Ryan's Pack is a collection of games created exclusively for physical media.

Although digital marketplaces are all the rage and these games have debuted on such services, there's simply nothing like being able to grab a game off of your shelf and look at the case! Popping the disc into your computer to play is also a real treat.

Ryan's Pack is a genuine CD-ROM that contains an installer for the package, as well as a uniquely designed launcher that presents the games in an interactive and eloquent fashion.

The games included are:

Dynamite Alex

Missileman Origins

Garrison Gauntlet

Ice Cream Factory

Android versions of Dynamite Alex and Ice Cream Factory are also included on the disk. If you have an Android device, you'll be able to play these games on the go!

This CD-ROM works on Windows computers ranging from Windows XP all the way to Windows 10. Performance on modern hardware may vary, though.

It is highly recommended you download the demos featured on the games' respective pages to test their performance on your system before you buy.

Games may also not be able to save if you play them from the launcher due to the C:\ directories not willing to generate new files. This can be remedied by changing the security settings in the directory folder (If your computer will allow you to do that) or by copying and pasting the game files to a folder outside the C:\ directories and launching them in the new destination you give them. The launcher won't launch them if they are moved, but you'd be able to play them with saves intact if you do move them.

Android version now included!

Believe it or not, Dynamite Alex was ported to Android devices in 2014. This is thanks to the help of Zachary Wiebe and NovaWare, who were much more knowledgable on porting to smartphones than I ever was. However, distribution of the APK was fairly limited. There were only so many that even knew it existed, and it disappeared from Google Play along with some other games I've put up there for reasons unknown.

So, I decided to throw it into this Steam release as the newest update for the game! Clicking Play on Steam will boot up the regular PC version, but if you go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dynamite Alex" on your computer, you will now be able to see a Dynamite Alex folder instead of just an .exe for the PC game. Included in the folder is the .exe, but also an .apk you can put directly on your Android-based phone or tablet. This, of course, will allow you to play the game right on your device.

There are certain differences you'll be able to spot in this version of the game. For instance, there is now a world select; you can pick any of the game's seven worlds that you've been able to reach. Each of the game's fourteen levels is also separated into two parts, and going to the next part fully heals you. The roll has also been mapped to its own button, so you don't have to worry about accidental rolls on the touch screen. In fact, sliding your thumb up after jumping can make for some good mid-air roll maneuvers!

This update is a free bonus for anyone that already owns the game, and if you play games on your phone, you may find this to be of intrigue~

Making a new game - And it needs your support!!

Hi, everyone. This is Ryan Silberman, and I am trying something new. Rather than make another platform-shooter, I am now at work on a story-based adventure game with rhythm elements in the mix. You can find out more about it in the Kickstarter link below this GIF, and you can also PLAY it via a playable demo on the page!!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/415688969/mystery-of-melody-memorial?ref=user_menu

Mystery of Melody Memorial is a video game for Windows (from XP all the way to 10!) computers and Android devices.

The game is an original title inspired by the likes of Paper Mario (particularly Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door) and PaRappa the Rapper, with elements of other titles such as Undertale and Mario & Luigi possibly in the mix

This is an adventure title with an imaginative world and an emphasis on storytelling and world-building (a la Paper Mario). However, whereas RPG games would feature turn-based battles, Mystery of Melody Memorial will instead have "song battles", which play out in ways similarly to PaRappa. The adventure will be three to four hours long, but elements of replayability grant players the opportunity to discover more than the mainline path could offer. Side-quests allow for more to accomplish, which in turn unlock secrets that would otherwise remain unseen. There will also be an Arcade mode unlockable after beating the main game; the mode will consist entirely of all the major "song battles" from throughout the adventure.

The story and character interactions will feature a blend of genuine emotion and genuine humor. The world contains a diverse cast of characters with unique personalities. From eroding in a swamp filled with shady activity to playing at a driving range with a sensei, the journey can be fairly unpredictable. After all, even with music playing a significant role in this lifetime populated by elaborate characters, it's still a dangerous world out there...especially if you don't know where to turn....

Missileman Origins is now OUT!!

Hello, everybody that's reading this! This is Ryan Silberman, and in recent months, I have finally released my newest game, Missileman Origins. This game is built with a similar mold to that of Dynamite Alex, except with even bigger levels and even bigger varieties of enemies and obstacles to face! There is even a playable demo on the store page if you're on the fence!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/461280/

Here's the official description for the game:

Missileman Origins is a retro-esque action-platformer set in a world where robots and humans co-exist as civilians. Missileman himself is a humble bot that wishes he could, one day, become a hero. He knows he has the potential to be one, but it's never fully realized just how capable he would be. His father, Dr. James Qworp, is one among a few scientists to bring together a particular group of robots (Missileman included) to set up the first ever school for them! Things don't quite go as planned, as chaos occurs when both the scientists and bots least expect it. Could Missileman be the one to keep things under control and find out where evil is being generated?

The gameplay itself consists of running, jumping, and shooting, as well as whatever else would occur throughout the game's levels.
And when the game doesn't focus on the action and gameplay, it will bring various characters and personality to the spotlight with dialogue exchanges and cutscenes all utilizing text boxes. There will be six levels, each with a solid length, variety (as well as the in-game ABSO Robo High school to explore) and many other surprises!

-SIX WIDE, ACTION-PACKED LEVELS AND BOSSES!!
-INTERACT WITH OTHER CHARACTERS AND OBJECTS!!
-EXPLORE AND FIND HIDDEN SECRETS!!
-ONLY $1.99 - TRADING CARDS AND OTHER COMMUNITY ITEMS INCLUDED!!

Note: If you use gaming controllers, it is recommended to use a program (such as Joy-to-Key) to manually configure support for this game.

New game in Greenlight - Tetro High

Hey there, everybody that's reading this! As I've been continuing work on my upcoming platform-shooter game, Missileman Origins, I figured I'd drop a new Greenlight entry for a game that's very much unlike that or Dynamite Alex. Enter Tetro High: The Official Tetromino Dating Sim!

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=804974349

"From the creator of Dynamite Alex and Missileman Origins comes a game that isn't a platform-shooter! Instead, it's a dating simulator with BLOCKS! Coming soon to Steam and Android devices in 2017, Tetro High: The Official Tetromino Dating Simulator features a cast of literally colorful characters and an epic (and hilarious) storyline that gamers all over the globe could sink their puzzle game addictions into!

You are BUTTFACE, a block that wishes to be something more, but as is, you're just an average tetromino. And you enroll in a high school with a bunch of other tetrominos! Get to know them a little! Engage in conversation with talking blocks! More importantly, be careful. Something is about to go down, and noblocky knows about it yet. Become the coolest kid around the block, find your true love, and uncover the eerily mysterious...mystery!

The game will be priced merely at $1.99"

Feel free to hop on over to the Greenlight page and tickle that "Yes" button!

Trading Cards, Profile Backgrounds, and Emoticons should be out now!

They've finally been approved for release, so have at it and try to gather up some community items!

Trading Cards, Emoticons, and Profile Backgrounds coming soon!

Hi, everyone reading this! This is a short, but significant announcement. In the distant future, there will indeed be some Steam community items for Dynamite Alex! These include trading cards, profile backgrounds, and emoticons!

They're not out yet since I'm still having a bit of a problem with the profile backgrounds, but rest assured they are coming!

Controller support! And a few littler things

Hello, everybody that is reading this! While I am not usually fond of having to provide updates for a game I've finished, I decided it was for the best to give Dynamite Alex a bit of a touch-up in areas people have often addressed.

First the important thing!
-Controller support is now a thing!-
Those of you wanting to use a controller now can! The input for Dynamite Alex is Direct Input. Now, if I weren't an honest person, I would say that controller support is completely implemented as intended and has had no problems during testing. The only problem is I am honest, and I actually don't have a PC controller of my own since I typically just use the keyboard to play stuff on my laptop. Evidently, that may sound crazy to you guys since I've been asked to provide said controller support.

With that said, I am going to need vocal players' feedback to see if the controller controls are accurate.

The Dinput controller mappings are:

-Moving left and right should be self-explanatory
-Button 1 is to jump
-Button 2 is to shoot
-Button 3 is to pause

This update for Dynamite Alex also has a few smaller, subtle features in the levels. The following changes were made:

-The Simulator world's (aka the first two levels) background decorations have been darkened a tad so it's clearer they cannot be interacted with. The weirder parts of it have been removed, so the decorations are either plain or with a tree (except for the castle at the end of level 2 - that is still there)
-That cramped purple area in the first level is completely gone and replaced with a couple rows of coins. In hindsight, I have no clue why I originally made it that way.
-The flame in the middle of a string of platforms across the big red building in the City of Costansin (levels 3 & 4 - This case being level 3) has been moved to a widened platform so it's easier to avoid.
-A timer block in the Mountain world (levels 7 & 8) has been removed so Alex cannot get stuck in it when all of the blocks get triggered simultaneously.

Thank you, everybody!

-Ryan Silberman

Thank you, players + more!

Hello to anybody that reads this! I would like to thank everybody that's been playing the game so far. As a debut title for my Steam developments, I can assure that feedback on Dynamite Alex will find its way into future titles I have in mind. Such as controller support. And controller support. AND CONTRO-I'm just kidding, I know there's more to it than just controller support.

Since I am intending to have this game ported to Xbox One, however, it does seem like adding controller support would be a necessity I'd have to rectify possibly later this month. So who knows? Maybe Dynamite Alex will indeed get controller support on Steam later. Trading cards are also an idea that may be implemented in the distant future, but I'm not sure when exactly.

Lastly, for any supporters that are willing to go above and beyond, I have merchandise for Dynamite Alex available on Amazon and Redbubble! Both sites have T-Shirts available, but par for the course of redbubble merch, there's even more to choose from on the latter. Have a look!
