Dungeon Overseer's journey through early access has been fun! The transition from paid to free is our way of getting it into a broader audiences hands so more people can enjoy our labor of love. We appreciate everyone who helped craft Dungeon Overseer into a fun experience and look forward to everyones feedback on it's full release!

Thank you for your support. If you enjoy the game we appreciate all feedback and DLC purchases! Also, don't forget to follow our publisher page for future content updates.

Dungeon Overseer Transition To Free

Hello Everyone!

When Dungeon Overseer first started the goal was to make something fun for everyone to enjoy. Some missteps in launch tags and some multi-language support issues have lead it down a road that isn't where we thought it would be. Rather than slowly lowering price over time we really just want to open up access for the game to be enjoyed by the community. With this at heart we have decided to make Dungeon Overseer and all content it contains free as of 12/20/21. We appreciate the support as we've gone through early access thus far and hope you in turn have enjoyed your experience.

We will be adding some DLC donation support packs for those who wish to show their appreciation and we also just appreciate you taking the time to enjoy this labor of love. Further updates will be posted as this transition happens and new things occur. Happy holidays

New Content: Traps, yelps, and finances!

Traps, Yelps, and Finances Update

Hello everyone! Happy to announce a new content update is now available for Dungeon Overseer. In this update we focused on adding new requested content and making some adjustments to balance. We appreciate everyone who has played Dungeon Overseer so far and look forward to hearing how you are enjoying the new content and changes.

New Feature: Traps

Traps have been added to Dungeon Overseer! There are 5 different traps each costing a different single rare resource to create. They can be placed prior to combat or during combat with a small delay before activation(this makes it so you can also use them like spells during combat). There are a variety of effects, single trigger damage, triple trigger damage, damage all enemies, and snare enemy.

New Feature: Minion Smacking

Minion smacking has been added and while it doesn't effect gameplay it is amusing. Clicking on any minion or goblin will now result in a "smack" which will make them yelp or groan. Excessive smacking can result in the occasional laugh or jibe from the overlord(he takes pleasure in your minions suffering).

Balance Changes

After reading the forums and communicating with players we have made a series of changes to balance and gameplay that will result in a smoother and more entertaining experience.

The Forge
Crafting times have been adjusted on all ingot tiers. This is to address lower tier ingots accessibility.

  1. Copper Ingots now 3 seconds to craft
  2. Blackiron Ingots now 6 seconds to craft
  3. Ethereum Ingots now 9 seconds to craft
  4. Demonic Ingots now 12 seconds to craft
  5. Soulsteel Ingots now 15 seconds to craft

The Raids
Raiding rewards were lackluster in the early game balance. To improve this and to improve the accessibility of lower tier ingots, rare rewards have been increased. Previously a raiding minion finding a rare reward would result in 2 rare ingots of their corresponding tier. Now based on the "tier" of the minion raiding rare rewards are as follows.

  1. Goblin Berserker will now find 5 Copper Ingots each time it discovers a rare opportunity
  2. Fallen Knights will now find 4 Blackiron Ingots each time it discovers a rare opportunity
  3. Flame Lords will now find 3 Ethereum Ingots each time it discovers a rare opportunity
  4. Lich Kings will now find 2 Demonic Ingots each time it discovers a rare opportunity
  5. Dark Lords will now find 2 Soulsteel Ingots each time it discovers a rare opportunity

Other Changes
Continuing to improve balance and squash bugs, we have added and changed the following:

  1. The trader now will purchase your unused research points in quantities of 500
  2. Research speed has been slightly reduced
  3. Minor menu glitches have been fixed
  4. Added new sound effects to goblins
  5. Minor adjustments to golem run speeds

We look forward to hearing from the community on these new additions! Thank you for your feedback and ideas, have fun!
