Dread of Laughter has been remade to be longer, much more user-friendly and the old version's problems have been addressed. This includes full on working save system and better checkpoints so the player doesn't have to re-do as much anymore after dying.
Major improvements in the new version of the game
-The game has proper tutorials in the beginning that will teach the player the mechanics. -Longer gameplay before the house and new areas to explore -Fixed every game breaking bug that was present in the older version of the game -More secrets in the map. Can you find out what happened in the farm? -Achievements have been made to work -In the main menu you can now continue your progress by loading your previous games or start a completely new one. -You can now properly hide from enemies behind rocks, tables and inside the closets! - Enemy speed has been lowered at the beginning to give the player more chances of surviving and hiding.

Our latest update is live! It will bring more content inside and outside the house, whole new beginning to let the player learn controls before anything major is going to happen.

Todays patch adds the save system to the basement. We heard a lot of feedback and decided to add another save location there.

Patch Notes - Save System & More
Todays patch will bring the long asked save system along with other things. Do note that this save system still requires few tweaks and improvements that are coming soon. Right now it is the "raw" version so the players inventory doesn't save. Although it will not affect the gameplay as everything needed is either inside the safehouse or in the outside area of the map.

We had to delay the crafting as we are focusing on the save system. We're a team of 2 people so everything will come as fast as we can make them. 100% functional save and crafting will most likely come next week!

List of bug fixes and improvements
- Safehouse remade to look a lot better

- Fixed a bug that caused the killer to see through the floor on few spots

Patch Notes - What's this!? What's that!?
We've gone through quite a lot of feedback and made few adjustments and bug fixes that the majority has been reporting.
- Outdoor area is a lot bigger, few new areas to explore
- No more constant WHATS THIS? WHATS THAT? audio cues
- RNG Keyspawns scrapped, there are still few randomly generated mechanics but the beginning keys are now in one spot. This doesn't mean that the rooms where the key won't be are not important
- We made a safehouse with crafting possibilities coming in future
- Killer run speed lowered by 25-35%. Makes it possible to run away from them outside
- More story elements
- More encounters
- Every bug seen from livestreams and feedback is fixed, this also includes animations
- Footsteps now have their corresponding sounds depending on the surface

Gameplay Improvements
Today's patch brings few gameplay fixes and changes. We've heard a lot of feedback; positive and negative and we're going through everything in order to improve the game for everybody.
Changes and bug fixes
- Upstair keys are no longer random generated
- AI sounds have been improved. No more looping sounds
- Better death screen
- More puzzles in the early game
- More outdoor content and puzzles

Bug fixes / Improvements
- All major bugs have been fixed
- VHS tapes now have proper videos
- Changed the kitchen keyspawns to be easier. Old spawns were bit too hard to spot
