious whats going on.
New Cheat Mode: Big Heads, its a bit silly but quite fun - ask me on discord if you want to know how to access cheats. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/885835362935668746/949403838077612062/unknown.png
Fixed an occasional error with the level picking screen when starting a new game
Updated the demo
Other small fixes

Mirrors, Gongs and Fixes
Improved saving/loading hopefully made it more reliable for those who were having issues. If you still have problems, please get in touch via discord or email: ben@benolding.co.uk
Mirror in the level select/practice/general room - the reflection is a bit smaller than real life, and it looks like it comes out the mirror a bit, but I've enjoyed posing in it, feels strange looking in a mirror and seeing someone else look back
Gong in the level select/practice/general room with a pleasing sound effect on hit
Can now return to levels or start a new game from the Game Complete screen
Improved the Dragon Palms - better effects and hit effects
Can no longer be hurt while getting up
Can now see character faces on continue slot buttons
New experimental option to have the spectate camera visible (its like a floating box) so that you can look at it if you want
Some minor fixes and optimisations
In other news....
The Quest 2 version is coming along nicely, it plays/feels pretty similar to the steam game and I'm getting it to look pretty similar to, with a few bits that had to be cut back. There are currently a few bits in the game where it drops frame rate a bit: certain levels and especially if there is more than 1 opponent. I'm also not quite happy with the general colour of the game on quest. But progress is being made. I don't know when it will be released or whether it will be accepted by the oculus store or applab. But if interested come and join the discord and/or follow my youtube for updates.
Full Body Tracking: Its been difficult, but am making decent progress: Ive managed to get it matching my legs quite well and able to turn out knees etc + made the feet stick to the floor a bit so that you don't get them going through the floor or wobbling. This also meant making a more advanced calibration where you can adjust arm length and leg length, so that might also be useful with the normal game.
Thanks for the ideas suggested. I do think I will put in kidney pressure points, and maybe back of the neck. I think I will also try adding double press direction for dash.
Thanks
Thanks for the nice reviews and the continued enthusiasm, as well as the excellent videos and streams people have done, it really helps
Version 1.0.7
New version out now, with a few fun things...
Secret Level added - access via smashing the framed photo in the restaurant
New Practice room options for free practice: Show pressure points, and AI modes: Standing, Stances, Moving Stances and Fight.
Dragon Palms special move can now do multiple hits
Improved throwing on valve index
Discord Rich Presence added (will show in discord what you are doing)
Pocket Pistol will now drop after a few seconds if you never made a fist
Changed Flying Blade special move pose to be a closed fist
Fixed some tutorial things
Fixed an issue where your hands are sometimes stuck by your sides
Some other minor tweaks to menus and other things
Changed how some achievements work so that you can get "harder" achievements, even if you started the game on easy - but if you want an achievement for completing the game, it will take the lowest that you have won a fight with. (will say "lowest: easy" etc on the level select screen)
Cheat menu, ask me via email or discord if you want to know how to access it. Note: will stop you getting achievements while active
Some FAQs:
Full Body Tracking - am working on it
bHaptics Vest - Would like to add support, but havent managed to get one yet
Multiplayer - would like to, but havent tried it yet
Oculus Quest Version - its in the works and is getting there, have been adding all the new things from the steam version and hopefully will have some video of it on my youtube soon

Version 1.0.6
Changes
Adjusted how elbows work so that you can now tuck them in to protect your lower ribs better
Some adjustments to how your body follows you, to hopefully keep it under you a bit more if moving around in your playspace
Stopped dazed enemies being able to accidentally hit you, or hit during coming back from dazed
Can now put candles out by punching/kicking near them
Beggar Su now does a "cup holding" hand position when palms facing you, this is to allow you to do your drunken style better
Lean control added. Go to options > experimental to switch on. This allows you to move using your head to steer you rather than the thumbstick, keeping your hands free - honestly I'm not sure I like it, but its there as an option
Option added to keep first person view on win instead of switching to 3rd person. Options > VR > On Win
Ho Hwa's special move post made a bit easier
Fixed a bug with the bosses health not returning to their increased amount of health (e.g. going back to 100% rather than 140% etc) on new rounds - so this will make bosses a bit tougher
Fixed a bug where the arcade mode leaderboard sometimes wouldn't show
Fixed a bug with kicking while paralysed causing an odd noise
Fixed a problem with the "static" mirror cam sometimes being outside the room in the practice room
Some fixes/tweak to some special move instructions in the practice room
Version 1.0.5
Hello all, I've just put a new version up today, here are the main features:
Mirror View Options
This is what ive been working on most this past couple of weeks and I am pretty pleased with the result. If you go to the options menu > mirror view. You have some settings there that will affect what appears on your computer screen (but not what you see on your headset). Its worth noting that having something different rendering can affect performance a bit, so if it feels slow, switch it off if not needed, or reduce quality a bit.
POV FOV - increase the field of view when in POV view
POV Stabilize - smooth out the wobbling you see when watching VR footage
Mirror Mode - Choose between: POV, Mixed, Moving, Side view, Behind View, Enemy POV, Static, Mixed will switch between the mode, hopefully showing on screen something that will resemble a fight scene out of a movie (your mileage may vary)
Mini POV - show the stabilized POV camera at the bottom left of the screen while other modes are showing in the main view
(See the video at the bottom of the post)
A note with this: If you press the spectate button while a non POV view is showing, then the mirror camera will move to line up with your own and zoom in a bit - I did this so that if you want to talk to camera or do some cool pose or something, then you know that the "viewer" will be seeing something similar to you.
Its not perfect yet (sometimes goes behind a wall, the zoomed in spectate cam button still seems to be a bit wobbly) but I think its pretty fun and I wanted to get it out there - I will continue to work on it
Realism Mode
Some people expressed a desire to have a way to do some more realistic martial arts fights without special moves etc. So I have added "Realism Mode" to the special modes on the main menu. It has:
No special move
No slow motion
Less effects e.g. no stars flying round their head when dazed. You will still get hit effects
Minimal UI - no healthbars, combo text etc flying about
Other Changes
Special move positions now a bit more forgiving
Healing wine nerfed a bit
Fixed a glitch on the Pimax and some WMR headsets that sometimes turned you round 180 degrees
Extra options for custom mode (switch U to minimal, switch off slow mo)
Few other small things
Tried to do a thing to make your character mouth move when you talk, but I don't think its working - let me know if you see it
I've got some vive trackers that I hope to experiment with over the weekend (should be fun), and next week I hope to try and add a left handed mode and try a few other things that I mentioned in my last post + things that players have suggested.
I hope you like the new changes! and have a great weekend - Ben
