New Update: Improved the driving model and diversified tyre types
Hello, Drift21 community!
We took the game back to the garage for a solid "work under the hood." All available cars were analyzed, and on this basis, multiple parameters of the cars were improved - among others, the vehicles' gravitational centers. We fixed a lot of known bugs and improved RAM management. We also "tuned" the game's score system - we can say that we designed it almost from scratch! Therefore, the UI also changed. Thanks to the inclinometer, it will be easier to control the drifting angle.
Together with our community, we have also put a lot of work into improving and diversifying the available tyre types. We are convinced that this will make it easier to match the type of tyres to the power of the car and your preferences.
See you on track!
Changelog
Driving model related changes:
Major changes to car control:
Tweaked gravitational center of each car,

Easier and more predictable drift initiation and maintaining
Rearranged and changed parameters of each tire and compound to suit different playstyles (big shout out to our Discord community! Thank You!)
Other changes:
Changed the way each asset is loaded, allocated, and presented in the game - major improvement in RAM allocation and usage. Be aware that this change may slightly affect loading times and expect further improvements in the near future.
Completely redesigned drift point counting system - car speed, drifting angle, and numerous events (such as Kiss The Wall should now have a more significant impact on score and multipliers)
Completely redesigned driving UI to properly show and highlight changes to drifting point counting
Changed how Kiss The Wall and Wall Tap events work - should be more transparent and forgiving
Changed the way in parking brake works - should prevent cars from moving on their own
Changed how penalty points works (allowed off-track wheels changed from 1 to 2) - drifting attempts should be more forgiving now

Rebalanced challenges to suit recent drift point counting changes

Beta test: Improved tire types
Hello drifters!
Over the last few weeks, we have been working on improving and diversifying our tire types. Each of the seven types of tires has a different grip, so you can better match your car to your style.
We would like to know your opinion about the changes, so we invite you to participate in a closed beta version of the game.
More details about beta tests and instructions on how to join them can be found on the forum post: Beta test: Improved tire types

New update: BMW E46 and V8 Engine!
Hello, Drift21 community!
In today's update, we have some new features for you. First of all, please welcome the European king of drifting tracks - BMW E46! You can build your car from scratch, or use some of the presets we have prepared in the Quick Race mode.
If you were lacking power before, you should now have enough of it. There is a powerful V8 engine waiting for you in the warehouse, which after tuning, easily delivers over 1000 horsepower! There are also bug fixes in the update that have been reported by the community.
This is not the end of the new features we are planning for September. This month you will test your skills on a completely new track. At the same time, we are working hard on multiplayer mode.
We are also constantly gathering feedback from players about the new driving model. Our goal is to further develop and improve this aspect of the game. That's why we ask you to share with us your comments on the Steam forum or in private messages on the game's Facebook page.
See you on track!
New update: Major changes to driving physics and Force Feedback
Hello, Drift21 community!
It has been a while since our last update but there's a good reason for this! We have spent some time in going through all your comments and gathering your feedback and we have worked hard to address your requests and come up with new physics and adjusted wheels compatibility. Today we are ready to put this new version in your hand and to make you feel the improvements we have added a Quick Race mode.
It's been a month and a half since DRIFT21 was released. During this time our team has been working hard to provide you with new routes, a new car, and support issues. We would like to thank everyone who supported us by participating in the Early Access phase.
We would like to give you some information about our upcoming plans related to DRIFT21 to keep you up to date about the progress of work.
Due to your feedback on the driving model, our current focus is on make drifting in our game as fun and as close to realism as possible. At the moment we are paying a lot of attention to improving the feeling of car behavior that you get with Force Feedback. With the support of our publisher - 505 Games, we are developing improved mechanics to enhance immersion.
We would also like to work more closely with you to maximize the potential of Early Access. Therefore, we ask you to continue to report and describe your driving experience in DRIFT21 in this related thread – Community Suggestions .
Please tell us in the thread what kind of controller you are using, and if you can, write what elements related to the driving model you like and any potential improvements. Thank you!
Although working on a driving model is a priority for us, this does not mean that the game will not generally receive updates. In the near future, we plan to increase the number of available languages in the game (i.e. German, French, Russian, Spanish, and Japanese). There will also be a first installment of the replay system, as well as a few add-ons to make your drifting cars more personalized.
If you would like to share with us your suggestions and comments about our game, besides communicating through the game forum on Steam, you can also write to us through our Facebook page. Together DRIFT21 will become the game you have been waiting for.
