I was curious about what players felt about the challenge my games bring (mainly the Dungeon Nightmares difficulty).
When I was making the sequel, the game was a lot easier (in my mind) but during the final weeks of development, I made the choice to make it harder, more challenging, and stay true to itself. I still firmly believe that this was the right decision.
However, as I in the process of designing my next game (unannounced) I wanted to through a quick poll out there about difficulty.
Here are the results of the poll on Twitter after 24 hours:
33% Make it harder, I'm crazy
44% Don't change a thing
23% Too much of a nightmare
The results seem to agree with my original feelings that players like the challenge my games bring. However, feel free to keep discussing this here or in the forums here :)
It's been just over a week since releasing Dungeon Nightmares II on Steam and I am happy to see players enjoying the game.
Since the release, I have been fixing a few bugs and adjusting a few difficult areas of the game. Patch 1.02 that was released today also updates the game to include a new Options area on the Main Menu where you can adjust a few controls settings and toggle V-Sync.
So what next for Dungeon Nightmares? I don't know. I have a few ideas that I want to do... maybe a small treat for fans around Halloween :) but lets see how things go!
After that, I want to go back to my Oculus Rift and get some stuff done. That will be exciting.
Lastly, thank you to everyone that bought the game.

Hi all
Just wanted to let everyone know that VR Support is still in the works and not forgotten.
Many of you may not have seen the old prototype I tested here:

As originally announced when I first talked about VR Support, it was always going to be a patch down the line and would not hold back the release date of the full game. Now that the game is out, VR Support is being looked at again full time :)
