Defenders! We're proud to announce the Defenders of Etheria Kickstarter campaign is LIVE until May 18th!
By backing the game on Kickstarter, you can take advantage of early-bird discounts, franchise-wide game and DLC bundles and earn backer-exclusive rewards for both Defenders of Etheria AND Dungeon Defenders 2!
It’s about time the Old One’s Army played defense! Enraged by the death of his father at the hands of the Harbinger, the Prince of Dragonfall has enlisted Etheria’s mightiest heroes to lead a crusade against the Old One’s Army.
Defenders of Etheria won’t be your traditional tower-defense game (not that Dungeon Defenders was very traditional to begin with), but a cooperative, rogue-lite bullet-heaven with all the added charm and stoicism of your favorite mostly-silent protagonists!

Greetings, Defenders! Your eyes do not deceive you, and no, this isn't an early April fool's joke. Begining this weekend, March 28th at 10:00 AM (EST) to April 2nd, you'll find almost everything in the Emporium 50% off, and you'll earn double Defender Pass experience!
With Player Shops still tax-free until April 8th, we dare say there's no better time to play. Of course, if all these benefits still don't sate your dungeon-defending desire, be sure to check out the original Dungeon Defenders. You can find the game and its DLC up to 50% off until April 5th, and the Dungeon Defenders: Ultimate Collection sees its largest discount ever; a staggering 80%!
Greetings, Defenders! Player Shops have been re-enabled in our most recent hotfix, and the merchants guild has waived the Etherian Tax applied to Player Shops for the next two weeks in celebration!
We appreciate your patience and understanding while Player Shops were disabled. It's our mission to uphold the integrity and ensure the longevity of Dungeon Defenders 2, and—in addressing ongoing issues involving player trading—it was necessary to do so. Please enjoy this benefit on our behalf until April 8th.

Announcing Defenders of Etheria!
Greetings, Defenders! Today, we have something exceptionally exciting to share with you—a new game announcement; Defenders of Etheria!
What is Defenders of Etheria?
Defenders of Etheria won’t be your traditional tower-defense game (not that Dungeon Defenders was very traditional to begin with), but a cooperative, rogue-lite bullet-heaven with all the added charm and stoicism of your favorite mostly-silent protagonists!
It’s about time the Old One’s Army played defense! Enraged by the death of his father at the hands of the Harbinger, the Prince of Dragonfall has enlisted Etheria’s mightiest heroes to lead a crusade against the Old One’s Army.
Venture solo or team up with up to three allies to one of Etheria’s many fantastical, contested grounds. Face unrelenting waves of the Old One’s Army and earn experience, runes and equipment as enemies are slain. These rewards may be bolstered by completing random, optional objectives that arise during the mission, and by defeating admittedly less optional, much scarier bosses! Upon successfully completing a mission, return to the hub to spend your riches upgrading your equipment, recruiting new pets, and honing your heroes’ skills to aid you on future endeavors!
Remember, this content is very early in development and subject to change substantially between now and release!
Launching Soon on Kickstarter!
Defenders of Etheria will be coming soon to Kickstarter! If you'd like to be the first to know when we launch, visit our Prelaunch Page to sign up for email notifications.
Additionally, you may find more information on how to unlock an early-supporter exclusive Sapphire Betsy pet for Defenders of Etheria!

If you're as excited as we are about Defenders of Etheria, you're probably brimming with questions! Not to worry, we're going to address some of the most prominent ones right up top;
When's the Kickstarter? Soon™. If all goes to plan, you can expect Defenders of Etheria to launch on Kickstarter within the next few weeks.
When can I play Defenders of Etheria? That's the spirit! Our current plan is to release Defenders of Etheria into early-access sometime this year, either Q3 or Q4 2025, although this is subject to change as needed.
What platforms can we expect Defenders of Etheria to release on? We plan to release Defenders of Etheria on PC, with full Steam Deck support as a stretch goal.
How will Defenders of Etheria be monetized? Defenders of Etheria will be a one-time purchase priced similarly to other survivors-like games. Depending on interest, there's potential for DLC expansions.
How will this affect the development of other Dungeon Defenders titles? In short, it wont! Development of Defenders of Etheria is being handled by a team sperate from those of our other titles.
Of course, there will be questions that we don't have listed here, and you can expect a more thorough FAQ alongside the launch of our Kickstarter page. Additionally, you can send us your questions through any of our social media channels, listed below!

The Festival of Hearts
Greetings, Defenders! Today—among the reactivation of Player Shops and a slew of bug fixes—we're introducing a new seasonal event; the Festival of Hearts!
This modest, but nevertheless lovely limited-time event sees the introduction of Violet Marygold, a new vendor who sells event-unique consumables, as well as the introduction of the Cupid Hunter costume and Valentine accessories!
The Festival of Hearts will run through March 11th.
Additionally, with the reintroduction of Player Shops, we'll be holding a tax-free event until February 16th AND double Defender Pass XP over the weekend; February 15th and 16th.
Violet Marygold's Valentine Shop
Etheria is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you're gonna get. One moment it could be raining loot, and the next, exploding Kobolds! Thankfully, with the aid of Violet Marygold's concussive cupcakes and speed-boosting chocolate strawberries, Defenders will be well-equipped to conquer any opposition that besets them this Valentine's season.
Event Consumables
Violet Marygold can be found in the Tavern and Town Hub selling Festival of Hearts Crates. These can be purchased once each day for 100 gold, and contain a variety of consumables that—for 60 minutes—grant a powerful effect;
Chocolate Strawberry - The impending sugar rush after consuming one of these increases movement speed by 25% and ability power by 10%.
Chocolate Heart - Instantly revives the hero after death. Can only occur once every 80 seconds.
Cupcake - Causes basic Attacks to have a 25% chance to stun, and you deal 25% more damage to enemies effected by crowd control.
Rose - Upon taking damage, reflects 100% of you max heath back to the attacker.
Teddy Bear - The comfort this bear brings increases Heath by 10%, armor by 25%, and when struck, increase your hero damage by 15% for 3 seconds.
