Calling all ghouls, goblins, and creatures of the night! I, Scarlet, invite you to a ghastly Halloween contest. I am looking for the most creative, spooky, and fun Halloween drawings featuring the star of the month: Me!
As a part of our big update for Draw & Guess next year, you’ll be joined by Scarlet, a new addition to our game.
To welcome her into the Draw & Guess universe, you're hereby cordially invited to this year's Halloween contest!
🎨 To participate:
Open Draw & Guess and go into Lobby Drawing
Create your masterpiece including Scarlet
Post your submission with the hashtag #DGHalloween2023 in the screenshot section on Steam or on the #share-drawings channel in our Discord server.
Be sure to submit your drawing by October 30th at 12 pm UTC. Any submissions violating the rules below will be removed and disqualified.
📑 Rules:
Sexist, racist, nudity, and NSFW submissions are not allowed. Keep it safe and respectful.
Submissions must include Scarlet.
Submissions must be created using Draw & Guess - any submissions using other software are not allowed.

Announcing: New & Upcoming Changes
Today we don't have an update for you, but we want to announce some pretty exciting news about the future of Draw & Guess!
We are thrilled to share with you what we’ve been working on for a while now. Aside from networking improvements, our team has been putting a lot of effort into developing a fully revamped version of the game!
With this new version of Draw & Guess, we’re not only improving our current features, but we’re also updating the entire interface and adding new tools that have been long requested by our amazing community.
The update will make the gaming experience more fluid and will also allow you to express your creative skills better. 🎨
Among these changes, here are some spoilers: colour palettes, layers, sketchbook, and much more! We will share updates in the coming months, so make sure to stay tuned to our channels 👀

This is still a work in progress so we would love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to share your feedback with us on our official Discord server! Our main priority with this update is to provide a better experience to our players.

Update notification from 31 August: Changes to Lobby Drawing Contributor List
Hello everyone!
Many of you have reported issues with the user list in lobby drawing. The latest update from 29 August addresses these issue as follows:
The contributor list is now scrollable
Disconnected players are now reformatted so you can recognize them more easily
Disconnected players’ names are now shown correctly to players who joined later
These changes allow players to hide other players’ lines more easily from their personal views. Friendly reminder: If you do not want to share the drawing space with others at all, you can always move to the single lobby drawing tab.

Update Notification from 17 August
Hello everyone, Happy summer time!
Here’s a brief overview of the changes we have implemented recently:
1) Player list in-game can now be activated and deactivated with TAB, and does not automatically close when TAB is released anymore. 2) Added an additional Exit button for the player list. 3) Improved drawing capability: Unwanted “spiking” of lines reduced. 4) Added various stability improvements.

Hello everyone,
Here is an overview of the fixes and updates we have released in the last few weeks. - “Return to lobby” feature is back - Number of backbone servers has been increased - Using a touchscreen no longer deactivates other input system - Chat closing behaviour has been improved - Games start faster now - Host detection has been improved - Game now correctly registers all players being ready - Presentation phase now is shown completely even when the number of players decreases below the minimum - Wordlist detection and handling has been improved

Beta rolled out to main game
Hello everyone,
Beta features are now available as the main version of the game! For the time being the previous main version is still available as “Draw & Guess (Legacy)”, as we closely monitor the effect on mainland China players.
Compared to Draw & Guess Legacy, the new version includes (among others): - Greyscale colour picker - 2 additional game modes (Lobby Drawing, AI) - New sub-modes (Pixel Art, Gravity, Invisibility)
The new version also includes: - Improved connectivity to the game - A fix for players suddenly being unable to draw during game rounds - A fix for matches being stuck - A fix for an issue with updates to specific wordlists

Fixes for Beta issues implemented
Hello everyone,
Here's a quick update of the changes implemented so far this week:
Game now shows the actual chat key mapping next to the chat icon. You can change the key mapping in the main menu. It is highly recommended to use Enter, as the chosen key is also used to submit messages in the chat. I.e. if the chosen key for chat was "z", messages in chat must also be submitted using "z".
Active players will now see alerts before the server will be shut-down for maintenance. There will be three alerts: 15 minutes, 5 minutes and final alert. The server will shut down immediately after the final warning, so make sure to save any of your progress before then.
A fix was implemented for (Wacom) tablets not working in the game on Windows computers. You may have to activate "Windows Ink" for the stylus to work properly in the game.

Beta Update - New Network solution
Hello everyone!
Beta has undergone a major network update, and a new network solution has been implemented. We’ve also solved a bunch of other issues, including some with the fill tool.
While we can’t promise no one will ever disconnect anymore, thanks to optimized reconnecting and host promotion, the game experience should be much better. 😊
