Hello! It's been fun watching DunkRatz be out in the wild for the last month and we decided to make a few small tweaks to the game with our first patch.
Patch Notes:
Single player Practice Mode added: Don't have any friends around but want to work on your skills and practice using items? Start up a match by yourself and practice your skills without the pressure of other players being in the match.
Framerate cap added: Last week we discovered a bug in the game where extremely high framerates caused sluggish controls. So we set the target framerate to 144fps to avoid this issue.
Fixed score UI covering up the pause menu: If you pause right after a goal is scored the scorebox no longer appears on top of the pause menu.
Setting game or music volume to 0 will now properly display on a game start-up: There was an issue where the game didn’t properly display the sound settings if the number was set to 0 that is now fixed.
Changed default score limit from 10 to 5 for 1v1: We love 1v1 matches but feel that a score limit of 5 is a little better than 10 since goals are a little harder to score in 1v1. You are still free to adjust the score limit back up to 10 or all the way down to 1 in the rules settings though.
Cheese Cannon reminder GUI added in: We added back in the GUI from the beta of flashing arrows to remind players to bump into the refrigerators when the cheese cannons are active to spawn the next piece of cheese.

DunkRatz wins Best in Show at SFGE2019 and gets a new release date!
We had a fantastic time at the Southern Fried Gaming Expo this past weekend and met a lot of very friendly fans and fellow Indie Developers. It is a huge honor to have DunkRatz win Best in Show there. We'd also like to congratulate Red Ink Inc for their game Parallel also winning Best in Show. And of course a huge shout-out to all the other awesome Indie Devs at the show that we got to meet. It was a blast!
It was so cool to see people discover the game and come back to the booth again and again to keep playing the game. We got a ton of great positive feedback on the game and ultimately made the decision to push the release date back a little bit to September 4th to give us some extra time to squash some new bugs we found and polish up the whole experience with some nice quality of life improvements that we all on the team agreed the game should have before being made available for everyone to download.
We love DunkRatz and can't wait to make it as good as possible and share it with you all.
In the meantime please follow us on twitter @pinkhousegames to stay up-to-date on the game's development. Thanks for following DunkRatz!
