Dwarven Skykeep | Tips & Tricks #8
Hello there, magicians!
It’s been a while since the last post, but it is definitely worth it.
Today it’s not Dr.Kness, who is sharing his immense knowledge with us, but rather we share our knowledge about him and some of the characters of the Dwarven Skykeep, whom you encounter pretty much at the very start of the game.
He is an archmage (“archmage” in this case stands for “mage-architect”), he is a leading specialist in the construction of magical block towers as well as a doctor of magical sciences.
Prior to the invasion of the Goblin horde (which we will cover at a later date) Dr.Kness primarily was a desk researcher. His focus was dwarven culture and an unending search for the traces of the mythical Skykeep.
Despite the skepticism of the academic community regarding this search, the Magistrate is still somewhat favorable to the by-products of his studies - a smart design of a levitron in particular. This device that allows one to rise into the sky, has gained some approval in scientific circles.
However, there are many who consider Dr.Kness a naive eccentric who is looking for imaginary castles in the clouds instead of doing more “earthly” useful work.
Lucretio the Incredible - will be the one who introduces Dr.Kness to the magical properties of mirrors he has in his shop. Which will come in handy for extensive traveling that Sevendar has to do.
Lucretio himself is an illusionist who has absolutely no magical gift, not even a tiny bit. To his credit, there is a huge number of fair performances of varying degrees of success and life situations of varying degrees of instructiveness.
He settled in the City of Dwarves quite recently and for some reason decided to start selling mirrors there, but unfortunately to no avail. Since then he lost interest in any activity, except for drinking, usually spending almost all his time in the Tavern, which is one of the more popular destinations in the city.
But since the arrival of Dr.Kness, something has changed. Now Lucretio, confirming the reputation of a professional illusionist, somehow manages to be in two places at once - in the Tavern, sipping his favorite beer and in the Mirror Shop, where he trades (however unsuccessful it may be).
Lucretio-in-the-tavern is sad and shabby, while Lucretio-the-salesman is fresh, wears a synthetic beard and has a high-pitched voice.
He likes to talk about adventures, magic (even though he can’t use it), battles and heroism. This is most definitely not two dwarven kids named Luke and Rezion, hiding under a cloak, standing on one another’s shoulders - not at all. Absolutely not.
Last, but far from the least, comes the Raven. Who is at Dr.Kness side right from the very begging of our story.
He is possibly the only one of the bunch who takes his duty seriously. Like other ravens, he has no name. There is also a theory that each raven is a part of an inter-world raven cluster. He is here alone because a conspiracy of crows somehow looks ominous.
Do you know that a group of ravens is called a “conspiracy”? Really makes you think.

Dwarven Skykeep | Tips & Tricks #7
Welcome, magicians, to the latest Tips & Tricks!
Dr.Kness is back with a little bit more information about the game.
By this point, we talked plenty about cards (i.e. spells) that require mana to function.
Today we’ll cover mana in more detail.
Crystal Room is what you use to generate mana.
One important note: the higher or lower (relating to the ground level) you place it - the more mana you will generate per day. Try bot to put it on the ground level unless you absolutely need to.
After you get enough mana you can use it in several ways:
Use it on Vortex to get combat spells. Putting extra mana cards into the vortex will speed up the process.
Use it on Library to get support spells.
You can read more about some of the spells that are in the game in our previous post.
That is all for today's post. Next, we'll dive deeper into the lore behind the game.

We are once again back with Dr.Kness and his scrolls of knowledge.
Today we’ll cover some of the spells available in the game. Rest assured - there are plenty of other spells to come in the full release.
First of all - to get spells you will need mana and to get mana you will need to build Magic Crystal. Note, that Crystal will produce more mana the higher or deeper it is placed inside of the tower.
There are two types of spells - support and combat. The former is like tools you get from a workshop, but it is spells instead of tools.
Support spells you get from the Library.
Two available support spells are Good Weather and Wallbreaker.
Good Weather is very simple. Imagine that you are only starting to build your tower and the rooftop is not there yet and it starts raining. If you cast this spell it will make clouds go and the rain stop.
Wallbreaker works the same way the Crowbar tool does, but with a twist. You can make holes on all walls of the selected room so you can continue expanding the tower in whatever direction you want.
As for combat spells - you get them from Magical Vortex.
For fighting the goblin menace you can use Fireball or Explosion.
Fireball is a good-old spell of any respectable wizard. Target goblin and burn him down
The Explosion can hit multiple targets and can also be used instead of dynamite, so be careful when using it near your tower.
That is it for now, see you in the next post, when we’ll cover more information about the game!
We’d also be very happy to see you on our other social media or if you consider adding us to your wishlist.
See you next time and many thanks to you for joining us on this magical journey!
