- Sketchbook Match History: fix issue where round dropdown / player dropdown was hidden behind long prompts for whisper matches
- Streaming: When audience is allowed to guess in Stage Mode, send a 3-2-1 to chat to help with timing issues
- Streaming: add SFX when *modifier voting* is over in both Stage mode & Whisper mode
- Streaming: add SFX when *word match voting* is over in Whisper mode

Ready, set, stream!

With today’s update, Draw & Guess adds new interactivity features targeted at Twitch streamers. So far your chat audience could watch you play – now they can play along!

On our brand-new streaming tab (added to lobby settings) choose to let them…

- vote on game modifiers
- suggest prompts
- guess along
- and/or decide whether in-game players guesses are right!

Interactive streaming settings are available for Whisper and Stage modes. ***With streaming activated, Stage does not require a minimum of 2 in-game players anymore, while the 4-player minimum requirement for Whisper still stands.

Combine streaming with our content moderation features, and you’re ready for an epic night (or day) of streaming!

For all you non-streamers, here’s what else we put into this update:

- Added support for pixel art in sketchbook
- When game settings are changed, a system message is now displayed in chat, and players are set to “unready” for significant changes
- Added a “save” button to sketchbook so images can be saved without closing the draw module
- 0-9 can now be used as shortcuts to access palette colors
- Significantly improved game load times when users had many stored matches in their matchbook
- Optimised layout for Whisper-games in match-history
- UI fixes
- Added seasonal designs and special new characters!!

Adding Trust Score and Content Moderation tools

We have now launched a new system for players to evaluate their in-game experience with other players, and to address concerns relating to disruptive behaviour having a bad influence on the game experience. This update also includes a number of Content Moderation tools giving streamers more power to control game content shown on their stream.

Trust Score

This new score has been attributed to each player and can range from 1 (lowest) to a maximum of 5 (exceptional), with a default value of 3 (good). It will be calculated based on several factors including reports and praises by other players.

Praising players

If you want to highlight that a player was especially great to play with, for example, you can praise them in the ending screen of a completed game.

Reporting players

In the unfortunate case that a player behaves in a harmful or intentionally disruptive way, you can report them via the report button.

Public lobbies

To ensure players find a safe space in public lobbies, hosts can manually adjust the minimum required trust score for entering their lobbies. Said score can not be higher than the host’s score, and the score does not apply for private lobbies. When hosts select a minimum score of “1”, any player can enter their lobbies, regardless of score.

Why are we doing this?

We want to ensure that players in Draw & Guess feel safe and welcome, and that everyone can focus on what the game is about: Drawing, Guessing, and having a good time. We believe the trust score is a good tool to help in that regard as it empowers players to decide themselves how they want to set up their public lobbies, and gives them a meaningful way to send feedback on others.

Content Moderation Tools

With this update we have added tools to moderate incoming chat, prompts, guesses and images. They all have their home on the new “Safety” tab in the general game settings, together with a handy guide explaining how they work.

In the new freely-positioned preview panel streamers can check each item submitted by other players before making them fully visible to their audience. That way streamers can more freely play in public lobbies without risking that other players disturb their stream with unfitting content.

… did you know?

In addition to the trust score, players and hosts can use a range of other ways to moderate their lobbies and improve their game experience. Players can mute other players in lobby, in game modes – and in lobby drawing. Muting does not affect a player’s ability to guess in the game, only their messages are not being forwarded. Hosts can kick players both in lobby and in game modes and can delete a rogue player’s drawings in lobby drawing.

We’ve added answers to many frequently asked questions to the FAQ section in the discussion board.

Trust Score Announcement

In the coming month we will launch a new system for players to evaluate their in-game experience with other players, and to address concerns relating to disruptive behaviour having a bad influence on the game experience.

Trust Score

This new score will be attributed to each player and can range from 1 (lowest) to a maximum of 5 (exceptional), with a default value of 3 (good). It will be calculated based on several factors including reports and praises by other players.

When hosts select a minimum score of “1”, any player can enter their lobbies, regardless of score.

In today’s update we have rolled out the backbone of the system to gather data to evaluate our trust score algorithm. Praising and reporting features can be used as of now, but the remaining features (including the trust score itself) will only become available once that evaluation period is done.
