Island Thingy.
Welcome to our first experimental demo, aptly named "Island Thingy." The purpose of this technical demonstration is to test our Steam networking integration, find issues, and streamline functionality for future titles.
Development Synopsis
This project was built in two weeks, using our simple in-house networking framework, Anil Isbilir's "Tropical Island Environment" asset package, and Gustavo Rios's "GR Male Hero 02" character package. Our networking framework was adapted from Iron Armada's Steam matchmaking integration, and adapted to Unreal Engine 4.

Current Features
The project currently includes the following.
- Large-scale environment, beyond 4km²
- Dynamic multiplayer, currently limited to 10 concurrent players
- Simple exploration-based gamemode
Project Objective
The project's purpose is to test the following.
- Viability of large-scale environments in multiplayer
- Improve the stability of our multiplayer integration, through player feedback
- Expand and test experimental gamemodes, taken from player suggestions
