in today's update brings safe sectors. As you probably all know the whole world is made up of smaller sectors that are gradually revealed on the map. As of today, it is possible to secure certain sectors.
Security is done via "MCPO Point" claim sites and "Outposts". Both of them require a daily supply of resources, if this is the case the surrounding sectors will be secured. The MCPO Point secures its sector plus adjacent sectors to the north, south, east and west. The Outpost secures only its sector.
A liberated and secured MCPO Point also activates the local militia.
But keep in mind that secured sectors are not 100% safe. Zombies and aggressive animals may still appear, but they are completely free of raiders (both on foot and in cars).
In secured sectors there are no attacks on your claimed and securedl ocations.
There are still a few locations in the world that are outside of the possible safe sectors at this time - these locations can be attacked. As time goes on, more MCPO Points will be added to make everything secure.
There are two new "Transport Depot" locations in the world that will supply newly needed material. Both are within safe range of the current MCPO Point locations.
Here is the full list of changes and new features:
World Map now shows secure and non-secure sectors.
World Map unsecured sectors have a red tint.
A secured and functional Outposts now generates a secure sector.
A secured and functional MCPO Point now generates a secure sector for itself and surrounding sectors.
A secured and functional MCPO Point now activates the local militia.
MCPO Point now requires a daily supply of Outpost Resource: "material" to function fully.
Two new Claim Sites "Transport Depot", which add 2 materials per day.
The secure sector is now free of:
- Raiders around roads.
- Raiders in cars.
- Zombie Bosses.
- Attacks on locations.
I want to thank you for your support and patience - thank you very much! Enjoy the game!
Warning - possible spoiler - showing some claimed pois location...
Update #040 - EA 0.07.009
Hey survivors!
After a long break, i have prepared a new minor update and improvements for you. As most of you probably know, i was forced to take a little unplanned vacation and take a break from development. The game itself hasn't been able (and still isn't able) to earn a full time development lately.
I was and still am forced to find other work and pursue development on this game when there is space and peace an development. Which hasn't been very much lately.
Anyway, I did a little update, focusing on the little things that caught my eye right after this extended hiatus - when I played the game again and approached it differently than before.
Mostly that the game is too simple;) And it loses the atmosphere I wanted it to have.
So here are the first small changes:
Options - sections have gotten a better and more understandable UI for switching sections
Fixed some visual bugs (on the go) - a lot of them are still in the game.
The traders around the roads (with weapons) now have very little chance of being encountered + there is also a chance that their caravan will be in flames and destroyed.
Claimed POI sites - Military Post - there are no more arms dealers.
After completing the tutorial, all cars in the game are very low on fuel.
Also, the content of the free petrol cans has been lowered - petrol is more valuable now.
The world map is no longer available in creative mode.
Some "Claimes POI sites" now have a better visible capturable point (the device where you submit the stripes).
The frequency of spawning some items has been reduced.
Improvements to prevent cars that aren't yours, but you were driving, from disappearing - But if you are too far away from them they will disappear (necessary for performance).
Improved overall interaction with objects, no longer so many issues during object targeting and interactions.
More to follow...
I want to thank you for your support and patience - thank you very much! Enjoy the game!
Update #039 - EA 0.07.008
Hey survivor!
Today we bring you a new update that brings several major technical improvements.
First, the physics behaviour during car crashes into enemies has been adjusted. It was more complicated than we expected, but it worked out in the end. There's still room for improvement but the basic mechanics are, in our opinion, already much better than before.
Also, a tweak was made to the weather behaviour - it's globally colder at night. So nights are not entirely safe even in a forest location. The frequency of spawn events on and around the road (enemy cars, npcs etc.) has been reduced - so the world is not too full of humanoid npcs - instead there are more animals and zombies (including big ones).
The character now makes disturbing noise - this is a working version , but... If you're in a car that's started, you're attracting nearby zombies. And anyway, if you shoot, you'll attract the attention of the surrounding zombies.
We want to thank you for your support and patience - thank you very much! Enjoy the game!
Update #037 - EA 0.07.006 - 007
Hey survivor!
Today we bring you another minor update. This time it is mainly focused on tuning the world around the start location. We focused on adding other POI claim resources places (for future outposts) to the south, including landscaping, etc.
You will now find the following POIs or places here: Several new forest parking lots for cars. Various dirt roads - for example from the fishing cabin to the south along the river. These paths serve to shorten the path but through the uncomfortable surface of the terrain. Motel with a shop - those who remember the "legacy" version of the game will remember the "Forest Zone", which is given a place of remembrance. It is possible to build a garage and a junkyard across the road (a memory of the "legacy" home zone). And a few other places that are worth visiting either to find raw materials or get cars for sale or scrap;)
Specific data for new POIs:
Market - adds 1 food
Motel - gives 4 beds and requires 1 energy
Office - adds 1 ammo
Electric Plant - adds 2 energy
New garage - requires construction
New junkyard - requires a build
A place with traders - there is also a special trader/chest to buy raw materials (wood, stone, etc.)
And more.
Places where new content has been changed or added:
We must also not forget the two new cars (which are very similar but are slightly visually different). Minivan and Microbus - both cars are available in different colors and can be found in different parking spaces. Crucial to these cars is their luggage space capacity of 15 positions.
And last but not least, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Also, We want to thank you for your support and patience - thank you very much! Enjoy the game!
Hotfix #038 - EA 0.07.007
Fixed a bug when claiming a second power plant.
It is now possible to buy the "Dirt" needed for farming at a camp with traders near the new motel. It is available in a chest with raw ingredients.
Update #036 - EA 0.07.005
Hey survivor!
The end of the year is slowly but surely approaching. For us, this year was full of changes, reversals and unexpected events. Which was strongly reflected in the lower frequency of updates for our game.
When rather than smaller and frequent updates they came more complex but with a longer delay.
We firmly believe that the year 2022 will be better and that we will be able to start more frequent updates and also fulfill our plans with the game.
So today it brings you a new minor update that contains a few changes and news.
Creative mode has been fixed - it is now possible to run it again.
Wolves and bears can now be hit in the head, dealing more damage.
The frequency of attacks on your claimed poi resources has been reduced and they are no longer as common.
The garage has been given two new extensions and in total it is now possible to expand it to up to 10 positions.
Two new cars have been added to the game - these are not super fast or durable cars, but rather small vehicles for fun.
We are still working on tuning the RV car - so maybe soon;)
We want to thank you for your support and patience - thank you very much! Enjoy the game!
