Dual Snake

Dual Snake goes Free-To-Play!

Dual Snake

Exactly 3 years, 8 months, 28 days ago, Dual Snake was launched. It took us one year and one month of development, and it was an amazing ride, tough, but amazing nonetheless. This past week, we made a decision: We decided that we would make Dual Snake free-to-play! It's a bold move, but a good one, as we develop our new game Primateria, we wanted that the people who know our work, get to know our first game as well since our lovely two-headed snake will be present in Primateria.

Skin and badge

Of course, for the people who had purchased the game before our change, they will receive a skin and a badge that goes next to their names. It's just a small token to thank all of you for supporting us.

For those that don't know yet, our two-headed snake is on Primateria, with a new art style, and it looks totally amazing!

We hope that you come with us in this new adventure, and have fun along the way! Much love <3

Portuguese Language Added!

Dual Snake is now available in Portuguese

Due to requests made by our brazilian and portuguese players, Dual Snake is now completely available in portuguese. The language of the game can be switched in the Options menu.

New Possibilities

The game was also prepared to receive translations for other languages, and we will be looking into adding those in the future.

Update 7.6 - Teleport blocks are here!

New block, new levels, new possibilities!

After a stream of bug fixes and patches, we're happy to announce the first major update for Dual Snake! From the very beginning our team has put all effort into creating dynamic objects that can fluidly interact with each other in Dual Snake. Our objective is to always create elements that combined can bring infinite possibilities, puzzles and play styles. It was with that in mind that we decided to implement the teleport block.

The brain killer puzzles require now even more engagement, careful thinking and, of course, motor skill to pass, as the teleport block creates a whole new experience for the game.

But unlike our previous updates, we wanted to shine more light into one of our favorite parts of the game: the community levels. Instead of releasing the new levels on the Story and Side levels, like we did in the last patch, we decided to implement the teleport block on the Level Editor, and release the new levels as Online Community Levels. We hope all of you enjoy making new levels with the new block as much as we do!

Patch Notes

Of course the new block is not the only new thing coming with version 7.6. We also took into account all the feedback you have sent us to make your gaming experience the best possible. This are the changes made with this new version:

  • Fixed memory leak with sounds.
  • Fixed a lot of physics interactions to better fit the teleport block
  • Removed song loop on side levels, online and level editor mode. Now a new, random song is selected to play when the current song finishes playing.
  • Fixed crashes, performance problems and screen fitting problems.
  • Fixed not being able to find levels searching by the creator's name if it was changed.
  • Added a notification pop-up to inform players of updates.

Have fun!

Story Levels and Patch Notes

Main and Side Levels

In order to improve the sense of progression in the Story Mode of Dual Snake, we decided to split the levels into Main and Side levels. The Main levels are the ones important in the story, while the Side ones are harder challenging levels.

This should allow more players to experience the story, while also allowing them to play harder levels if they desire. It also makes it so that multiple levels are accessible at once, so players can always try other levels if they are stuck in one.

There is also a brand new achievement for completing all Side levels.

Game Update: More Levels, More Difficult

On Game Length and Difficulty

A week ago we announced that a new update was coming to Dual Snake, concerning all the feedback we received on the game's current size and difficulty. In this update, we embraced all the feedback and added to the story what was clearly missing: depth and difficulty. For that, we added 51 more levels to the story, and we do hope it enhances the experience for both new and old players. In the new levels, we applied more focus on the skilled side of the game, with levels that depend on moving fast and precisely, along with the logical and strategic levels that are the name of the game.

Patch Notes and Important Updates

Important Announcement

First of all, we at Yfrit Games want to thank everyone who bought and played the game. We are very excited with all the positive feedback we've been receiving, and we are working and considering implementing other suggestions from the community.

On the other hand, based on the feedback received through Steam reviews and other media, it became appearent that, as it is, the game is way shorter than initially planned. As a result, we decided to expand the Story Mode with brand new levels, not only to enhance the experience for the new players, but also to make justice for all of you who felt it was cut short. Therefore, expect a new update on the upcoming days.

Finally, while all of you wait for the new levels, we encourage that you try the Level Editor and play the levels already available in the Online Mode.

Thanks for the attention.
