Tomorrow, at this same hour (17 GMT/12EST) The FIRST multiplayer test will begin. The test will run for 24 hours, and on that time, the greyed out Multiplayer mode will be unlocked and working with Steam.
This is the first of all multiplayer tests, and expect it to be buggy, VERY buggy.
The dev will be in the steam community chat-room. You can join to speak directly.
These are the details:
One type of enemies, the Skeleton with a sword. They will scale in amount AND strenght the more the game goes. They will be much stronger than the same type of skeleton in singleplayer to balance several people.
4 People max per server.
Only the Assault Rifle and the Shotgun as weapons
PvP damage disabled
The test will be only on the map Argendnor.
Any player will be able to host a match, and every player will be able to join. There is a early version of a Server Browser, wich just shows every single match that is happening. There is no friend list, or any way to create a private match.
No VoIP or communication of any kind in-game.
Scoring will be ( Damage done + bonus for lasthitting a monster)
Player avatars are limited, they will not have a full body, just flying hands and a head. No customization.
Hosts will be able to perform a bunch of "cheats" using hotkeys. The list will be added to the update log once the test is up.
2016-12-18 minor Update: Bugfixes
Update logs for today. This is a small "incremental" update.
Fixed bug where the drones would stop spawning at round 2.
Fixed bug where the necromancer boss (easy and medium) would kill himself
Decreased the time needed for the assault rifle to become accurate after firing.
Enemies wont give score anymore if they are already dead.
Moved the healthbar slightly down so low FOV users will be able to see it better.
Minor performance improvements.
2016-12-16 Update: LEADERBOARDS phase 1, and improved performance.
Leaderboards
Today, the first phase of Leaderboards is in. Now, every time you finish a Drone Assault game, or a Shooting Gallery game, your score will get recorded. It happens automatically.

They are only in this 2 modes, and cant be seen in-game. Next update will add actual in-game leaderboards that you will be able to see, like the ones in VRMultigames.
Performance improvements
Performance has been improved from the last update. UE4 settings have been actualized, and some LOD and light improvements on the maps allow for higher performance. MSAA antialiasing is out, it conflicts with the changes. But the higher performance allows you to increase the render multiplier more. We recomend using the Temporal antialiasing mode (TXAA) plus a render multiplier as high as your GPU allows.
In the case you have problems with the new update, we have created a public branch of the game, with name "last_version". You can switch to it from the branches tab on the steam properties of the game.

We will keep developing the game, and fixing the issues players report.

1st Multiplayer Test
We also use this announcement to talk about the 1st multiplayer test.
The test will be in the day Wednesday 21th of December (next week). During the test, we will enable the multiplayer mode, but with heavy restrictions. The details of such test will be on the final test announcement.
