Preview Update v2.0: Main Menu #1

We have built a new main screen lobby that replaces the old style of a of an options style screen with UI. In this version you can interact with areas which include the following: to access your crafting, customise classes/character, Check inventory, Skilltrees, check leaderboards and of course the mission select. There are now new robot's that exist within this base, some roam while others will just stand in areas. You can approach and talk to them, they will respond with something about the dungeon and their constant quest to find crystals, they will help show a bit more of the story behind Dungeons and Robots.

Also members of your guild will appear in the main menu so you can see who is online and what they are doing within the main lobby. We hope that this update will help bring more of an immersive experience to the player in which they can become more involed with the world of Dungeons and Robots.

Hi All!



We know that we have been away for some time, and we apologies for keeping you all in the dark. Due to the vast responses we have received we had to go away for some time and to think over our strategy, but one thing has stayed the same the same, our passion for Dungeons and Robots. In this period but we have been hard at work to make things better for Dungeons and Robots, this isn’t the end but the beginning of the final stretch in our stage of production for this project so it is time to unveil all of our hard work!

Glow Games Studio would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their time and feedback, we massively appreciate anything suggested by the community as this is the thing that allows for any indie game to become successful. Everything that is said we have gone through and discussed how we can improvements in these areas and what approach is best to carry foreword. A lot suggestions you have given us has had incredible impact on the development of the game and although at times it may seem as if we might not been listening we can assure you that we have.

So, whats next? We are going to give weekly updates on the changes that we have been making. These will be small bitesized post's to make it easier to digest for the reader. Instead of previously what was more of a bug check off list. This approach is to help as we lead up to the Beta launch 2.0. Quick highlight over the changes we have made: the game is built to be more stable now, there should be less “lag” and FPS dropping. Rebuilt the AI system so now the enemies are more “intelligent”. A vast optimisation has taken place, areas of clipping have been removed, unnecessary memory has been reduced, so that a lot more machines can now play it smoothly.

We hope that you all continue to follow and support us and we will do our best to make sure to listen to everyone. MAJOR UPDATE! VERSION 1.3 IS OUT!

Patch 1.3 - Published 27 - September 2016

Survival



A new mode has been included in that version. It is called survival and it is an endless chain of dungeons.

The dungeons are still random generated and from now at all of them there is one type of quest to complete. At the completion of a dungeon you are lead to the next one which can be a mission dungeon again or a boss dungeon. You are taking rewards by completing each dungeon though you will take all the exps when you finish the mode.

Depending how many players and the difficulty you will play you will have certain amount of respawns and when someone dies without having respawns left the mode is over and the exps are given

The Open Test Branch and 1.3 Preview !!

So we have made a branch which is available for everyone and right now has a lot of fixes and updates that are for the next patch. Why don't we just release it you say at the normal version? Well we could but his way we give the opportunity for people to test what is coming and getting a better feedback for the creation of the main patch.

So in order to get into the batch you need to find the game at your steam app at your library and right click on it and select Properties. Then at the window that will open go at the tab BETAS and at the "beta you would like to opt into" you should select "open-test". After that the patch for the version of the game will download and you are ready to try it

New Patch Out! 1.2.1 New Dungeons and more!!!

Hello everyone!

Great news are upon you, but first we must apologise for the delay of the patch 1.2.1!
Thank you all for the support you've shown and you continue to show to us!
We are back stronger than ever and with great news!

The patch 1.2.1 will include:


  • New dungeon!
  • New enemies!
    Explore more and be challenged by our new dungeon!





  • PVP mode! 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 4 vs 4
  • Re-build the dungeon (changed the construction method) and also all the rooms are now more complicated! (corridor length reduced to 1/3)
  • The amount of enemies is increased, making the dungeons a bit more difficult
  • Added new calculation methods for Damage, Health etc. Both for players and enemies.
  • 3 new Challenge Missions
  • Crafts now require craft level and not player level in order to make items
  • You can now access options menu while you are in Mission
  • Added 2 new image effects.
  • Added toggle option in order to hide/show enemies healthbars/players second healthbar.
  • Added "secret" areas inside the dungeons for more action!
  • New abilities on enemies
  • Offhand items! (only 4 for now: multi-missile launcher, minigun, energy -health regenerator
  • Optimized light and texture data

Patch 1.2 Huuuuge patch coming ! PvP and many more! ETA ~26/4

First i would like to say a big thanks to everyone so your support,we are working on the new major update which will be now version 1.2 and will be up in the next 3 days.

Some of the features we working are:

  • PVP mode!! 1vs1.2vs2,4vs4.
  • Re-build the dungeon (change the cosntruction method ) and also all the rooms now are more complecated (Length of corridors now are reduced to 1/3)
  • Increased the amount of enenies
  • Added new calcucation method for Damage, Health etc... for players and enemies also
  • Added 3 challenge Missions
  • Crafts now required craft level and not player level to craft items
  • You can now access Options menu while you are in Mission
  • Added 2 new image effects

Patch 1.05 Out Now. New UI - Effects and more!

Again, a big thansk to all the players, for the feedback the provide us so we can make the game better.Let us know if you have any issues or suggestions.

Here are the fixes to some of the issues raised today by the community.

Fixes:

  • Major fix: New player login stuck on loading screen
  • Major fix: Lag Issue, minimized required network connections by 70%
  • Major fix: Chat connection issue when you join a guild
  • Major fix: Craft was showing a generetic item
  • Major fix: Xbox 360 controller is now working correctly for Windows

  • Minor Fix: Corridor spawns and collisions

  • Elevator’s speed is now increased
  • FireStorm added delay 1.5 second
  • Follower life is now calculated correctly
  • Support skills stuck after death
  • Mages damage reduced
  • Fireball damage reduced
  • Change the method for server connection
  • Bosses change attack characteristics
  • Fireballs change base speed
  • Change explosion trigger time from 2.2 seconds to 0.2 seconds

  • Golem Types now have higher chance (33%) to stun, and increased speed
  • Environment Changes on 3 rooms

  • Guild: You can see the connection status for each guild member (Offline, Online, In Lobby)
  • Add more types of mages (AoE, healers, boosters)
  • Added 2 new Dungeon Corridors


Known Issues:

  • The conquer map areas will be fixed in 1.04 version
