Duck Souls

1.0.7 is live!

Hi, everyone!

This is a very tiny update, i fixed i bug that was preventing the player from dashing if he was touching a yellow portal and i also updated a few sprites to better match the rest of the game art.

And that's it for now. Have a nice day, people! :)

1.0.6 is live!

Hi, everyone!

In this update i did two "major" changes in the basic game mechanics and a few enhancements in the level design of some levels. I tweaked the character gravity values, so it should give the player more time to react in air. I also reworked the wall jump system, so it should fill way more responsive in general, because now there's way less conditions preventing the character to perform a wall jump, and a 0.1 seconds forgiveness for input delay. There's only one more topic that i would like to cover, in this update i also added part of the Steam API, so we can add some achievements in the near future.

And that's it for now. Have a nice day, people! :)

1.0.4 is live!

Hi, everyone!

Yes, we already have a little update (sorry about that). I fixed a problem with the F12 key, which was being used to activate the developer console and take screenshots at the same time, which could cause some weird behaviours. I also removed the 7 seconds music played when the player die, because it could become really annoying after a few deaths, the game over music was replaced by a simple 8-bit splash sound.

And that's it for now. Have a nice day, people! :)

Duck Souls is released!

Hi, everyone!

I’m really happy to announce that Duck Souls is finally released and it’s available for everyone worldwide. It took me around six months of work and i hope it was worth it, because i’m trying really hard to become a good indie game developer. I had an amazing time making and supporting Pinkman, and i’m looking to have the same experience with Duck Souls.

I personally consider Duck Souls an improvement compared to Pinkman, i learned a lot since i made it and there are many cool new features in Duck Souls, like: the keybinding system, which was a highly requested features from Pinkman players; a per level death counter, just for fun; an original soundtrack, Pinkman had great songs, but they were all taken from royalties free music websites (nothing illegal); and many more cool things!

Duck Souls is definitely a complete a game, but i’m not planning to stop now, i’ll add 20 or 40 new levels to the game via free updates, because i’m really thankful to everyone who is supporting me by buying my games, so that’s my way to say “Thank you! Have some free extra content. :)”.

But even complete games usually have a few problems, so i’ll do my best to fix them if they exist. Me and my friends tested this game a lot, and we’re very confident that it’s completely stable, but If you do find any bug in Duck Souls, open a discussion here on Steam explaining how to reproduce the bug, so i can take to note of it and fix it ASAP. I check my Steam account everyday, so it should not take more than two days to release any needed update.

Well, guess i already said a lot, it’s time for you to say what you think about Duck Souls, so please leave a comment and let’s plan the future of this game together! :)

BTW, thank you very much for the time you spent playing Pinkman, and for the time you plan to spent playing Duck Souls, i’ll never be able to show you how thankful i’m for your amazing support! :pinkneonheart:
