This time we are happy to announce that DreadOut : Keepers of the Dark / KOTD is available now. In this standalone extension of DreadOut, you will continue as Linda's last journey before the event battle with The mysterious lady in red.
Even though we are having so much fun and deeply in love with Linda and her hardworking job to keep us alive, now it’s time to announce that after Keepers of the Dark, Linda will be gone for a while contemplating on her fate. We can't promise you anything about Linda's future for a while, but we will try our best to keep her alive on our upcoming titles (fingers crossed).
As many of you might not know that DreadOut is first came from an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign on 2013, got greenlit by Steam Greenlight after we put it for 6 months for 60K yes vote by you guys, finally we are able to release our first act and continue on our second act, and now we are close to our final take on the game, DreadOut : Keepers of The Dark
We can't thank you enough for all of your supports, first believer came from our crowdfunding backers, “yes” voters on our steam greenlight page and then everyone who bought our game first place on Steam. All of that are becoming our lights fuel of hopes and motivations, because of you DreadOut is still alive, and we're here at Digital Happiness got a wonderful chance to get known by you among thousands amazing titles here. We also want to emphasize that with the release of KOTD doesn't mean that no more updates will happen on DreadOut. We will keep our ears and eyes for some anomaly and issues on it, and we will continue to fix those kind of problems on some future updates.

Free DreadOut Avatars DLC for FaceRig is available
Hi everyone!
We’re thrilled to announce the talented people of Holotech Studios have released a free DLC for their FaceRig based on DreadOut characters.
Those who have played DreadOut will recognize the creepy Matianak from our Act 2. Well now you can fool around with her facial expressions.
And, of course you can also be our heroine, Linda. She’s pretty quiet most of the time. But now, you can make her say anything you want with your own voice.

As we got selected as one of the Special 48 Hours discount, enjoy our special summer breeze sale!
You can get DreadOut at 75% off while we are featured on the summer sale special for 48 hours.
As for the rest of the summer sale, we are still offering DreadOut at 66% off until the summer sale ends. So, it might be a good time to have your friends experience the horrors in Linda's journey.
Also, remember to update your game to get the best experience playing DreadOut as we routinely fix bugs that are reported to us.
As a recap, here’s what have been updated on our latest build (2.2.5) :
Linda will have a new T-shirt than can be unlocked right from the beginning of the game. You can find the outfit through the van's trunk at the beginning of Act 1.
Fixed number of articles related to "Tomb Reader" achievement
Fixed "Book of the Dead" and "Tomb Reader" achievements
Fixed bug where loading the game will bring up the main menu instead
Fixed some ghost glitches where it went freeze but still causing player damage
for Mac / Linux users There is still an "asset release problem" on Linux and Mac within our engine (using Unity). The workaround is we would have to play from a clean start at almost every next scene/level. We apologise for the inconvenience but that is what works for now.
To recap: Start the app (DreadOut), play the game, finish current level, when the level is finished, it will advance to the next level which will mostly fail (because of the reason above). Just quit the app, wait for Steam to synchronise the cloud files, then start the app again, then load the game from the slot we use. Repeat for the next level. Again, apologies for the inconvenience.
