Turbo TDM - Removed fire and reload rate buff as this was too good on certain classes.
Turbo TDM - Reduced points per kill to 2 to extend games as they were ending too fast with no time to catch up.
Red Sands - Removed all the color from red sands. It was getting in the way of enjoying the game.
Hangar - Also removed color from Sinley Bay to be consistent.
New Ship - Marauder - Light Tac Cruiser and annihilator of humans.
Dreadnought Turbo Update
Greetings, Captains.
In this release, we deployed a new game mode, a new map, and UI improvements. We also launched a new hero ship and fixed a handful of game issues.
These are the details:
New Game Mode: Turbo TDM
The new Turbo game mode was made possible by the discovery of enriched antimatter and the daring experimentation of our Sinley Bay engineers, recklessly led by Ray Dog.
Turbo-charged Team Deathmatch
This mode kicks team deathmatch up a notch with accelerated ships and weapons Work with your team to take down as many members of the opposing team and be the first to 25 kills (100 points)
From some early reports of combat testing between Ray Dog and other captains first on the scene, the following modifications apply to your ships if affected by enriched antimatter:
MOVEMENT (HORIZONTAL) = +600%
MOVEMENT (VERTICAL) = +300%
TURN SPEED = +300%
WEAPON DAMAGE = +50%
MODULE COOLDOWN TIME = -50%
WEAPON COOLDOWN & RELOAD TIME = -50%
PROJECTILE SPPED = +250%
New Contract: Speed Demon for Turbo TDM mode
Play two games of Turbo
Reward: 10,000 Credits
New Map: Site 23
“Site 23,” also known as the Mercury Exclusion Zone, it’s the wreck site of a Transhuman ship called Aethon.
The ship was discovered by Commonwealth scientists in the days after the War, the area was quickly developed into a secret research facility to understand and exploit its advanced engine technology.
After a disastrous core rupture collapsed the security perimeter and broadcast its location to the Solar System, Site 23 has become a battleground for rogue captains looking to collect the enriched antimatter radiating from the wreck.
The Site 23 map is exclusively available in the Turbo game mode.
UI Changes
Improving the UI has been on our To-Do list (and our wish list) for a while. We’re thrilled that we were able to implement the first wave of changes.
We made some initial redesign work for home, statistics, contracts, fleet selection, and game mode selection screens. We also streamlined the opening screen sequence to get you to the game faster.
Please keep in mind that this is work in progress, and we welcome your feedback along the way.
Market Updates
New Hero Ship: Hermes
This is the ship that Raydog commanded during the investigation of the Mercury Exclusion Zone. It’s a T3 Light Corvette with the following modules:
Blink Warp
Heavy Torpedoes
Disrupt Pulse
Afterburners
New Figureheads: Hermes
Hermes style figureheads for all ship classes
Mercury Expedition Decal
Claim your free Mercury Expedition Decal in the Market through March
Balance Changes
Goliath Torpedo - Decreased deploy and arm time by 1 second and increased steering time by 1 second.
Artillery Cruiser Bots - Added rules for them to use secondary weapons at close range.
Squads: Squad size returned to 4.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
PC Login - fixed a crash on login if you have too many friends in your list.
Havoc Mode - Fixed a soft lock on Havoc wave 19.
Ship Modules - Endurance mode now triggers regeneration consistently.
Orbit Screen - Added 40 seconds to orbit timer to give players more time to load in. If all players ready-up, it will skip the rest of the timer. This addressed an issue where some players did not get into orbit in time for ship selection.
AI Bots - Fixed a light corvette loadout that had primary weapons in the secondary slot.
As always, many thanks for playing our game.

Happy Holidays, Captains o7
Feature: PC - Havoc Mode Beta!
We are in the process of porting over Havoc Mode to PC. It's fully playable but definitely in Beta. Currently there is no text chat and some UI is still a bit rough. Getting things converted over is taking longer than expected, but we didn't want to go into the holiday empty handed. Please let us know any bugs you find and give feedback on the mode. We want to make some changes to the mode in the future, but did not want to make any decisions on that until PC players were able to get a taste of it and provide their feedback as well.
WEATHER THE STORM IN HAVOC MODE
Havoc is a cooperative game mode that’s about one thing: survival. It pits you and three teammates against increasingly difficult waves of enemy ships. However, these aren’t just any vessels looking for a fight. They’re commanded by the Dead Horde, a ruthless faction of criminals and ex-navy officers. Sent by the nation of Troja into the depths of the Scum Belt, the Dead Horde's mission is to destroy the region’s navigation beacons, or Okeanides—and they’ll fire on any ship that gets in their way. Your ability to work with your team and adapt to changing threats determines how long you can withstand their relentless assault. Rather than bringing your own fleet of ships to fight the Dead Horde, you and your team choose from a selection of preconfigured vessels every few rounds and upgrade them over time. For example, before a new wave, you can enhance your ship’s weapons, health or speed—or switch to an entirely new loadout. Are you ready to face off against the menacing Dead Horde? Enter the depths of the two new maps, Hekate and Xanthe, to find out!
PC Havoc Beta Known Issues:
There is no chat window in this version of Havoc
Some UI controls may show as controller options but can be toggled with Q E
The expected ship coating (Bastion) is applying to the upgrade ships but not the base ships at match start
Energy selection may get stuck
You can back out of the energy selection UI and try again if you encounter this bug
Bug fixes:
Ship Vanity now appears correctly in game.
Fixed a bug where patterns and decals would not show in game. Additionally, the base pattern was not displaying correctly on weapons and modules.
Balance Changes:
Siege Mode - Reduced proximity to 50m.
Siege mode was too easy to use without aiming and the increased projectile speed reduced the need for aiming at incoming corvettes. With reduced proximity, we hope to now facilitate a more balanced fight.
Storm Missiles - Added more missiles at T4 and increased overall damage by around 5%.
Number of missiles fired at T4 increased to 18 from 12.
Range at all tiers from 2km to 3km.
Total damage increased from 12960 to 13560 at T3
Total damage increased from 20400 to 21420 at T4
Total damage increased from 24480 to 26400 at T5
Squad Size Reduced to Two Players Due to issues with matchmaking, squads are becoming an issue. Four coordinated players are very hard to fight against unless you are also in a group of 4. To combat this we are restricting squads to duos in order to even out the teams better. You are still free to play with a friend, but would be required to make multiple squads if you have more in your group so that teams are spread out to make matches more balanced
PS4 Team Elimination - Team Size and Allowed Bots.
The settings for the number of bots and minimum team size for PS4 did not reflect the settings on PC. This was a mistake and made it very hard to get a match of TE on PS4.
For now, the minimum team size is 5 and the bots allowed are set to:
8 for Recruit
6 for Veteran
4 for Legendary
Azure Night Market Updates
Following the Transhuman departure an unrecorded planet-killer comet entered the Solar System and was captured in orbit around Jupiter.
Every year the comet called Odinseye passes close to Sinley Bay sending it into an ""Azure Night"" as ice crystals in the solar wind fill the sky with bright blue lights. During this time, a mysterious ship with the head of a wolf can be seen flying in the comet's tail. Nicknamed Fenrir by Sinley Bay's captains, the ship is regarded as a watcher and protector.
Items available in this market update
New Tier IV Light Destroyer Hero Ship, Fenrir
Fenrir’s Knot Pattern Collection - This collection features 15 unique patterns, one for each ship class
Azure Night Bundle - This includes the Fenrir Hero Ship, Azure Dawn, Azure Night, and Cryometeor Coatings, the Fenrir’s Knot Patterns, and the Macteera Wolf Emblem and Decal
Winter Headwear Collection
Holiday Items from previous seasons are back in the market
Dreadnought November 2020 update
Hello Captains,
We have a small update for you with a couple bug fixes, but mostly just a market update. The update is light this time while we do more work for the December release. There are a couple impactful changes though, Team Elimination returning and Contracts now count AI kills in PvP modes.
Bug Fixes
Contracts
AI kills now count toward contracts as long as you are playing a PvP mode.
Note that this doesn't include Proving Grounds mode.
Ship Customization
Engine color when previewing ship coatings now updates correctly.
Captain Customization
Pulled the camera back so you can see the outfit better. You can still zoom in to see the head as before.
PS4 Notifications
Final notification no longer processes input on the notification and the screen underneath.
PC Game Mode: Team Elimination
This mode was disabled due to some logic issues on PC over a year ago. Since then we have made several general fixes that may have cleared up issues with TE but it can be difficult for us to find certain edge cases in this mode.
Please let us know if you encounter any issues with Team Elimination. You can report anything you find by reaching out to us on Discord or by submitting a CS ticket through the in-game bug reporter.
This will not be part of "Any" in matchmaking so if you wish to play TE, please select the mode specifically.
The minimum number of players in this mode is 5 up to 8.
AI settings will allow 4 bots per team in Recruit, 2 bots per team in Veteran and no bots allowed in Legendary.
*A reminder that if you wish to send us bug reports or feedback or find squads and teammates to play something like 4 squads of 4 Team Elimination mode then you can contact the Dreadnought community through Discord at https://discord.com/invite/dreadnought

October 2020 Update
Hello Captains,
This update we wanted to bring Havoc mode to PC, but due to the amount of work still left to do, we were unable to make it in time. We quickly changed gears to make sure we could deliver some bug fixes, balance changes and holiday vanity in time for the witching hour.
Bug Fixes:
Retrofits now appear in the market again.
They were hidden last update due to a search filter bug
Announcements work again.
We have had a very hard time communicating with players in the game due to this lost functionality. These announcements will appear in the notifications bar in the top center of the hangar, and in the chat window while in a game. The announcements can be hidden if your Notifications window is minimized, but you will see a number indicating the number of notifications you have. make sure to check them in case there is an important message.
Siege Mode should no longer be invisible.
We have been working on why this happens and feel like we have found the answer. Our ability to reproduce the issue has always been poor, so please let us know if this is still occurring in matches.
Max Health Status Effects
Fixed Max health buffs so that when max health is increased, you stay at the same percentage of total health. Reducing max health doesn't take health away unless it would be higher than your new max health. For example, if you have 1000 max health, are currently at 800 health and gain 50% max health, your max health would be 1500 and your current health would be 1200, keeping you at your original 80% of max health. If you then lost the buff, your max health would go back to 1000 and current health would go down to 1000 to keep you within your max health.
Balancing changes:
Heavy Tac health increased
We have gotten many complaints that the Heavy tactical cruiser really didn't have the health increase that would counter the slower move speed. To rectify this, we have increased the max health of the Akula Vector Tactical Cruiser to fit more into it's armored aesthetic.
Koschei 27500 from 25000
Ohkta 30000 from 27500
Siege Mode per projectile damage decreased
We have seen that Siege mode is still a bit overpowered. The amount of damage especially at lower tiers was a bit much with no real tools to avoid it. We decided to reduce the damage a bit more to reduce the hurt. It will still deliver quite a punch, so avoid it if you can.
T0 Damage 3000 from 4050
T1 Damage 3500 from 4050
T2 Damage 3750 from 4050
T3 Damage 4050 from 5062
T4 Damage 5060 from 6075
T5 Damage 6075 from 7090
Oberon Corvette primary weapon damage and ammo capacity increased at tiers 4 and 5.
The July update reduced the number of projectiles per shot at T4 and T5 and as a result, even with the increased fire rate, the amount of damage was going down per tier. This was an oversight and to correct this while keeping the same feel, we decided to increase the ammo count per clip to get us closer to the right number of projectiles while increasing the damage to account for the overall reduction in number of projectiles. The damage for these tiers has been increased dramatically and should be closer to expectations. Please let us know how it feels as a drastic change like this needs to be watched closely.
Medusa low/mid/high from 100/125/375 to 155/255/615, Ammo magazine size from 20 to 30. Weapon cooldown stays at .2s
Mithras low/mid/high from 90/110/300 to 155/255/615, Ammo magazine size from 20 to 30. Weapon cooldown stays at .16s
Market Update:
Bastion Figurehead
This includes a figurehead and pattern for all Dreadnoughts. It also includes a coating and decal for all your ships that goes along with the figurehead theme.

New outfit based on the Oberon Nanosuit with a skeletal theme. This comes with a Captain tint based on the Bastion coating theme.
Bastion Bundle

Dreadnought September 30th Update
For young Captains new to life in the Outer Solar System or old hardened Captains looking to resharpen their skills, we are releasing the Sinley Bay Combat Training Bundle including the new XA-5 Hero Ship, Captain Tint, and Sinley Bay decal. Also take some time to study the Sinley Bay Combat Training Manual. As they say in the Scum Belt, the Captain that stops learning is the Captain that stops breathing.
Balance Changes and Bug Fixes
Rupture Ram and all other rupture modules remove armor and apply debuff before dealing damage.
Did another pass on missiles to address them missing and flying around an enemy.
Raydog AI Captain now appears correctly on End of Match screen.
Added status effect activation on shield hit for some that were missing to ensure that all status affects apply regardless of shields being raised.
Drain drones now have reduced health.
Small hangar performance optimizations. This is a work in progress, more to come.
It’s been a challenging year so far. I hope everyone is staying safe during this trying time. We wanted to update all of you with the state of things, what we are doing now, and what is planned for the future. Sinley Bay needs to go through some changes both to improve the current experience and to provide something new for long time Captains. While we work through these changes, we invite all to give us critical and constructive feedback to keep us on the right track. Let us know what we are doing wrong, but also what we are doing right so we can do more of it.
The State of Dreadnought
To start, I wanted to give everyone a sense of where we are. Dreadnought was in Open Beta for around 2 years, and has been on Steam for almost 2 years as well. During that time, we’ve learned about what kind of game Dreadnought is and could be. We've had so many competing ideas it made it hard to focus and take player feedback into proper account. You might notice that when talking to other players, if they don’t agree with you, they might assume that you don’t know enough about the game. This is the same mistake we were making by assuming you just didn’t understand the reasons for the changes we were making. As it turns out we didn’t know enough about how you were playing the game.
While having a reduced team size is limiting due to the amount of work that is needed, it does allow us to be more focused on the vision and engage more with the community to influence what we are working on.
This leads me to what we are doing now. We are working on changing our matchmaking to help with long queue times, but we understand there is still more we can do. We continue to work on balance changes that are meant to help even the playing field for new players that haven’t been fully upgraded. We also want to have more events to give better incentives to log in and continue playing. We are looking at adding rewards tied to Captain rank and changing up the daily contracts and what they give you. All of this is to better prepare our infrastructure to allow for ranked play.
Looking towards the future, we want to provide new gameplay experiences and incentives to get captains excited about getting into Sinley Bay. For this, we need to provide new content (visual and systemic), incorporate improvements to existing game modes, and deliver on our promise of custom matches allowing for social and tournament play.
We want more PvE content for those that prefer a cooperative experience. Towards this end, the first initiatives will be Havoc on PC, reworking Onslaught, and implementing Onslaught vs AI. We plan on improving the AI to feel more like active participants in the game and update their loadouts and ship visuals to make them feel more like Captains that have roots in the Dreadnought universe.
There will be optimizations needed in the Hangar, and UI updates to improve the player experience. UI updates will be incremental whenever possible so it doesn’t take too much time from other initiatives.
Lastly, with all these things we want Guilds and Ranked play to allow better social play and let Captains know where they stand. These systems will need to be created from the ground up and, as such, are a ways off; we just wanted you to know that this is at the core of what we are working towards. In order to have Ranked play, we will need to even the playing field for all ships in the ranked queue. If T4 and T5 ships are to be included in ranked play, they must be competitive with each other, otherwise we would need to restrict ranked play to only T5. This is a work in progress and we will be doing focus tests with community members to get feedback before implementing anything.
Below you will find the roadmap schedule as it is now. As with any development, this schedule is subject to change. This is our intended plan and we will let you know as soon as we can if there are any major changes.

Fashionought
From September 3rd through the 13th we will be on the lookout for players showing off the styles of their Captains or Ships. You can post your best looks on Discord, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. We will select 10 random players for a prize of 1000 GP and 30 Days Elite Status
It's been a running theme on Discord that players who show off their flashy new ship customization will call on the !fashion bot. We wanted to make the end of Summer update themed around new recruits going to Sinley Bay flight school or graduating as Captain of their own ships. To that End we have created a couple new deep discount bundles for Ship and Captain Vanity.
Balance Changes and Bug Fixes
- We have made some adjustments to Dreadnought Torpedos, Corvette Main Guns, and took another step on balancing Siege Mode for Artillery Cruisers.
- Proving Grounds rewards have been increased to be much closer to PvP rewards.
- You will still get more advancement through PvP but Proving Grounds should feel a lot less painful on the End of Match screen.
- We wanted this mode to be a better option for players who prefer PvE, want to try out a new loadout, or just want a bit of downtime from Sinley Bay's finest.
To get your items, log into the game this weekend and play a few battles. Be sure to claim your tint and coating collection from the market. The other goodies will appear in your account in the next couple of days.
See you in battle!
PS. Value is estimated for the US,. It may vary in other markets. Promotion valid between Friday, July 3, 2020, and Sunday, July 5, 2020 (UTC).
