Bugs & Fixes


What a launch. At the time we are writing this, we're sitting on 97% positive ratings on Steam. That. Is. Incredible. Thank you for all your support, your feedback and also for the bug reports and feature requests. We're working on a fresh patch for tomorrow (and also will update the console versions as we go, but keep in mind that each patch has to pass certifications first so that naturally takes a few days longer). Fixing various issues you have reported.

Mac Issues


We also fixed a critical bug for Mac Users... which then caused another issue sadly. Savegames did not sychronize correctly. We have fixed the issue but in some cases that might lead to issues with savegames in general. If you lost your savegame, please get in touch with us. There is a Workaround Thread in the Forums as well. If that does not work, please contact us.

Polishing Prices


We've checked the prices for Poland again. RIght now we can not adjust them while the Launch Discount is still active. We were using the regular Steam conversion rate. Turns out that the prices for Poland are too damn high (insert Meme here). We'll adjust these once the Launch Discount is gone and Steam allows us to do so.

Modding


The first Mods have arrived. We still will soon start looking into Workshop (right after the initial bugfixing phase). Please give us some time. When you post in the Forums about your Mods, please make sure to upload to websites we can verify easily (e.g. Nexus Mods). Otherwise we will have to remove the postings in first place to check them later on manually.

Additional Languages


That's kinda related to the mods. With the introduction of the Workshop system we plan to enable community translations. The sheer amount of words in Drova makes translations quite a challenge and rather expensive. And we want to have a certain quality level, so official translations... We will be looking into that. Another option we are currently discussing would be to buy out Community created translations. It's something we have to figure out along the way. We would love to support more languages, that's for sure.

Release, First Patch and livestreaming the next days

We fixed a bug that didn't allow you to give Tiaa the 10 Juicy Meat required for the quest Tiaa's Stew.
If you still have a problem with the quest, try to pick something up or consume something.
As soon as the inventory is changed it will work again. We are working on another fix for that.

If you have a soft- or deadlock, send us your savegame with F2 and we will repair it as quickly as possible and send it back to you. You can also join our Discord and we will help you directly on site.

We are also currently live 24/7 on Twitch and stream the time after the release. We're fixing bugs and talking about your feedback. Feel free to drop by!

DROVA IS OUT NOW

Greetings everyone!

The time has come. DROVA is out now. We hope you will enjoy your journey in this Otherworld which is now finally ready to murder you in so many ways. It feels like a journey coming to end - while it has just begun. Countless playtests, iterations, fixing sessions and feedback rounds during all these years. This is a very emotional day for us.

We want to thank all of you who believed in us. Without our community we wouldn't be where we are now. We want to thank our families, Our friends. Our partners. All the amazing people we've met along the way. The companies we've worked with. Thank you all so much.



What's Next?


Work hasn't ended. We're already working on some free additional Updates for the game. There are a few things we want to add along the way, such as a hardcore mode for experienced players.

And of course, depending on the success of the game, we would like to add more things, especially in terms of translations. We know we have a strong following in Poland for example. Considering the sheer amount of words in DROVA, translations can become quite a risk. However, we are looking into options such as community translations and possible partners.

Demo info + Livestreaming nonstop until release 🎥

Dear travelers: DROVA's release is getting closer and closer!
We’re hard at work wrapping things up and making those final tweaks.

With launch right around the corner, we’re focusing on getting everything ready, which means some changes won’t be in the demo, and we can’t guarantee save game compatibility for now.
So, we’ve decided to take down the demo (for now). We're giving you a few more hours before we pull the plug, so you can finish your quests before 8pm CEST tonight!

In the meantime, we definitely don’t want you to miss out on any DROVA content while we gear up for launch! So, we’ve come up with something exciting and (a little bit) crazy…

DROVA has a Release Date: October 15th!

Greetings Travelers!

The druids whispered about a promised land called DROVA, a new horizon they claim to be paradise. But you will learn the truth in October: This world is anything but a Utopia. Drova is a grim world where every man is for himself.

After more than six years of development, DROVA finally has a release date carved in stone: October 15th. During Gamescom countless people played the game on PC and Nintendo Switch (No worries, the game is also coming to Xbox und PlayStation) and the feedback was amazing. Even developers from the original Gothic stepped by and gave us some praise - and that was quite impressive for us.

We will have a last Closed Beta Test going on before release to fix minor issues which might be left but besides that, we're good to go!

Rise! Gamescom! Rise!

Dear travelers from the otherworlds, it's this time of the year again!

Gamescom has arrived. And we're, once again, at the Indie Arena Booth, showcasing Drova. One. More. Time. Feel free to visit us in Hall 10.2 and say hello, we'll be there till Sunday. With bleeding feet and joy in our bones. And the best thing: We're not showcasing a demo. We brought the full experience with us. Playable on PC and Nintendo Switch. And we'll open up a savegame just for Gamescom. And if you want to continue what other players achieved, feel free to do so...

And if you can't make it, we've got something new for you as well. We have finally updated our Demo for the game, introducing tons of improvements, visual upgrades, fixes and finetuned features. The demo contains roughly the first two hours of the game and shows the vision we're aiming for. And even if you played the last one, you might still want to take a look - we hope that we were able to polish the experience even more.

Also we're making now use of the new Steam feature for the Demo pages. Which means you can now actually leave a Review for the Demo:

Another Closed Beta und Gamescom

We have two exciting news:

  • We are at Gamescom 2024. If you want to meet us in person or play Drova with us, visit us there! :)
  • We will having a Closed Beta. Read more about that in the text below

Closed Beta
We are currently on the final stretch and because of porting we had to break some foundations of our code again so that Drova runs on all target platforms smoothly. This had some unfortunate side effects and we have tried to minimize them as much as possible. In order to get a clean release, we need you! We would like to do a Closed Beta here on Steam where ~15 people get access to Drova and can test the whole game for 2 weeks. We hope to get a lot of bugs and balancing feedback so that we can get a clean release soon.

Time frame for Closed Beta: 09.09.2024 to 22.09.2024
Estimated playtime as a tester: 40h+

Please note that we are looking for testers for a Closed Beta. This means that the game needs to be tested thoroughly. Therefore, please only apply if you really have time to test the game extensively. If you are interested, please write Chris a message on our Discord (https://discord.gg/FVz8Z4PRkC) before 02.09.2024. We will notify you on 04.09.2024 who will get access to the closed beta.

When will Drova be released?

The playtest gave us a lot of Feedback. We've also had some internal Closed Betas going on. And we can now confirm that Drova will release 2024. And we can even tell you a bit more...

Playtest extended until Sunday, June 17th!

We are amazed and surprised that so many of you have signed up to playtest Drova. We have received a lot of feedback and we have had many conversations about bugs and desired features. Thank you very much for your help.

We have received many kind words and these words give us strength to finish the last phase of Drova - the upcoming release.

It was originally planned that we would close the playtest on Wednesday, but since there are still so many registrations, we have decided to extend the playtest until Sunday 17 June 2024 and distribute another 150 keys.

Have fun with Drova and keep pressing F2 ingame for bugs and feedback!

The Drova Playtest is here!

Hey!

The time has come. We have finally invited the first players into the mysterious world of Drova. As we are a small team and we don't know exactly how much feedback we can expect, we've invited the first 100 players now. We will add more the coming days once we know how much feedback we get. This is the first time we're doing a playtest of that scale with our first game - so we need to be careful to not drown in feedback.


Those of you which have access now, feel free to enjoy the 8 - 10 hours of gameplay we've prepared for you. There are some known issues such as the fact that the English translation has not yet been corrected. But we think you'll enjoy your time.
